The interior is in excellent condition and the books inside were almost neatly stacked. A good collection of hardcovers and softcovers today. The Daily Show one was my favorite. As soon as she started walking and talking, I was prepared for the next chapter--but unfortunately, what followed was a series of deeply troubling experiences. First, my 2-year-old developed unexplained black eyes. No clear incident was ever reported or explained. Not long after, she contracted a scalp ringworm infection, which I later learned was likely due to the unsanitary conditions of the daycare environment. These are serious red flags for any parent. I also had numerous unprofessional and upsetting encounters with a staff member named Victoria. She was consistently disrespectful and misused her authority. On top of that, they withheld incident reports that I am legally entitled to receive, along with financial documentation I requested. Things escalated when I pushed back against the disrespectful treatment. Because I did not respond submissively when Victoria made a demand--nor did I appreciate being dismissed when I asked to speak with someone in charge--she locked me in her office, called the police, and falsely accused me of assaulting a teacher. This was an incredibly traumatizing and unjust experience. After that, I tried to give another location a chance, specifically the one on Prosperity Church Road, hoping for better treatment. I spoke with Summer, who initially seemed professional and helpful. But sadly, our experiences only worsened at the second location. Please take this review seriously before deciding to entrust your child to either of these daycare centers. No parent should have to endure what my children and I went through.

The stone wall that surrounds the cemetery was erected in memory of Major John Davidson, a signer of the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence, May 20th, 1775, and his wife Violet Wilson Davidson and their descendants. Erected by Edward Lee Baxter Davidson. Homestead built 1788 and burned 1886. All of the graves have dates from many years ago. The tall obelisk denotes the final resting place of Robert Davidson, 1769-1853. Next to it, John Davidson, 1735-1832 and Violet Wilson who signed the Resolutions to Committee of Safety in 1776. Just from speaking to them over the phone, I could really tell that they were personable and jolly people. You don't always find that nowadays so I wanted to make sure that I let them know that during my tour. I was not able to remember everyone's name but the receptionist with the fade and the receptionist with the brunette hair and glasses were very kind and down to earth whenever I had questions or concerns about anything. Even the Financial Secretary (if I'm not mistaken) has been kind to me throughout our short experience with Early Beginnings. Unfortunately, my son and I were not given a chance to experience the extension of kindness in its totality due to being excused from the daycare after my son only attended a day and a half. On his first full day (8/14/23) I was told that he had some problems with listening and getting into the routine which caused problems within the classroom. I attempted to try and talk to his teacher about it the following day but was told that it was understood that this was his first daycare experience and to let some time go by so he could become acclimated (8/15/23). By 11am that same day, I received a phone call with my son crying nonstop in the background and was asked to pick him immediately. Upon my arrival, the Financial Secretary (I believe that was her position) spoke to me about how the environment was overstimulating for my child and how Early Beginnings does not have the staff to give him the extra attention he needs to acclimate him at this time. This truly upset and hurt me to my core that after just a day and a half of enrollment he was being asked to leave. The swiftness of it makes me feel uneasy and uncertain about any interventions or extra care that was taken during that time to help him, if they were given with patience and understanding at all. My son is not a neurotypical child but you are not able to notice it upfront. It is more obvious during social settings. Regardless of whether or not he is a neurotypical child, he should've been given a fighting chance to show whether or not Early Beginnings really would've been "a good fit" for him or not. A day and a half is not enough time to observe whether or not any child will be able to adapt to routines or learn to interact appropriately within a classroom and with peers. I really hope in the future the company will reflect on how unfair this quick termination is to any child and how it effects the child and parent emotionally to be turned away so quickly without any offerings of adjustments, interventions or even a conference with the Director and/or Assistant Director. Please take into consideration that every child you enroll will not always be pleasant or easy to teach and that it will require dedication, work and genuine love for what you do to assist any child in this World.

After two years of our child going here (and graduating pre-k might I add), we can truly say we had…read morea great experience. Even with the transition of her going to a different class once she got older, the experience of both classrooms were great. The teachers love the students like Their own, but including healthy boundaries. My child loved her teachers so much she would look forward to Going to "school" and would have a story to tell About all she learned and did for the day at pick Up. Early beginnings really made enrolling our daughter at a new school pleasant for both of us. The communication is great and modern from the apps used, Cameras in class and the emails from staff; you are able to have open communication with the teachers and staff. The staff is knowledgeable and it's amazing how they Learn and know all of the students to greet them upon arrival. They have all kinds of fun activities for the kids and sometimes parents too. I loved the theme days! It kept the day exciting and the kids look forward to going to school. If you are not one of the people who are ashamed to discuss the goodness of God, I believe you'll enjoy this place as they have values in forgiveness, prayer, and love. I also love the diversity of the students and staff, that truly mirrors the world we live in and gives your child additional layers. We felt comfortable with our Child going here and though she graduated pre-k, she is still mentioning her previous teacher over the Summer. My child was not enrolled as an infant, however as a 3-5year old, we loved every bit and she learned a lot!Thank you for all that you do! I pray this place continues to grow and keep God first. Located in Salisbury adjacent to the Rowan County Courthouse and a number of churches, this marker…read morepoints out the history of the cemetery that is just next to it. Marker L-71 reads, "Cornwallis' men buried here in 1781. Granted to city in 1770 by British government. Grave of Gov. John W. Ellis is here." The online essay has more information. "The land for what has come to be known as the Old English Cemetery in Salisbury was originally set aside for the town by the colonial assembly in 1770. The title for the "Burying Ground" was assigned to the town commissioners, one of whom was Thomas Frohock. Frohock donated the plot to the city upon his death in 1794. Over the ensuing decades the cemetery became the final resting place for generations of the leaders of Rowan County. Best known of those individuals was Gov. John Ellis (1820-1861), who died seven months into his term as the state's chief executive. The cemetery includes a number of unmarked British graves, those likely being the remains of soldiers in Cornwallis's army who died while in jail in Salisbury. Cornwallis's camp was situated on the property where the Rowan Public Library now stands and his soldiers used the old town well at the back of the library property. "The oldest grave in the cemetery is that of Col. Daniel Little who died on December 10, 1775. The cemetery was restored by the Pine Tree Garden Club of Salisbury in the 1960s. The Freedmen's Cemetery is separated from the Old English Cemetery by a stone wall. In recent years efforts have been mounted to memorialize those buried in the Freedmen's Cemetery and to repair the monuments in the Old English Cemetery." I spotted this food bank box in the parking lot and circled around to check it out. On a Sunday morning, church services hadn't yet started to pour in, so I was able to visit the food bank and get photos without being disturbed. I did not have anything with me to add to it this morning. Sadly, the shelves in the food box were bare today. It was rather confusing to navigate, and while they did have a person in a booth, as well as some…read moresignage, I found the signs kind of too little too late (or maybe I went the wrong way??). The person was blocked by a vehicle that may have been for the county, or may have just been a person dropping off. They were there the whole time. Anyway, when you pull in, go directly to your right if you want to recycle something. There are different stations based on the material. The bins in the middle are for cardboard and such, all labeled so you can tell. The electronics were on the right side in a covered area. TV monitors and accessories are separate stops FYI. The exit was confusing... I drove toward the exit signs and they seemed to be leading to where the trash trucks were going?? I turned around and went back the way I came. You may never need to come here, but if you're disposing of a TV/computer monitor, this is the place to go, as it is illegal to throw out with curbside trash. This facility also seems to have compost/mulch services. They do a lot here, so it really is a good thing for the community. Just felt like I was wandering through a maze.
