The box has three shelves which makes enough room for the really tall books, paperbacks and a low shelf for "other stuff. Today, mostly fiction books and a cookbook. "Teeth are Not for Biting" is valuable advice for everyone. Very cute that they have directions and distances signs on the base pointing to Oz, 100 Akerwood, Cheshire, Narnia and other imagination places.
