The are perfectly deep fried and then tossed in a seasoning that is so secret that mums the word. No matter how hard I try to pry. Sometimes when I'm on Atkins I ask if there is sugar in it. Even an easy question like that warrants the I can't say answer. All they can say is if you have any hesitations don't eat. So of course I eat it. My go to for wings. Always always get the tubby extra crispy and extra seasoning!!! However the extra seasoning may be to much for some people but, it hits the spot for me. I haven't tried any other menu items it's just hard to get away from the full set of wings. read more

The wing joint has been around for years and my husband suggested it last night for dinner before grocery shopping. No one wants to go grocery shopping hungry so I agreed. The place has sitting inside but is small as most of there business is take out. The lady working at the counter was very friendly and helpful since I hadn't been there in awhile and my husband had never been there. I had the five wing dinner and my husband had six wings and mushrooms. The wings came out blazing hot so had to wait for them to cool down. This was hard because they looked and smelled so good. I started with the coleslaw, fries and toast while I waited. They were all really good but I wanted to sing into the wings. Once I did I was not disappointed they were very crispy but not dry and delicious. The right amount of salt for wings. Wing joint is the place you want to go to satisfy a craving for chicken wings . Not a bad place but nothing special. The rub was pretty tasty and the shrimp were OK. The prices weren't bad around $7 to $12 for a meal. They seem to have a pretty solid customer base so it's worth checking out. read more

Was in the mood for some chicken after a long drive from Chicago. This place looks like any other restaurant from the outside, but is amazing on the inside. In fact, the unassuming appearance adds to the charm of the place. Friendly workers which greet you right away and are not pushy in any way when deciding what to order. Food is delicious. Had the 4 wing dinner with buffalo sauce on the side. You can tell there is great pride taken in the food they serve. Chicken is seasoned well and the is fall-off-the-bone tender. Decent-sized wings, good value for the money. Downside: they load them up with some kind of salt-heavy seasoning. The wings were literally glistening with salt. We had to scrape of the excess before they were palatable. Dial back the sodium and I think those wings would definitely stand out. read more

I decided to give the Wing Joint a try. I like the fact that that aren't just a copy of the buffalo wings every place sells. I bought an 18 pack because they had a deal that day for $17.95. The rub is very good. If it wasn't for the touch of sweetness I would have thought I was at the old King of Wings in N Mpls. I used to eat there a lot in the early 90's. With these wings you dip your choice of sauce vs having them tossed in the sauce. BTW these are full wings and they are a decent size. Head there and toss down a few. read more

Love this place! Always fresh food everytime I eat here. The staff are incredibly friendly as well. Their brosted chicken and cheese oles are my go to when eating here. The chicken very hot and juicy when it arrives so be careful! Wings and ribs are honestly just OK and their burgers are good too but nothing special. One thing you can count on though is that it will be fresh. Even if you have wait 15 minutes or more for your food, it is worth it. Very small place though and it can get pretty warm. They have take out too though and with how fresh the food is, you won't have to worry about it getting cold by the time you get home :) read more

OMG! Absolute rudest people I've ever met on this side of town. Do not go here! The food sucked. It was all premade bulk purchased frozen things from food service places that were shoved in a deep fryer and then overly salted. I have no idea how this shitty place stays in business. The original cashier was nice enough, but after she left, it all went downhill. The guy who was cooking and the brown woman with the dumb fake flowers in her hair were truly HORRID. Before closing time they started telling us to get out and they started dimming the lights over and over. On our way out of the door, still before closing time, I told Flower that it would be fine to be rude to people if we stayed past closing time, but maybe they should be polite up until that point. They got very snotty and did the fake apology thing, but it was obvious that this is their normal behavior. We have been getting wings from here for years. The dry rub they use is consistent and phenomenal. However, the wings they have been serving are so small, that they are literally skin on bones. OMG! They have the BEST wings in the entire metro area. I've been to the Wing Joint a number of times. The wings aren't sauced but rubbed with a blend of herbs and spices that are just mouth watering. The spices aren't "hot" but have a mix of flavors. It reminds me a bit of the old Art Songs in Minneapolis. Unfortunately I don't get up by the Wing Joint as often as I used to but I do make a point of getting up there every few weeks. The wings are crisp, juicy and send a spiced flavor sensation across your tongue as you devour them. They make the wings fresh when you order. I usually call to order ahead of time and order a bucket. They take about 10 to 15 minutes to cook. I have to admit I start eating them while driving home. Not the safest I know but they're soo good. I get mine with extra seasoning. They also offer other kinds of chicken, ribs, burgers, cheese curds, etc but to be honest all I've gotten are the chicken wings with the occasional onion ring order to add some veggies to the meal! They do have a few booths but most orders seem to be take out. It's located in a little strip mall so there's plenty of nearby parking too. They have a special on 24 wings on Tuesdays. read more

I admit it, I've driven by Wing Joint on my way home from work for the past 15 years . . . and never thought to stop. Last night, I was on my way home from work, I realized I really had no food in the house, and didn't want to go to the grocery store, and I wanted chicken wings. So, I stopped at Wing Joint. There were no other customers in the store . . . which made me kinda leery . . . but the employees were so friendly and helpful to a first timer that I felt right a home. I ordered six wings and a half rack of ribs (just to try a variety). While waiting for my order - a line of customers (who had obviously phoned in their orders) came in and left with their food. I got my order in about 10 minutes and made my way home. I got the sweet and sour sauce (they make this sauce onsite) and sat down try the wings and ribs. All I can say is, while the sauce was wonderful, not to cloyingly sweet, the wings do not need any sauce!! There is a hint of either cinnamon or nutmeg in the rub they use on the wings that is incredible! The ribs are very good - I would suggest a bit longer in the smoker for a better smoke ring on the meat . . . but that is just my personal taste. I guess the best endorsement I can give the place is that I went back tonight to get their "Tub Tuesday" Special - 24 wings for $22.95 to take to my Sister and Brother-in-law's for dinner tonight. I'm just afraid that they will like the wings so much that I won't have many to take home with me after dinner!!! read more

Probably the best chicken wings I have ever tasted in my life. The wings are well seasoned and has this unique taste that doesn't compare to your typical chicken wings. Ever since I moved out of the area a few years ago, I always find myself craving for these hot, fresh and delicious wings and end up making a 40 min drive out to satisfy my cravings and let me tell you, it is worth the drive. I usually like to call in before hand and make an order so when I arrive the wings are done and ready to take home. Highly recommend getting the hot sauce and the blue cheese dipping sauce. read more
