Run. Like. Bloody. Hell. Don't eat the "chicken" and goupy, thick sauces. Wings so small they must be made from baby chics.

The brewery is located in an industrial park about 25-30mins drive outside of Brisbane CBD (approx. $50 cab ride or $40 UberX oneway). We were pleasantly surprised to find the brewery buzzing when we arrived, a game of Cornhole underway in the front outdoor area, tables filled with beer paddles & a food truck (Puerto Taco) churning out delicious tacos to make sure we had a stomach lining while we tasted all their delicious beer. The inside bar/brewery/seating area is cozy, tables adorned with lamps made from old ten pin bowling pins, a games area upstairs as well as other board games to master at your tables while you drink. The bar itself has plenty of taps meaning they can have plenty of rotating beers on show and also keep a decent bottle list for dine-in or takeaway too. And of course this leads me to their beer, I was already a fan before I arrived but Bacchus put out some really creative & interesting craft beers, meaning you'll more than likely find something to drink whether you're a beer snob, beer n00b or non-beer drinker (everyone has to try the Lamington Dark Ale, the nose alone will sweep you away to Lamington-land :p).

We were looking forward to a good breakfast and ordered the Big Breakfast with avocado added and a couple of coffees. When our breakfast arrived it looked good, but as soon as we touched the eggs they were hard and rubbery and our hearts sank. There's not much worse than overcooked poached eggs. Cutting into the eggs, all 4 were hard boiled with an overwhelming smell and taste of vinegar. If the eggs were just hard we would have still eaten them, but all we could taste was vinegar and the whites were rubbery and inedible. The waitress offered to replace them with fried eggs after talking to the cook. She advised that the cook could only make poached eggs with vinegared water and they couldn't guarantee that the same thing wouldn't happen again. We look forward to soft poached eggs with breakfast every Saturday, so we took the chance that if they were cooked properly they wouldn't taste like vinegar...unfortunately that was a very bad mistake. The eggs were replaced with terribly under-cooked poached eggs with raw whites oozing all over the plate. The thin layer of cooked whites on the outside still tasted only like vinegar so we just ate the yolks. The rest of the breakfast was nice, but we left feeling like the cook had no idea how to poach eggs, or had deliberately under cooked the eggs to the point that they were also inedible. Either way, we wouldn't go back.

The joint is unassuming and casual but the service and the food is beyond delightful. Cheery, helpful and kid-friendly. I was thrilled to see a few toddlers already dining there on a Saturday night. Even more thrilled that they were not at all fussed when we asked for a table change away from the cold draft of our original table. The choice of beers (Green Beacon) excited my husband who'd already spied his top two faves in the fridge. We ordered the bacon and blue for him, cheeseburger for me and buffalo wings to share and our companions also ordered the lamb and tatziki burger. We were all extremely happy with our choices. The cheeseburger is always my go to, when trying a new burger joint and this didn't disappoint me. I observed the melted cheese when my waitress brought the dish and I was salivating. The patty was perfectly cooked, the brioche was light and tasty. My taste buds were doing the samba! Joy of joys! The buffalo wings were flavoursome and absolutely divine! I could honestly devour them in one sitting sans the burger. I didn't notice any hot sauce but you didn't need them. It was just the right amount of heat (not overpowering at all). Brew Master's, I'll definitely be back!

Many of you may remember its previous incarnation of the dodgy Mustang bar, but gone are the sticky floors, childlike clientele and (unfortunately) the pool tables of old. It has been replaced with a relaxed but moody downstairs, industrial lighting teamed with leather couches add to the atmosphere in the dining hall. Here you can get some typical North American pub grub teamed with a lottery of 23 rotating ales on the back wall. I had the pig & fig pizza which was tasty and a decent size, you could as share it... My dining partners had the piggy back ribs & the pulled pork roll which they though the meat was perhaps a little mushy, whilst also still tasty. Downstairs from time to time you'll also have live music on stage as well as access to a shuffle board game plus a giant mammoth to go with its name sake... Once you wander upstairs, that's where the stark contrast happens, it's like a vibrant tropical courtyard garden popping with colour and an airy feel, the lounging areas are great as is the view onto the busy-ness of Anne street. You can also keep yourself occupied whilst drinking up here with bocci on the "lawn" and giant Jenga. All in all, I think it's got a great vibe & I'll be back!

We also tried one of the pizza's as was a bit disappointed as the dough in the centre was raw. Craft beers were delicious but the descriptions did not always match up with what we were tasting. The place was really clean, but the bathrooms need some ventilation. Feel bad for the mammoth in the room, it definitely has seen better days.

They were super friendly and let you enjoy the space and your company. They serve you water as soon as you are seated and then ask you what you'd like. I had the Lucy while my friend had the Coffee Ale. The sizes come in Pony, Mare, or Stallion! My friend loved the coffee ale. I'm not the biggest beer fan but the Lucy was light. We started to chit-chat with the bartenders and they showed us this chili vodka! He had me at "Chili..." My friend had the Bloody Mary and she kept raving how it was tomato soup for adults. She loved it! The bartender was great and nervous about creating a drink for me. We went with a pineapple chili vodka with a touch of mint. Yum! It needs some fine tuning but the foundation is set. We were having a great time and as if beer to vodka wasn't enough, we moved right along to tequila! Yes, some quality tequila and verdita. I'm a huge fan and they explained to us how quality tequila is for sipping. We didn't want to leave but the time had come. Thankfully, I know I'll be coming back very soon. Thanks for a great Introduction.
