Terrible customer relations. They have no act to get together.The people who work in the field and do new installs or upgrades actually have know idea what their company has available to work with when they show up to your door. I was notified over 6 weeks ago that Windstream was installing their Kinetic internet in our neighborhood. I signed up and was scheduled for installation. The tech showed up and told me the equipment was not ready. After 3 more schedules, taking a day off each time (over 4 weeks) and text confirmations to my phone, the equipment is still not ready. I've lived a lot of places (Dallas, Chicago, Sacramento, Albuquerque) and had many internet service providers (Comcast, AT&T, Cox) I have NEVER had worse service than I have with Windstream. My internet has been down for 3 days and all they can tell me is I have a ticket. We are not numbers, we are people who pay a premium for your service! I pay for their highest grade Internet and I'm out of commission. Isn't it 2015? Internet should be as reliable as your utility service, right??! I know it's a first world problem, but they charge us a first world rate. Stay away people, they're not worth the struggle. read more

I have Windstream at home because it's the only internet offered in our area. I have Windstream at my business because it and Cox are the only options in that area and Cox no-showed when I tried to have internet installed, so Windstream became the lesser of two evils. Our home internet quits working on a regular basis. When I get frustrated enough to spend the amount of time it takes to call in, try the do-it-yourself fixes and eventually stay home while someone comes to look at it, a technician does come and "fix" it but eventually, it starts going out again. Recently, when my bill got lost in the shuffle and I paid late after service suspension, Windstream double charged the reconnection fee. I called once and the billing person I spoke with said their system was down and he couldn't look at the bill at that time, but would call me back later that day. He never did. I called again and told someone what had happened. They did tell me I was indeed overcharged and they would credit the overcharged amount on my next bill, but gave no explanation or apology for 1)why I was overcharged or 2) why the original person I spoke with never bothered to call me back as promised. I called later to ask for a credit for 5 days of both phone/fax and internet outage at my business, which made it very difficult to operate. I asked to speak with a supervisor so I could be sure something got done and because I also wanted to advise them of the terrible customer service I'd received in the recent past. I was told I must state my issue and the customer service rep would have to email a supervisor and then the supervisor would call me. I stated my issue, gave my # and was told a supervisor would be emailed. I've never heard from anyone since. This is the kind of service you get with Windstream. read more

They could only get the phone done that day for whatever reason so I had to go back the next day to do my watch. The watch was a nightmare, they couldn't get it to connect to my account for nearly a week. And the store did absolutely nothing about it, I had to do it myself by working with the people at the ATT 800 number. Plus, a few times the 800 number people would tell me something would have to be done at the physical store, but when I went in these people never had a clue what to do. Also, it's been nearly 6 months and they are still charging me for my iPhone upgrade that was supposed to be free with my trade. This store and it's manger (Amy) have been no help at all. After many hours on the phone over the months with the ATT 800 number, on August 18 I finally found out the store clerk made an error on the original paperwork and still now, after nearly 6 months, and knowing this, the store has pretty much washed their hands of me. This is no small mistake either, it's over $1,200. Also, I have my elderly parent's phones on my account. They both need to upgrade their phones too but I'm not doing it here, and not at all with ATT if they can't fix mine. I really hate to leave ATT as a 30 year customer. It's pretty bad when the customer is more loyal to the company than the company is to the customer.

He even sent his associate to a neighboring town to get a part. He just wouldn't give up! What seemed to start as a good choice in moving our family member's household items in order to…read morehelp with facility care costs quickly degraded. When our items were picked up we saw the furniture handled with great care. I did have a concern because reading the itemized receipt of items taken revealed that not all our items were listed. I immediately called to clear this up and was assured that when the truck arrived back a full inventory would be made as it was unloaded. This was in September 2023. Thru a series of emails requesting info on the sale of our items, I was informed of delays due to numerous reasons: illness, a "rushed medical" auction, a family death. All these were relayed as reasons why our things were not fully processed. I did follow Southside's Facebook page and did see the majority of our items pictured in the auction offerings for a few weeks after our things were taken. I went to pick up a check in October I think, but saw a lamp of ours still on the display floor and was told that some items were not sold yet but auctions would continue until all our items cleared. I did continue to send emails asking about 6-7 specific items remaining. I was asked for my phone number so either David or Dan could call me. I sent my phone number, but never received a call. Finally, in December I learned we had our last check ready and went to pick it up. As it was being handed to me I asked about the few items still unaccounted for. BIG MISTAKE! What followed were loud, with expletives, accusations about me. Apparently I was obnoxious with queries about our goods, a troublemaker and a bully. I am a 5 ft tall woman and this barrage towards me came from a man nearly the size of a mountain. I was shocked to say the very least. I was yelled at for thinking they can keep an account of every item that they auction. I was told one specific item I asked about "sold for $10 and was worth nothing and meant nothing". I replied that when the family member is trying to pay for nursing home care every dollar helps. I was told many of our items were gathered and sold in a "lot" of items and told I was ridiculous to expect they could account for every item "sold in a lot". (When our items were picked up it was mentioned that some framed art would likely be sold "in a lot"...but never did he say we would not receive the money from those items.) As the yelling from the mountain man continued he finally swore at me and said he was done with me and called over the "owner" to "handle" me. This man came asking about the ruckus and I was introduced as "the biggest troublemaker". I still said my own name and thanked him for coming over and calmly said we were just trying to pick up our current check and find out when the rest of our things might be completed. I mentioned the lamp I had seen still on the floor when getting our first check, to which the mountain man again exploding about "how many lamps they auction and what made me think that was mine?!" Then, I mentioned a very distinctive antique desk which mountain man denied but the second man said , "oh is that yours?" Yes. He said someone tried to lowball them on it but he refused to sell it so low. I said, every dollar helps our family member and was told it would be sold soon. I left with the check picked up that day. I've never heard back from Southside again about the desk or any other items. My advice if you use Southside to sell your items is to not get caught up in the flurry of activity where he walks thru choosing what he will take to auction, without making your own list of ALL your items. And, do take pics of all your items. I sent the list of missing items, I sent pictures. My BEST advice however is to choose a different company. I've heard for decades about the great bargains for buyers attending their auctions. But, from our vantage point they dropped a huge ball on their follow-through on the consignors end of the auction experience.

I have always been satisfied with the quality and price of purchased items. Everyone working there has always been honest, knowledgeable and respectful, and at times the auctioneer has been downright hilarious. Attending auctions is not for everyone. You must pay attention as items are being sold and understand a bit of the terminology used.
