I've been a loyal customer of Zack's Frozen Yogurt for over 30 years--long before the ownership…read morechanged--and I've never experienced anything like what happened today. If customer service has truly gone off a cliff, this visit was the proof. I walked in for a simple cup of frozen yogurt, something I've done countless times. The young woman behind the counter didn't ask if I wanted a lid (as I'm always asked), and instead overfilled the cup. When I politely said I wanted a lid, she scraped off the top like it was garbage. That may seem small to some, but presentation matters. I'm not an animal, and I don't expect to be served like one. When I pointed out that this wasn't how it should be done, she snapped back with, "Well how do you think I'm going to close it?"--then followed up with, "If you don't like it, come back here and make it yourself." Excuse me? That's not just rude, it's hostile. I asked the other employee to make a new one, and the same young woman kept up the nasty attitude, saying "I don't care, it's not mine either." The second employee did apologize, and I appreciated that. But when I said I'd be calling the owner, I was told he's on vacation. Is that why the staff feels free to treat customers with such disrespect? Zack's used to be a place where service matched the sweetness of the yogurt. Now, it feels like the values that built this business have melted away. I sincerely hope the owner reads this and takes action--because this kind of behavior is unacceptable, and longtime customers like me deserve better.

All the while the waiter was ensuring we were ok and asked if we needed anything. Atmosphere was great, food was fantastic. Highly recommend it. Opened in September 2016 by Polish emigrant Kasia Lindeberg, who had spent 15 years working in a Stratford health food store. She studied nutrition, deepening her understanding of naturopathic medicine and herbs to heal both body and mind. This is a great place to come and relax, or to order to go. On my visit, it didn't feel like a place we could relax and linger. People were waiting for seating. We felt that the rotunda shape of the building made it feel so loud, almost an echo.
