We ordered a sticky finger meal, wing meal, and a cheeseburger and all of them were as dry as the Sahara desert. We waited for an hour after ordering before finally getting our food while people of the same size party coming in almost a half an hour after we did got their food at the same time. day 13 of my trip. i finally made it here. i almost ran out of gas in a snowstorm on my way towards idaho. i was like on empty. my friend tony c warned me i may try to push it through and i did like a dumbass and theres like no gas stations just miles and miles of windy mountain road. only thing i saw is a cement factory in the middle of nowhere. if i would have been stuck out here i would be dead probably from the cold. and no ones gonna stop for me, realistically i don't think. i would try to walk and die like that one dude who tried to walk for help for his family and froze to death gulp. but luckily i found a station and made it to wingers for dinner! its a diner, 50's style with cute waitresses with lots of tattoos and lots of john deere outlets all over this area. this place had a lot of cool signs as i posted on this business. i tried their special. whenever i see, "try our famous chicken wings" i think of fancy buffalo wings with heinz 57 sauce and teriyaki mixed together and called the secret sauce. and what do you know, thats what i got. it was ok. but the inside is fun to look at and the servers were cool. so it is just that a fun lil spot to take your prom date if you lived here and had where else to go. as i saw gang of kids here in prom attire or winter formal attire or homecoming or whatever the hell it was. oh but i was able to pirate free wifi from their parking lot from the sleep inn next door. score! read more

My husband and I came here on the way back from a trip back from Nevada. By the time we stumbled into the joint, we were exhausted and were just wanting some grub to get us back on our way. By the time the waitress had come to take our order, we had already been waiting a good 10 minutes. We were starving, so when my burger game I dove right in. It fell apart in my hand. It was over cooked. The honey mustard I asked for tasted like no other honey mustard I've had before... and not in a good way. I was sure when I asked for a refill on my soda, the waitress' eyes were about to fall out of her head since she rolled them so hard. While it isn't Roscoes style -- two boneless chicken breasts -- considering the location, I didn't have much to complain about. When you've been driving the five hours from Bend (or just ahead of the five hours to Bend), you know you're not going to get much in the way of decent food. While I only sampled one dish, you probably have to figure the rest of the menu has got to be at least halfway decent. Great place to eat on our trip to Ontario. The popcorn appetizer (where normally the restaurant would serve bread) was novel. I love the taste of popcorn, but hate it stuck in my teeth, so I stayed away. We ordered burgers and they were really good. Can't go wrong with a big, thick bacon cheeseburger. My order came with unlimited steak fries that reminded me of Red Robins. My boyfriend ordered onion rings as his side. They were ok, but I preferred my fries. I'm not going to rave about the food, because it's an "odd" combination of cuisine to say the least. The "Bull Tacos" for example... a steak taco served in what appears to be a bad attempt at a tortilla that's been heated until it's stiff and served with a mango salsa and pico de gallo. I know shows like Hell's Kitchen have made mango salsa the new hotness and all... but to serve it with pico is absolutely wrong, especially on that tortilla. And here's the shocking part... it actually worked to some level that made it decent. I am not entirely sure how, but it was edible and even pleasant. The wait staff here is spot on, and you couldn't ask for better from a roadhouse style family restaurant. Attentive service and adorable with all the smiles and friendliness. I wish I could rate them a 5 independently and the cooks and menu a 2 because it would explain the experience so much better. For a paleo eater on the road, you won't get much in the way of "pure paleo" but this place can help you get close. I asked on my first visit for a substitution of the potatoes and bread, and they happily brought me a salad... covered in croutons. Ah well, I should have clarified. On my second trip they happily exchanged portions of the meal I couldn't eat with a veggie concoction of broccoli and squash cut up to look like fries that was actually extremely tasty. I would choose no stars if it was an option. Waited 45 mins when we were told it would be a 20 min wait. After being seated we waited a hour before our food came. very poor service. Ended up taking our food to go. when asked how our meal was and explaining that we did not have enough time to eat due to the long wait after placing our order the attitude that was given was unnecessary. we will no be going back to Wingers again. read more

