Dining and store side of Wine Maestro

Daniel is such a kind and knowledgeable host. The serving of flights is wonderful and the atmosphere is welcoming and peaceful. The store section of Wine Maestro has a plethora of different wine styles and origins. There's really something for everyone here! Wine that has character, not just wine marketed to the masses. Wonderful experience!

I recently attended a holiday wine tasting and had a fantastic experience. The new owners have definitely made a lasting impression on me. They are super nice just all around good people. The event was well organized and planned out. We sampled various red and white wines that pair well with holiday dishes. The tasting was very educational and informative. We also enjoyed the charcuterie plate, spinach dip and pizzetta. This was such a wonderful event. I ordered my favorite import wine and it was available to pick-up when I arrived. The service and staff are impeccable here. Can't wait to visit again.

    Wine taste test

Okay, so here is the results of the moscato taste test. Wine #1 the Moscato Giallo Frizzante. This is a balanced wine, mild and floral. Slightly bubbly, just a hint. This is labeled as a sweet wine but it is not too sweet. Altogether a great wine! Wine #2, the Risata Moscato d'Asti. Again another balanced wine with mild citrus notes along with a hint of honey. No bubbles but I did not miss them. I am not picking a looser here, these were both great wines. But, the winner is..... If I am going by flavor alone, the Risata Moscato d'Asti wins. If I go by flavor of a more mature person (AKA someone that expects a little more flavor profile and not looking for something you would forget was alcohol, the Moscato Giallo wins. I was the big winner today, I got to drink both of these fantastic wines! Thanks for the experience!

First and foremost adherence to CDC COVID guidelines is most important in this period of time. The owners of this place appear to take these guidelines seriously and they follow them. That earns then 5 stars for safety. Moving on to the place itself. The decor and ambiance are very nice and tasteful. The owners that waited on us were very courteous and attentive. The food was delicious. My wife had the mussels in white wine sauce and they were really delicious. I had the black bean burger in a tortilla shell. What a cool concept. The presentation was appetising and it was delicious. The drink options were good. My wife had the wine flight. Very reasonably priced. I had the Allagash North Sky Stout and it was superb. Tip: The cheesecake is beyond delicious!! All in all this establishment deserves 5 stars and thanks to Yelp we found this gem in Mooresville. We now have another go to place in this town.

    Wine Flight!

This was my third time coming to Wine Maestro and as always I had a blast. We enjoyed wine with lots of laughs and great service. The wine and pairings were amazing. I purchased the Groupon that includes a flight for 2 and an appetizer which is a great deal. I will definitely return!

Love this place. Tucked into a busy strip mall. Great wine tasting with great food. Hubby surprised me with this tasting. Definitely be back

I woke up this morning thinking of the romantic evening my husband and I shared at The Maestro for our 19th wedding anniversary. The owners are fantastic and beyond knowledgeable. The servers are friendly and helpful beyond measure. They all make you feel like you are the only one in the restaurant. Taking care of your every whim is their specialty. My husband and I have enjoyed many flights there and they are always there to answer any questions we may have. On this particular night, we were lucky enough to enjoy the champagne flight and it did not disappoint. Okay, now on to the food. Honestly, we have never had anything bad there. My favorite is the impeccable cheese plate. Go, go, go, if you have not been. And be sure to check out the entertainment on the weekends. Thanks again for making us always feel special!

Flight offering- not a single glass wasn't great

This is the kind of place you settle in and get to know the staff. People walking up the bar ordering ; "I'd like a really nice glass of wine.." And being delivered. Food is great, the my will also sub for vegetarian friendly dishes, I recommend the mango peach salsa quesadillas. The flight we had was fantastic , great descriptions to go along with, found a new favorite. We will be back many many times, Mooresville needed someplace like this.

    New wine tasting trees!

Loved their old location and can't believe how much better the new one is! The wine shop still has some of the most amazing wines I've ever tasted and the staff is still excellent at pointing me towards the right bottle. What's new is the addition of the wine & tapas bar. Food & wine - two of my favorite things! Chef Graddie has come up with a menu that covers you when you're looking for a quick bite or when you're really hungry. Small pizzas, tasty dips, cheeses, meats, etc. Sweet tastes, too! The wine flights are the coolest addition. Five glasses are presented in a wine tree. Typically you'll have a choice from 2 flights - $10 for one or $20-$35 for the second. Wines change weekly. They have a great list of wines by the glass & bottle also. Beer on tap, too! They've added a Bubbly Brunch on Sunday and as soon as I can get to it, I'll add details. Bottom line, grab your spouse, a friend or the whole gang and spend an evening at the new & improved Maestro!

Super cute! We went on a double date using a Groupon and it was perfect! The staff was great and their spinach dip is really great! The Moravian Nachos for dessert was SO good!! The owner was really attentive as well. I'd recommend coming here for a chill evening and get their flights!

