The box has three shelves which makes enough room for the really tall books, paperbacks and a low shelf for "other stuff. Today, mostly fiction books and a cookbook. "Teeth are Not for Biting" is valuable advice for everyone. Very cute that they have directions and distances signs on the base pointing to Oz, 100 Akerwood, Cheshire, Narnia and other imagination places. On a Sunday morning, the playground was full of kids and parents running about and playing. The library is brown with brown trim on a single stand. It looks amazingly sturdy. Inside, two shelves full of mostly children's books which is appropriate considering the location. This is charter number 182992. It is listed on the Little Free Library site but there is no caption or steward's name. I also did not see anything on the library other than the usual plaque. What are the chances?! Ironically, I've been meaning to knock on the door of our neighbors to personally thank them. But, here it is on Yelp, so I'll just thank them here instead. Thank you for taking the time, effort, and using your personal funds to improve our neighborhood. My heart warmed a bit when I saw it go up a few years ago. So, thank you! (Side note: Your front yard always looks impeccable, it puts the rest of us to shame. :-) ) All of that said, here is my review: In my experience, the structure itself is well built and well maintained, the book selection is eclectic and varies. That's to be expected, that's the case with all FREE neighborhood libraries, you find books covering a wide range of genres and reading levels. I've found and read a few gems and donated a few in return. I'm truly grateful to live in a neighborhood with neighbors that care enough to make this available to all of us.
