I ordered the steak to be medium rare but it came medium to even parts of the steak was well done and Very dry. The steak lacked flavour I had to add more salt. The garlic bread wasn't very flavourful too so over all the steak sandwich was a disappointment I couldn't finish it but didn't ask them to make me a new one because it already took more than half hour for our food to come out. I give this place 3 stars because their crispy onion rings that came with the steak sandwich were delicious and extra crispy one of the best onion rings I've had. Their Caesar salad was also great perfectly dressed with a flavourful Caesar dressing and shaved parm. I was very impressed with their crispy onion rings and their Caesar salad so I was happy I was still full. My husband ordered the Philly cheese steak with an Au jus dip - it was 8/10 the dip definitely made it better! I would still give his place a second try to try their charcuterie platter and maybe some other items on their menu. But would not order their steak sandwich ever again.

Here's what we ordered: Mango boba - surprisingly tart and could've used a bit of sweetness Peanut chicken salad - flavorful and refreshing, with noodles at the bottom Fish tacos with sweet potato fries - the beer-battered fish was crispy and delicious While the food was solid and the patio atmosphere was great, the service really impacted our experience. When we were ready to pay, it was difficult to get our server's attention. My husband eventually had to approach her across the patio, and she processed our payment while standing right there. It seemed like they were short-staffed the day we visited, which might explain the delays, but the lack of attention was still frustrating. Overall, good food and a nice setting, but I'd give it 3.5 stars due to the service issues

I did a comparison of earls and cactus club to compare food quality, service and ambiance in Calgary North west as several establishments are within 5 minutes drive of one another and a Joeys next door to this Earls Took awhile for my server to attend and it was not very busy I ordered the same dish (Steak frites) at each establishment and here is my feedback taking into consideration variances in cuts of meat as I'm going to assume the suppliers may be the same I prefer Cactus Club as although it is more expensive at $34 vs the $28 here at Earls noting that the Cactus club version is 7 oz vs the 6 oz are Earls. I like the greens at CC better than the Earls kale mix. Fries were freshly made at both but CC beat out Earls on this front as well. So my take is this I love Earls as the gold standard for best Happy Hour meals for this category but this location seems lacking Case in point i asked my server if I may order the Wings but rather than Hot, I asked if they still did Salt and Pepper. I was told yes they offered it I got them but they were very poorly seasoned and lacked flavour. Not the case at other Earls As a regular at top tier Earls such as Vancouvers Yaletown and Burnabys Metrotown and Amazing Brentwood, this location needs an management review as they have fallen behind on the other "family" standards This review was done on a Wed night at 6ish non happy hour and it was only moderately busy whereas CC was jam packed last night at same time which echoes my sentiment that CC is much better and more popular than Earls in the NW All 3 facilities are "related" but I would go to CC given the proximity for quality of food, service and ambiance

I usually go to Earls, which is an amazing place on Stephen Avenue with great hospitality and amazing food selections. I walked into the national and they requested an outside seat because it was a beautiful day. The female staff member identified my canine as a female and asked what was her name. I stated Yep he is a male and his name is Goliath.. From that point on, I was treated with severe aggression and hostility by the staff members The waitress that approached my table was hostile in nature and when I explained to her that I wanted a regular Caesar if they made one, I would love one she was offended. I explained that a lot of places have a house style Caesar and I was looking for a normal style Caesar, and if they provided it complete aggression and attitude in her tone and how she addressed me. she then performs the worst duty of all, which is falsifying a report to a police officer. She had her superiors, called the police and stated that I threatened her with my service dog. There is no action on this of me, threatening her. There is no threat to her there is no hostility, and I recorded the whole thing with my glasses . Big shout out to Ray and Maia, with these glasses, I was able to prove my case and clearly clarify any questions at the Police we're having in regards to the accusation. Seven police officers showed up at my table after I had enjoyed a Caesar and was joyfully offered another by the mail manager. The table beside me was having a great conversation with me. They were a family from the US who were coming to Canada, and I was explaining to them the wonderful things I could see such as the Calgary stampede that was coming up. I explained and showed off of metal. My dog was given by a paramedic for the great service that he provides, and we were having a wonderful conversation before the police showed up. I own a service animal training company and promote my business through word-of-mouth . ! This was sheer defamation of character, belligerent, and lies, false accusations, and the worst service I have ever received in any of the establishments I've visited in the city If you are choosing a place to go to, I recommend you avoid the cra and abrasive nature of this one
