This is a good place for lunch, if you can get a lunch deal…read more I ordered online for takeaway. Sadly, there were no lunch deals available with the online ordering system, so my meal was less of a bargain. I ordered a strawberry matcha tea with brown sugar boba and karaage with lo mein. As I was driving over, I received a call from the restaurant informing me that since they just opened that morning, the boba would not be ready for an hour, so I could either wait or switch to popping boba (I chose the latter). Also, the karaage is no longer on the menu, so could they switch to whole wings? Fine. The food was ready when I arrived. It was packaged in styrofoam, and the corners were NOT punched out, so by the time I got home, the chicken was no longer crispy. (Thankfully, I did sample a wing in the parking lot before I drove home, so I can say that the wings are crispy and delicious if eaten immediately.) I had ordered medium spice, and it was spicy! And I like spice! If you are not spice tolerant, go with mild or no spice. My lips are still feeling hot. I thought the food was good, not life changing. Pretty typical Americanized Chinese food plus wings. My matcha tea was on the sweet side and with not a lot of matcha flavor. I wish I could have requested a lower level of sweetness on the online ordering site.

For my drink, I took the chocolate old fashioned (13 dollars). It was strong enough and chocolatly to enjoy. For my main plate, I chose the chicken wings (10 for 17 dollars), half fat rabbit sauce (quite garlicky) and other half siracha. While the wings were not breaded, they were still fried. It was definitely crispy, but still meaty and tender. The sauces were flavorful, and the siracha had the right amount of heat. The ranch dressing was homemade and so good, I ended up drinking it. There could have been more celery, but it was fresh and crispy. They only had one dessert, and unfortunately it wasn't homemade, so I passed. My bartender was friendly, but busy. She had a helper, but lots of patrons to serve. Yet, she was still very nice and helpful when needed. The vibe is social and casual. I would have thought they would have more USF students, but mostly locals who are enjoying a good atmosphere. Outdoor seating is available as well, and it looks like you can bring your pooch too. When it was time to check out and pay, I noticed they forgot to charge me for my drink. When I mentioned that, they told me not to worry about it. It was a very nice gesture from them. Parking here is easy as it is located in the Publix complex. There is also a Don Julio's and Bundt Cakes nearby for dessert too. The Fat Rabbit pub provides great casual bar food in a social atmosphere. The indoor dining is large enough to feel comfortable, and outdoor seating is also there if you want to enjoy with your dog. I am glad I chose this place again as it was near my hotel. Definitely coming back for more great bar food at reasonable prices. Overall: A

Our server was incredibly attentive and super friendly. I wish we had servers like her at every restaurant that we dine at. We each got the chicken wings. My husband got the lemon pepper rub and I got the Cajun. Cajun definitely has a little bit of a kick to it but overall found them very delicious. Lemon pepper definitely is very lemon forward but overall we both enjoyed our wings. They were cooked great, and had a good crunch to them. I also tried their North Irish red ale, which was delicious. And you can't go wrong with a three dollar beer!

Bottom line up front - meh…read more I went here this afternoon after seeing this business highlighted this morning by my local TV station, FOX 13 - WTVT. This is a sports bar that apparently serves wings. And they are supposed to be "famous wings." We will see. It was about 1130 when we got there and I was surprised to see quite a few people already in the place, usually an indication that a place is good. The menu was not too big or too small, another good sign (to me anyway) that they have mastered a simpler menu. I ordered 10 wings, which are quite pricey at $18.49. I chose two flavors, "Hot" and "Spicy Garlic Parmesan." Their menu states that the hot is "very very hot." I can eat heat, so I expected "very very hot." They came out hot (just cooked) and about an average size. But nothing about them smelled like they were "very very hot." They were cooked well, meaning they weren't overcooked or undercooked. They come out unbreaded. I looked them over and one side had Parmesan cheese shreds and the other was also wet. But Spicy? No. The 5 wings that were suppose to be hot tasted like ordinary buffalo sauce with no heat to it. The 5 wings that were suppose to be Spicy Garlic Parmesan were not spicy or garlic flavored. You could taste the Parmesan, but that is it. What a disappointment. Since the server did not come back after the food arrived, there was zero chance to address this, even if I had wanted to. To be honest, I usually won't fight with the server to make something better. I feel that if I get something from the kitchen, that they made my food the way they always make that kind of food. So, my point is that they really suck at making wings with sauce on them. Since this is the first time I've been here, I can't say if this version of their wings is the norm, or a one off. But, I don't live in the immediate area and this is just an ordinary sports bar with mediocre wings, so I likely won't come back. Should you? If you have other options, I'd probably not go out of my way to come here. There are plenty of other places to try. If I was a local and looking for a sports bar, this might be worth a few more visits to see if anything else on the menu is worth it., and to watch sports. They have a ton of TVs and from where I sat I could see no less than 5 TVs. One last note. Charley, the wings at this place sucked. You should be ashamed. I trusted you.
