Management = slum lord. Management needs classes on how to manage. There are continuous mistakes…read moreand they can't even own up to them or apologize to people. If you want to live somewhere that replaces everything with damaged/used parts(literally everything) or uses caulk to patch up everything, then this is your spot. Maintenance cannot complete all work orders. Vendors are sometimes needed. Let's hope the mold isn't why we have been sick so often recently.

I lived here for 2 years & loved it! Things you should know:…read moreI. PARKING Their garage is resident exclusive, but the upper parking deck is available for residents AND guests. This feature is a big deal for a luxury apartment complex, considering guest parking at most other locations is extremely limited and inconvenient. II. LOCATION You're close to 285, so travel is convenient. Walmart is across the street (literally walkable). Costco, Publix, and Kroger are up the road as alternatives. You could walk to the Marta (so airport travel is convenient) and you could also walk to downtown Chamblee. This location is literally a jackpot ~ you couldn't find better. You're also by all the outstanding food culture on Buford Highway. Not to mention, left of Walmart is the "Chamblee Trail" you could utilize for walks and runs daily. III. SERVICE Maintenance is always timely and considerate about entry. The administrative team is informative and helpful via email and in person. The website for payments and maintenance calls is easy to navigate as well. Can I also mention how DOG FRIENDLY this place is? IV. QUALITY Very affordable for the luxury boho, anthropology design of the complex. You won't be disappointed in the amenities and esthetic of all the shared spaces. One issue I did encounter each summer, no matter how cleanly and spotless my space was.. was cockroaches. This means it's likely a widespread issue throughout the complex, spreading to neighboring rooms and not sourced from my area. To be transparent, it's a summer-long persistent battle, no matter what floor you're on or no matter how many times you call maintenance to call pest control. The only thing that stopped the cockroach raids was winter and cold weather. V. CAPACITY This complex is pretty high demand, not going to lie, so shoot your shot and get an apartment while you can..!

We are very excited to find Cortland North Brookhaven! Immediately upon meeting the front staff, I knew that this was the place to be. They've always been very respectful, courteous, and I ever had an issue with a maintenance issue,,they were fixing it ASAP! I really enjoyed the apartment as well, it was nicely laid out, newly renovated, and has been one of the best apartments I've ever lived in in my 52 years. They obviously take pride in what they do there. I also loved the location! So much walk ability to parks, Whole Foods, and Chamblee Greenway beltline. Not only that we got to know a bunch of the neighbors and realized that they felt the same way about this place. We have now since bought a new place since that was the plan the whole time, but we're sorry to leave the Cortland North Brookhaven. If I ever have to rent an apartment again for any reason this will be the first place I look without hesitation, and if they can't fit me in here I'm sure I would look for any Other cortland properties. Just top notch and so far ahead of their competition in the city, they rent you a home not just an apartment. Thank you again to the team at Cortland North Brookhaven!

I have had over $1000 of stuff stolen and they never seem to be able to do anything about it. They work with parcel pending lockers but don't even put a locker in the mail room to catch thieves. The lockers are always busted. Some don't even lock and they never get fixed. They NEED CAMERAS IN THE MAILROOM. Roaches everywhere also. At night when you walk around you see them running around in the stairwells. The pool area is also FULL of roaches so if you go use the firepit or grill area you will definitely see a bunch. Walls/ floors super thin also. You can hear all of your neighbors from every direction.

A Painful and Traumatizing Experience as a Black Woman…read more I have never felt so humiliated, dehumanized, and unsafe in a place I've frequented for weeks. As a Black woman, I am no stranger to discomfort in predominantly white spaces, but this experience was beyond anything I could have imagined. My friend recently moved to Atlanta and now lives in this building. I visit often, usually grabbing breakfast at the café nearby before heading over to wait for him after his shift. This time, I needed to use the restroom. Like any other human, I took my time--handling my personal needs and cleaning up after myself. I never could have predicted what would happen next. Out of nowhere, I heard the click of a key unlocking the door, followed by an aggressive bang--a terrifying knock that sent my heart racing. When I opened the door, I was met with a police officer and two other individuals staring me down. The officer immediately demanded my ID and asked if I lived there. His presence alone was jarring. I told him no, explaining that I was waiting for my friend to get off work--in just 10 minutes. But that wasn't enough. Fearful of what would happen next, I called my friend on the phone, my hands shaking. That's when a short white man with a bald head, a tattoo on his arm, and casual shorts stepped forward. He was just a resident--not security, not staff--yet he had the audacity to treat me like an intruder. He interrogated me, aggressively demanding to know who I was, who I knew, and why I was in the restroom for so long. He spoke to me as if I was a criminal, as if my existence in that building was a problem that needed to be handled. Then came a short woman in an all-blue suit with long curly hair--equally aggressive, equally invasive. They both threw accusations and questions at me like I was on trial. It didn't matter that I'd been there countless times before. It didn't matter that I was simply waiting for my friend, minding my own business. My presence--my Blackness--was enough to make them uncomfortable. At this point, the situation had escalated to something deeply disturbing. I was cornered, harassed, and treated like I was nothing. I told them I would just leave, because what else could I do? I have never been in trouble with the law, never caused an issue, never disrespected anyone. Yet I was treated like a trespasser, like a homeless person loitering on the street, like a threat that needed to be removed. I have never been so degraded, so violated, so painfully aware that my presence was unwelcome. I own a three-story townhouse, yet in that moment, they made me feel like I had no right to be anywhere near that building. They saw my Blackness and assumed the worst. This wasn't just an inconvenience. It was racism. It was discrimination. It was an attack. My friend will not be renewing his lease. I will never step foot in that place again. And I will never forget how small, how powerless, how deeply disrespected I felt in that moment.

