Small box of seven truffles. Perfect gift size!

- [ ] OMG! A chocoholics paradise! Just walking into a room redolent of chocolate is enough to push my sweet tooth into overdrive! The owner and chocolatier are warm, friendly and knowledgable and their store is a very welcoming space. There are tasting samples and a wonderful assortment of chocolate delights. We purchased; Berry Pomegranate and Chipotle Morita bars, two kinds of sugar free chocolates and five small boxes of seven chocolates as gifts for workshop helpers. Score! The chocolate itself is of an extremely high quality and is absolutely delicious. My favs so far: Wild Strawberry & French Mocha. Yum! Wine Country Chocolates is located in a beautiful part of Sonoma County and a pleasant drive from Hwy 101. We will definitely be back!

The chocolate covered figs are outstanding! So unique and a wonderful treat.

This little spot in Glen Ellen makes the best chocolate ever. Today I and a friend drove up to Glen Ellen and I stopped off at Jack London Village were the shop is. This is the shop were the chocolates and other delicious treats are made. Today I had the chocolate covered figs. Oh, what a delicious combination. So used to fig cookies, such as fig Newtons, but to have fig and fine chocolate, very unique. The surroundings and the drive to beautiful and quaint Glen Ellen ad to the experience. I recommend it to all chocolate fans.

They def knew their menu. Immediately brought water with cucumber and lemon, very refreshing. I ordered the bread with butter to start, it was excellent. That butter just melts on every bite, taking the bread to the next level. Staff recommended the Rachel pastrami. It did not disappoint. It was very simple. However the combination of the thousand Island, sauerkraut, the pastrami and buttered bread just made it so delicious. It was decently meat packed too. The sandwich came with fries which I inhaled the ketchup that they brought me extra. It also came with two types of coleslaw both were delish. They were not overwhelming with dressing. The yellow one was interesting bc I thought it was turmeric but it was slightly sweet. Delish as well. Also ordered their Italian prosecco. I'm into red wine but for some reason perhaps the environment I felt the prosecco would work and it did! It was bubbly refreshing, tasty, and not dry. Their restroom was big and clean. This is in the Jack London Village. They have parking on both ends. The village has other restaurants and wine tasting as well.

We ordered appetizer-4 slices fratolla bread with evoo, garlic, parsley and butter $10. This is actually very with fresh warm bread and great ingredients. Clam chowder $18. This is one of the best clam chowder we had. It is so creamy but the clam was lacking compared to others. Favor was perfect. They were so considerate that they separated the soup into 2 smaller bowls so we each can have our own. The Wagyu steak burger is good and cooked perfectly pink for medium. The Rachel pastrami sandwich was just average due to the quality and portions of the meat. It is not bad but we were expecting it to be better. Value is average for the quality and portion.

Truly enjoyed the VIP Tour & Tasting for our group of 12. Jill Benzinger was our tour guide and she…read morewas able to share lots of interesting details of the family's/winery's history. (And she was really nice.) The tour itself included the tour of the gorgeous property including vines, ponds, cows and production facilities. You could really tell how much TLC they put into the property. The tasting was in the wine cave and included food pairings and while they claimed not to be true pairings, they were pretty awesome. And they were able to accommodate multiple food allergies/dietary restrictions. Definitely worth it! Thank you Farideh for helping me plan this wonderful event. While I didn't take an official poll, the consensus seemed to be that this was everyone's favorite visit during our Sonoma weekend.

We spent a lovely few hours at Benziger Family Winery in Glen Ellen on a recent Sonoma trip…read more Although they were busy, we appreciated being able to walk in without a reservation and still enjoy tastings at the main bar. Our server, Patrick, was personable, knowledgeable, and truly went above and beyond. He gave us a great understanding of the history of the family winery as well as the nuances of the various wines. He never made us feel rushed, and we enjoyed sitting outside, taking in the beautiful views--and watching the tractor tours pass by--while we tasted. Patrick even shared side-by-side trios of Chardonnays and Cabernet Sauvignons to highlight differences in winemaking methods, vineyard sites, and soils, which made for a particularly interesting and educational tasting experience. In fact, it was every bit as informative and enjoyable as other tasting experiences we've had that were far more expensive, more formal, and required advance reservations.    The tasting room also features a wonderful selection of gifts and specialty items. By the end of our visit, we left with three bottles of wine (2025 Frank Johnson Sauv Blanc and two 2022 Three Blocks Cab Sauvs) along with several gifts and mementos. Benziger has a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere and is both kid and pet-friendly. We also stopped by their sister winery, Imagery, afterward and found it to be another Sonoma gem. We wouldn't hesitate to return to either.