I ordered the pork belly bao buns, but they missed the mark for me. Coming from NY, I'm used to bao buns being marshmallow-soft and pillowy, but these were a hard, and the pork belly itself was quite tough. Our wonderful waitress noticed I only took one bite and brought the manager over. He explained that the cut is naturally mostly fat, which I understand, but the texture just wasn't quite right because it should be tender not tough. I declined a replacement dish, and he kindly credited it on our bill, though the interaction felt a little awkward. My husband's salmon unfortunately had a very heavy mustard flavor. The spinach farrotto underneath was quite salty. Since there isn't a kids menu which is fine, my daughter ordered the burger plain, but it wasn't really a hit for her. My coconut guava Paloma was okay definitely the best part of my meal though it tasted a little artificial. The ambiance has a lot of potential, and they had live music playing. However, it was a bit too loud for the space, forcing guests to raise their voices just to speak to each other. We also noticed our table hadn't been wiped down thoroughly before we sat down. The absolute silver lining of our evening was our waitress. She was incredibly sweet, highly attentive, and took great care of us. She is truly the reason I am giving 3 stars. She mentioned that they offer a completely different menu for brunch. Because the setting is so pretty and the service was so good, we might give them another chance for brunch down the road, but we likely wouldn't return for dinner. Proof that lighting and plating can hide a lot! Captured these beautiful views last night, even though the dinner itself was a bit of a letdown.

The shrimp wrap, however, was disappointing. It had very little shrimp and seemed to rely heavily on overcooked bacon and an abundance of lettuce, which made it tough to chew and left it lacking balance. The menu offers unique flavors and creative combinations, but in this dish, there seemed to be more emphasis on presentation and concept than substance.

Seaboy absolutely delivered. From the outside, the building is understated and looks more like it belongs near the beach at Oak Island. Once you step inside, however, it is clean, classy, well-appointed, and charmingly coastal without being overly themed or tacky. It feels like the premium restaurant it is. We didn't make reservations because we arrived at 4:30 on a Friday and never expected the place to be completely slammed that early. Jackie, the hostess, took our name and phone number and promised to call as soon as something opened at the bar. Since there wasn't much room to wait inside, she encouraged us to relax in our car. Sure enough, about 15 minutes later, she called and made sure we got the first two available seats. Samantha, the bartender, was both an excellent server and a talented mixologist. She was friendly, welcoming, and attentive, somehow keeping up with all the drinks for the dining room without allowing anyone at the bar to feel ignored. I told her I wasn't much of a drinker but gave her the name of a liquor I enjoy. She created her own cocktail for me, and it was a solid 10 out of 10. Could I walk in and order that exact drink again? Probably not. Would I trust her to surprise me again in a heartbeat? Absolutely. My wife started with a shrimp appetizer that she said may have been the best shrimp she has ever eaten. I had the Caesar salad, which was the only part of the meal that was merely okay. It was beautifully presented, generously portioned, properly dressed, and topped with excellent cheese. Unfortunately, the dressing lacked the bold, savory punch I expect from a great Caesar. Our entrées, however, were phenomenal. I ordered the swordfish, and it was so good that my wife essentially took it over because she liked it even more than the seafood pasta special she had ordered. Fortunately, her rich, cheesy seafood creation was outstanding, so I was perfectly happy with the trade. I polished off her meal, then finished whatever swordfish she left behind! We ended with the deconstructed Key lime pie. It was flavorful and enjoyable, although, like the Caesar, I felt it could have used just a little more refinement. At one point, the chef and owner came out to the bar, shook our hands, introduced himself, and thanked us for coming. He stayed for a little friendly conversation, which was a genuinely nice and personal touch. Those minor critiques aside, the service, food quality, atmosphere, and hospitality were all excellent. Seaboy has immediately become one of our favorite choices for a premium meal, and the overall experience was absolutely five out of five. We will definitely be back soon. To those about to nosh, we salute you!

First, Speckled Pear has removed the community seating and the prepared food, bakery and produce counters from my earlier visits and replaced them with true "restaurant" tables. The focus is now squarely on dining, with lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch service. And oh, there's still a wine bar and bottles are still available for purchase. In my humble view a significant positive step. Our servers were excellent, including helpfully explaining some of the wine options (my wife and sister-in-law ordered a flight). Still a fairly casual environment. Great acoustics- I hate echo chambers. We were informed later by our excellent server, Ashlee that there is also seating upstairs! We forgot to take a tour! The decor is very chic, but not overly done. We were seated at a table, but booths are available as well. Even the women's restroom with chic. It needed to be picked up a bit but was nice. Our server Ashlee was excellent! Her upbeat personality and friendliness was in the 10 rating! For only being at the restaurant a couple of weeks I think her vibes will keep bringing customers back.