Latisse is amazing but rest of staff could make this a better place to live. A couple of objective reasons: -Appliances are cheap: The refrigerator is very small and can barely hold enough groceries for two people, the washer and dryer are extremely loud, and you can't have two showers running at the same time longer than 10 mins (maintenance confirmed) -Management is not the most responsive and can be rude at times -The gym is poorly taken care of: there are literally holes in the wall from people stacking weights against it -No oversight of dog owners: there's booby traps of dog poo littered around the property because they never enforce cleaning up after your dog -They force you to use an inconvenient delivery service (Fetch) for $18/month which will occasionally open up your packages and always causes delays because Amazon has to ship packages to their separate location to then have people deliver it later -They force you to also use trash valet for $30, which comes inconsistently at times.

So I'm SUPER EXCITED‼‼‼ But let's start from the beginning I went on at minimum 8 tours this day, before getting to the SLX, and when I tell you BEFORE COMING TO THE SLX I had the worst experiences in my life, with customer service greetings and just over all them acting as if they didnt care if I moved into their community or not, I'm telling you THEY DIDNT CARE THAT WAS UNTIL I CAME HERE AND MET MIASIA, She literally made up for all the horrible tours I went on the horrible customer service I received the way I was treated she made up for all of that in the first 3 minutes Her customer service her communication the way she greeted me was even better, she changed my day and made my evening. as upscale and luxurious as these apartments are she made me feel at home. So welcoming so sweet so informative and patient with me, took me to every unit i wanted to see then took me back to the units again because I wanted to compare them to the other ones I just saw, then once again because I forgot I needed to take video, !!!!!!and did it with a smile!!!!! She's walking me through giving me information, answering questions and also giving me some space to just take it in. While trying to apply for the apartment, things were going wrong on the computer so She told me to come into her office so she could help me fill out the application (amazing) we did it together, this is my first time living on my own and she helped me out so much. anytime I called, she answered, if she wasn't available she called back immediately.. if I emailed she responded immediately. Also, my mom is super over protective and not only did she deal with me calling and emailing 2/3 times a day she also dealt with my mother doing the same and never complained one time never made me feel like i was bothering her, not once. I've only been in Atlanta less than a month and she's actually made my experience!!! While also changing my opinion of Atlanta nothing short of AMAZING.. Unfortunately, I didn't get my dream apartment, but when she found out I wasn't going to get my apartment. The communication, never stopped!!answering her phone, never stopped!! Emailing me back immediately, Never stopped!!!!! And although I didn't get in I just felt like someone needed to know this if you're thinking about renting here please ask for MIASIA, she's going to give you first class delta one service (hahaha) She's also keeping in contact with me while I build up rental history and time on my job.. So I'll see you guys in 12 months lol MIASIA MIASIA MIASIA MIASIA MIASIA MIASIA ASK FOR HER!! She's going to work with you reply immediately always answer the phone, you'll never have to double email or triple call while helping you throughout the whole process. She even takes her computer home and responds off the clock AMZIMG AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE and an even better human!!

More, she was unwilling to accept responsibility for a system that prevented me from completing a thorough tour; despite copying my identification card. I had to probe for answers to questions that should have been selling points. I was rushed and I found the attitude of the agent to be bordering on disinterested and rude. I asked for her name and her delayed response was Shanae. She did invite me to come back when my phone was able to work with their system. Note, my phone was not the problem. If I had to guess, someone didn't want to be at work today and my appointment was somehow an inconvenience. Oh well, maybe another agent will appreciate my interest in their community today. We were ready to go back to another one that we didn't really like but were just tired of searching. I must clarify that the search was for my very picky mom. Upon entering at Camden Creekstone for some reason I felt we had found the one. Alejandra welcomed us with a warm and yet professional personality and made sure she matched us with what we were looking for. They had the top floor, 2x2 close to highways phewww. Well, she assured us we were going to like the apartment they had available with our search criteria. Sure enough, upon entering the apt we loved loved it. Bright, fresh, clean and a nice layout. Did I mention washer, dryer and microwave included? Ceiling fans and lots of lighting. Both bathroom have garden tubs and the bedrooms and closets are spacious. Needless to say we went right back to the office without hesitation. The process at Camden is very smooth and hassle free. My mom is very pleased to say the least but I'm happier she gets to live in a nice apartment. Thanks, Alejandra for helping us making this process very smooth for us.

All the additional fees and paying for parking monthly was crazy with higher than normal rent. 1st I was told the apt was great with newer appliances...in 7 months I had my refrigerator, master toilet, dryer and water heater replaced. 3rd party plumbers broke a pipe where water came into my apartment. Water was turned off every month for issues. Took 3 months to get a toilet replaced in the MASTER bathroom after I had to hound the office and maintenance. Brittany was the only person that actually followed up when she said she would unlike others and I appreciate her for that. I have put in 20 plus maintenance request in 7 months. Attempted to meet with management which was a failure until I got regional management involved. They finally let me move out with no penalties and I was able to break my lease due to all these issues in a short period of living there! Best thing I could have done. The place I am now is saving me $500 a month, same floor plan, fully staffed where we are not sharing maintenance and staff with another property and they are proactive and not reactive. Had high hopes for Camden but never again.
