The tasting experience is unlike most others in Napa; they only host one group at a time, which makes it feel intimate and personal. We started with two whites -- one still and one bubbly -- and then got a full walk-through of the facility. Demi shared so much insight into their process, and we actually learned a ton about winemaking. The reds were incredible, and he made the tasting super fun while helping us understand how each varietal differs. We ended up becoming members because of how well-crafted their wines are and how much care goes into their production. All of their vineyards are fully certified organic, so you know exactly what's going into every bottle. It's a beautiful property tucked away from the busier parts of downtown Napa -- peaceful, scenic, and absolutely worth the visit. I couldn't recommend Neil Family Winery more highly!

Grapes are sourced from Marcey's Vineyard in Calistoga and with skilled hands they make some of the best Cabernet Sauvignon I have tasted. And, I have tasted several hundred cabs over the years. Stellareese wines are priced as not to deter the average wine drinker from purchasing. The cabs however drink like a higher priced luxury label and I would score them in the high 90's. Sales are done online but they have partnered with The Parlor in Napa for private sit down tastings. As a self proclaimed oenophilia I highly recommend Stellareese wine. Woohoo! As good as it gets!

While visiting Fort Worth, my friends and I had the opportunity to try Cade wine at dinner, and it was exceptional. It was so smooth and beautifully balanced that I made a point of visiting the winery while I was working in Napa so I could purchase a case to share with friends at an upcoming celebration. The winery itself is absolutely beautiful, perched on a hillside with stunning views. Unfortunately, the customer service did not match the quality of the wine. When I arrived, I followed the sign instructing guests to wait to be seated. I stood there for about ten minutes while an employee made eye contact with me multiple times and walked past without acknowledging me or even offering a simple "I'll be right with you." Eventually, I walked inside and was greeted with, "Are you here to buy some wine?" The interaction felt dismissive from the start. I explained that I wanted to purchase either six or twelve bottles of Cade. Before I had even decided, I was immediately quoted pricing in a way that made me feel as though it was being assumed I couldn't afford the wine. When I responded that I would take a full case, the tone of the conversation changed completely. Suddenly I was warmly invited to stay for a tasting. I left with the wine because I truly love it, but I also left feeling judged based on my appearance. I had stopped in while working and was wearing jeans, a work polo, tennis shoes, and driving an older work vehicle. Whether intentional or not, the experience made me feel that I wasn't considered the "right" customer until it became clear I was making a significant purchase. Cade produces an outstanding wine, and I sincerely hope every guest is greeted with the same warmth and respect--regardless of how they're dressed or what they're driving. Great hospitality should begin the moment someone walks through the door, not after they've opened their wallet.

Her dedication and passion are so apparent. The gentle spirit and kindness she exudes puts you at ease, and then she'll blind you with her wisdom and artistry. And, what gorgeous wines. The tastings are superior, well finished and the varietals presented are worthy of a taste and buying. The Merlot Rose and the Merlot were what I bought and am looking forward to returning. First, we had to "climb" the mountain to get to its secluded location. Then you're in for a surprise when you walk in. It's like walking into a cave. We visited on a super foggy day. The silence was almost deafening. Coupled with the fog, I seriously felt like we were in the middle of peace and serenity. Jake did an amazing job of showing us around and the Bravante way of wine making. We loved his warm energy. The wines here were amazing. We have done way too many tours on this trip and had stop purchasing wines at the last few tastings but we had to have some Bravante wine shipped home. Not to mention, Bravante is owned by two women! I was pretty shy in my younger years but enjoyed the campfires, singing, playing baseball (except for the rattlesnakes!). I do remember Orville Burnside at the campfires.
