I asked "how do you walk off if someone is asking a question?" I then said this is not free, you were paid for a service that wasn't done properly and we're returning it for corrections! I have been using the shop since moving back to Pensacola almost three years ago. The last two times have been less than stellar. In February I had a dress altered. The alterations came to $60. The dress was still falling off my shoulders and I was told the job was "a lot" to do. No additional alterations were offered without me paying more. On May 2nd, I dropped off a pair of pants to be taken in at the waist. I was told to pick them up on the 9th. I went in on the 11th. They were not ready. I returned on the 15th. They could not find the pants. After 30 minutes of searching the pants were found folded with someone else's items. I was told to return the 15th. I returned the pants were still not finished. I was finally able to get the pants on June 3. When I asked why didn't they just call, the lady stated "you don't call me so I don't call you." Thinking that she misunderstood my statement I shared that I was disappointed that my pants were not completed on time she stated, "I'm not upset when people don't pickup on time!" Ma'am you had my pants for a month! She literally did not care. And no I don't want a discount I want the service I paid for by the date and time you gave me at the time of agreement. read more

They did a professional job shortening the sleeves. I was told it would take one week to do the job due to their workload. I went to this place to do some simple alterations to my two pants and the lady there was able to help me with it . Once she finished she said ok for this two pants will be $80 plus taxes and fees. To be honest, I realized that the changes were minimum and it was a little expensive for me and I decided to leave, after that the lady was very rude to me. I definitely not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Value Trina was a nightmare in terms of professionalism. I took her 2 dress for wedding alterations. First of all I found her prices exorbitant. $40 for hemming a simple dress. I went with figuring she was good and didn't mind paying it if done well. My mom's was perfect. My dress is another story. She hemmed it backwards. Shorter in the back and longer in the front. She insisted and yelled at my mom and I that she did what I asked her to. She refused to come out from behind the counter to look at her error. I had forgotten my receipt at home. I asked to see her copy and she refused. When I got home my receipt stated 1 inch longer in the back. The dress was clearly hemmed shorter in the back and longer in the front. After a very very stressfull interaction. I stated I don't want to argue anymore. The damage was done. She could not add to the dress anymore now that she cut it but that she had to correct the front. It was obviously too long. She corrected it but offered no apology or reduced charge for her error. I still cannot believe how she treated my mom and I for her error. She was stubborn and combative. She yelled at us from behind the counter as she waved her arms in the air at us. Here I am at 2 pm on Saturday checking my schedule for my new job and find out I have back to back functions on Monday beginning at 5 am. The second function is tuxedo shirt and pants and I discover they forgot to hem my pants when they gave me my uniform. Scrambling to find someone not only open on Saturday ( I knew no one would be on Sunday) but also able and willing to alter the pants on the fly I found Nguyen Alterations and made the call. She did a beautiful job, and I cannot compliment her work enough. She patched up a pair of slacks that had an awful hole in them. When she handed me back the pants, I had trouble locating where the hole originally was. That is how great her repair was! And she turned an old, baggy suit jacket into something fitted and stylish. I had last a lot of weight but I decided to try this horrid alterer out. I brought an ancient pair of white polyester pants in to her. She said she would hem them take in the legs & crotch. She charged me $25.00 cash up front. I thought that was extremely exorbitant for such an old pair of slacks. She is in an excellent location next to WM on Hood. When I picked them up, I did not have time to try them on in the store. After trying them on @ home, I saw all she did, sloppily at that was hem them. I brought them back and told her she had not done what she said she would do and I could not wear them. She was very nasty and said tough luck. I would not go back or recommend her to my worse enemy. read more
