Obviously she didn't want to do it, or maybe she thought I was rich, but I wish she had just been upfront with me before I spent the money on the fabric. I will never go back to them

I have not personally had the pleasure of doing business with The Sewing Box, so why am I giving…read morethis location five stars? I recently learned that this shop has been servicing the Blue Angels' uniforms for the past **43 years**. I also learned that the Sewing Box not only provided uniforms for the pilots, but also the entire flight crew! Unfortunately, for reasons I don't fully understand, that contract did not continue this year. As a citizen of the United States, I have always been impressed by the quality and appearance of the Blue Angels' uniforms. After looking into the history of the contract, I was surprised to learn that The Sewing Box provided that level of quality at a significantly lower cost than the bid associated with the new contract. To me, that says something worth recognizing: **high-quality craftsmanship, decades of experience, and exceptional value.** For that reason, I'd like to do what little I can to support this local business. I hope that someday I'll have the opportunity to bring something in and experience their craftsmanship firsthand. The article below begins by identifying The Sewing Box as a Black woman-owned business. While I certainly think that is worth recognizing, what impresses me most is the **quality of the work, the longevity of the service, and the value they provided.
