This place is adorable! I literally wanted to buy everything! We ended up buying our kids the to go pizzas from La Morra Pizzeria and of course some beautiful orange wines. Saw our wine distributor at this location so I know they sell good wines! Next time we are in the area, we are definitely coming back!

One of those places that poses the question - What does Vons/Ralphs/Trader Joes/Gelsons/Whole Foods not carry and is within walking minutes of my neighborhood? Lots of vegan, specialty, baking supplies, ready-to-eat, ready-to-bake, that sounds interesting, they make chips out of those? kinds of goods. All these wines, and ales, and other drinkable things and most of them are from so small wineries, brewers and suppliers you wouldn't find them at the nearby 55 Degree, or even Silverlake liquors. Those ready-to-bake pizzas are excellent, with a home-starter sourdough and top-shelf cheeses and toppings. Tons of locally-sourced things worth exploring. During COVID, 3 max. inside (and it's the small space across from Boba Loca) and mask up. Otherwise, have fun - and enjoy local and small at its best!

Wine and Eggs is a very cute shop with a stunning yet cozy interior. Great colors! I really enjoyed the wine that was recommended by the sweet person I spoke with earlier today. They had cute hair clips and were super helpful since I really don't know much about wine/grew up drinking it out of a box. The store has a nice vibe and i look forward to trying some of their groceries soon. The fruit looked good! The friendly vibe & offerings kind of reminds me of a v fancy NYC bodega? I like it! Could see myself stopping here with my kids after a Ms. Molly class at A Place to Create this fall.

A great specialty shop in the heart of Atwater, complete with a mix of fresh produce, baked goods, olive oil and hot sauces, natural wine, spritzers and other aperitifs, and non-alcoholic beverages. I'm literally obsessed with the minimal, funky interior and their collection of trendy products. The staff are knowledgeable and can help you pick out the perfect wine or beverage for any occasion. The wines are all generally priced fairly for a specialty shop. I love pet nats and they carry an entire shelf of them from all over the world! I'm based in Glendale so it's easy enough to get to via car (lots of street parking nearby or on the adjacent streets). I've also taken the 92 bus to get here. Highly recommend if you want to try something new and fresh.

This amazing little local market opened yesterday, and I've been so excited watching them get ready every day as I walk by with my pup. I am so happy to have a little neighborhood spot where I can run to go grab an onion for my soup, a bottle of wine or ice cream for (another) night in, or a cute curated gift like a cutting board or special jar of jam. They're strictly adhering to covid policies (shouldn't everyone be doing this now?!), and no more than three customers inside at a time. Its a small space so I'm relieved it's three at a time. (It used to be the Art Room before). Some of the pricing still isn't up, and I hear the produce (all organic, yay!) will be priced by the pound. It will likely be more than a grocery store, but who wants to drive to a grocery store when I walk around the block to grab some onions or potatoes? Mind you, it won't be able to replace your weekly or monthly "big shopping" but it will do just fine in between. Can't wait to go back today and spend a little more time perusing (there were eager customers waiting outside so I didn't want to be THAT girl taking a hundred pics. )

    Wine + Eggs haul!!!

Pros: Maximum capacity: 3 people (feels safer this way during Covid times), clean, organized marketplace with natural wines, non alcoholic beverages, imported snacks, a small selection of produce (garlic, squash, potatoes) if you need a couple emergency items in a pinch! Cons: Maximum capacity: 3 people (if you don't like waiting, it can take a while), prices are on the higher end. My first visit to Wine + Eggs was a positive one. Got in line around 9:15am and waited about 15 min to enter as they only allow 3 people inside in the store. It's a small community market with specialty snacks, cheese, eggs, wine/beverages, and some home goods. The employees were kind and friendly and the market was well put together. They are now offering Sanditas Organic Rainbow dumplings in their freezer section which is great because I no longer have to order them online and pay a delivery fee, yay! The prices were a bit high but I did appreciate the well curated items in the store. It was enjoyable to see all the trendy snacks and condiments all in one place! Would love to come back next time I'm due for a splurge!!!

Funky little shop that has a cool selection of natural wine, lots of funky labels and brands that you aren't in some of the bigger wine shops like total wine or bevmo.

It's not surprising given the neighborhood and decor, but I think they lean towards more Japanese spirits and beers. For someone like me who's never been to Japan I feel like there's a traditional Japanese theme going on inside with lots of wood. A few friends and I came here on a holiday before dinner. Happy hour specials were still going on. I'm not sure if they thought they were gonna get that much business on a holiday but I think there's only maybe one or two people behind the bar. Since it was early when we got there, it was still not that crowded. I got the special which was a shot of Japanese whisky and a beer. Great price! Haha. I've walked by before where this place is really crowded so I assume there's a lot more people working behind the bar during the regular busy hours. Just a great place to grab drink drinks.

No exceptions, as I witnessed a family who really wanted to come in but had an 18 yr old so they weren't allowed in and because they had a minor with them they couldn't even sit outside in their seating area. Always good to know. Inside the bar got super busy. The inside was a bit dark but again it is a bar. I like the decor and the bar seating was packed. The drinks were good if you like whiskey they have it along with lists of beer options. Nice spot to try out.

The place has a really cool, laid-back vibe spacious, industrial style, and super inviting. It got busy, but the staff handled it well and were friendly the whole time. I don't drink, but my friends all grabbed beers and kept saying how good they were (they're definitely known for their craft beers). Everyone was happy, which says a lot! I just enjoyed the atmosphere and the energy of the crowd. There's plenty of seating, clean bathrooms (always important), and even a separate room with a stage, so it looks like they host live music and events too. Big plus: it feels like a great spot to hang out after a run or meet up with friends. I've also heard they often have food trucks, which makes it even better. Overall, great vibes, good service, and a fun place to unwind. Would definitely come back with the group!

Great Vibes, Games, Karaoke & Churros -- We'll Be Back…read more Came to check out Boomtown Brewery with my boyfriend and had such an awesome time. Even on a soggy, rainy day, this place delivered great vibes. We arrived a bit early and got to explore both rooms, which was a fun experience in itself. The first room had karaoke, long tables and benches, cozy sofas, dart machines, a photo booth, games, and restrooms. It's also very pet-friendly--as long as your dog is leashed. They even have water bowls for pets, which we loved. The second room to the right has board games, two pool tables, high tops, more seating, sofas, and the main bar. The whole space has a rustic, industrial feel with lots of cool hanging plants, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Everyone was friendly and kind. There was a food truck on site, and we also got lucky with a mobile churro vendor called Hippie Churro--we ordered two churros (one strawberry-filled and one plain), and they were delicious. $7 well spent. We enjoyed a michelada and an IPA, played Jenga, listened to music, and caught some karaoke performances. Overall, an amazing night with great energy and a solid setup for hanging out, playing games, and just enjoying the moment. We'll definitely be back soon.

Naturally, we followed the music... and wow, what a vibe! This place is such a vibe-y outdoor hangout spot. Super cute, super chill. The first thing you see? A full bar built into a refurbished 1954 Spartan Trailercoach and yes, it's as cool as it sounds, serving beer and craft cocktails. The music was bumpin', the energy was up, but it still had this cozy, intimate feel. Perfect combo. My boyfriend and I both got the Paloma and we snagged a spot in the back to catch the DJ doing his thing. Our table was a little wobbly and my cocktail tipped! Such a bummer but the bartender didn't miss a beat. She sent someone to clean it up immediately and replaced my drink with a fresh one. Didn't catch her name but shoutout to her for the amazing service! There was a big group nearby just vibing, laughing, and living their best life.