My kids and I ate at Winger's while staying overnight at the Sleep Inn next door. It was just what we expected. Very convenient, zero wait for our table. Service was friendly but a bit slow. Food was average, and a bit overpriced. Full bar was nice after a long days drive though. All in all, it was just fine. If staying at the Sleep Inn again, we would go again. I've been here for breakfast twice. The first time I had Trash Hash & Eggs, today I had Chicken Fried Steak. Both were delicious!!! The Chicken Fried Steak could be cut with a fork and I shared it with my husband. The biscuits are made from scratch and my husband loves them!!! Our waitress Yvonne is top notch!!! She is friendly, made sure our coffee cups were always full and to our surprise, she remembered us from our first visit!!! Her manager came over and introduced herself and made sure we well taken care of. We told her how great our waitress and food is and after talking with her, we have nothing but praise for this manager (sorry I forgot her name) too. Next time we go to the movies, we will be stopping in for dinner. I noticed that customers who came in after us were also well treated. read more

Great wings! We usually frequent BWW, but reluctantly gave Wingers a try while on a road trip. The wings were excellent and the steak fries where above par. We had the wings in their house and naked style. The house style is slightly breaded and naked is just fried sans coating. Both where crispy and tender, with the house style being my favorite. The house sauce was also tasty; it had a spicy molasses flavor, which I liked second to the spicy chili sauce. The fries where steak fries with a slight paprika salting (think Red Robin). Overall, this place just raised the bar on wings for me. The only thing that I would prefer would be trivia and perhaps a less fast-foodish atmosphere. read more

This is my new favorite restaurant in town. I made a to go order here several months back and forgot to retrieve my debit card, left for D.C. Then realized I was missing my card. I was about to cancel my card when I checked with them and they had my card, safeguarded it and returned it to me. They renewed my faith in humanity, as it could easily have been a negative situation. The honesty and genuine care of the management and staff is to be commended. Since then, my wife and I have frequented this establishment and have nothing but positive regard for the staff. They are always courteous, happy, and enjoy what they do...take care of their customers. They also have the best pancakes I have ever eaten, besides the ones my wife makes. Was staying at a hotel in Ontario, OR and asked for a good, but not break the bank place to eat. I'm pretty much a vegetarian, but will eat seafood if no other options are available. The hotel recommended Wingers and told me to try the fish tacos. Oh my! I've eaten my share of fish tacos, but these rank right up there with the best. The meal I ordered for takeout on Sunday evening was quite good - house salad and garlic fries and gets 5 stars. However paying for it was odd. The bill came to 8.98 so I gave the waitress $10.00. She asked me if I wanted the two pennies. Thinking she didn't have it I chuckled and said "no." Then she asked me if I wanted the $1.00! I was flabbergasted that she asked for my money rather than let me determine what I'd leave for a tip! Staying at the Sleep Inn and decided to come here for dinner simply based on convenience. Had the boneless chicken tenders with their signature sauce - pretty good overall. The sauce was thick and kind of all over the place, but it was pretty tasty. My friend had the mushroom and onion burger (on a veggie patty). She said it was super tasty. I have had other winger experiences at other locations that were below anyones normal standard of quality food and good service. I will say if you are looking for a place to eat in this part of Oregon and can't wait till you get to Nampa Idaho this is a good place to have lunch. Meh. It was ok... for Ontario. It looked super cute from the outside and had a fun kitschy feel but once we were inside the restaurant it seemed like it needed a good scrub down. The booth was just plain dirty so I tidied it up with some hand sanitizer and diaper wipes so that I could feel better about having my two year old eat there. The food was bland and boring. I had the fish tacos and they were ok. I was relieved to see the fish grilled instead of fried. My husband had a burger and it literally had no flavor and the bun on it was just plain weird. it reminded me of a kitchen sponge. The service was substandard.
