We had a blast on our wine tour with Bruce!
    Jena P.

What can I say that hasn't been said already? This was a fabulous experience from beginning to end, and I can't recommend Bruce enough. Our group of college alumnae in the DC area wanted to do an outing together. One of us (not me) did all the planning and coordinating with Bruce. The rest of us met him right before we hit the road. Bruce picked us up at the Curious Grape and the plan was to take us to three wineries. Throughout the day, Bruce shared his extensive wine knowledge with us. Normally, I get bored by people spouting facts at me, but Bruce was far from overbearing. He went with our flow and dotted the tour with interesting facts. First stop was Rappahannock Cellars, where Bruce arranged a tour with a cutie whose name I can't recall. Second stop was the BEST. We went to Grey Ghost Vinyards. Oh. Em. Gee. It was good. We had a personal tour and tasting with the owner. What a treat! We ate our lunch from The Curious Grape overlooking the grounds, which were lovely. The food was delicious, and I think there may have been actual crack cocaine in the cookie because it was, by far, the best thing I have ever put in my mouth. Chocolate. Caramel. Sea Salt. Enough said. The third winery was a total dud, and was supposed to be the grand finale. After Grey Ghost, I can see how it might have been hard to please us, but this place was just awful. from the wine to the attitudes. Bruce, being the amazing guy he is, offered to take us to ANOTHER winery to make up for it. We ended the trip on a high note at Naked Mountain Winery, which was delish. All in all, it was a perfect day. And Bruce took pictures and sent them to us, too!

Bruce is so detail oriented - he planned a perfect day for me and my three girlfriends. He picked us up promptly at 11a from a downtown DC hotel. He knew a lot of historic facts to tell us on our drive to Leesburg. We went to three wineries that knew him and we're expecting us with personal touches because we were with him. We got a private tour on the grounds of one and a private tasting room at another. He also provided personal touches by taking pics throughout the day and having waters available. It's a bit more expensive than wine tours elsewhere but I'd use him again because of the ease and personal touches.

Removed a lot of the fuss. 2. The wineries chosen were really nice. We went to La Grange, Blue Valley, and Aspen Dale. Aspen Dale was the most thorough and interesting, although the view at Blue Valley was photo central. No shade to La Grange though, they were nice too. 3. Doni, the owner/driver, is really nice and engaging. She called the day before to confirm, and was just really cool overall. It's a new company, so I'd expect them to maybe add winery spots or more options, but for the money, it's fun and a good value. (Also, it sure as hell beats driving out there ourselves. Just sayin'.)

She made sure everything was in order and perfect for our day. Our guide Andy was phenomenal! He was very knowledgeable about the different wines and provided lots of great information and struck the perfect balance between amping up the party vibes and stepping back so we could have a little girl time. Everything about our tour was a great experience! You absolutely cannot beat the door to door service. I will definitely look to book with them again for future events or just for fun to see the other wineries/counties they partner with!

Booking the tour was easy, I did it all on their webpage. Communication prior to event with DiVine staff member Amy was clear and concise. I was confident in the plan , the lunch orders, the schedule etc. I love how the tour made the day easy and relaxing for us! Melissa picked us up promptly at our AirBnb Cottage. Our first stop was Zephaniah Winery. It is a sweet and gorgeous family operated business. The family is super friendly and amazing! We adored talking to Bonnie! She shared about the history and also we admired her colorful flowers she has planted all around. The wines at Zephaniah were exquisite! Our second stop was Williams Gap Vineyards. It was definitely a beautiful ambiance with friendly staff. We loved how cozy, innovative, and spacious the place is! Melissa was an amazing tour guide! She always checked in on us, made sure all was going great, she took great pictures of the special day! I highly recommend DiVine tours!

We had some last minute additions and she was very accommodating and efficient. Once we were picked up by our driver, Natalie, we were on our way. She was timely and communicated with me ahead of time. Additionally, she was accommodating to my demanding group who needed temperatures adjusted (this was early August) and music selections (she asked if anyone had a playlist). All of the vineyards were immaculate. The last vineyard had not updated their records to reflect our late additions, but that was not on DiVine. Pictures were taken, Natalie engaged without being creepy and communicated throughout the tour. I honestly cannot wait to do this again.
