TENANTS STAY AWAY FROM THIS SO CALLED "PROPERTY MANAGEMENT". These are the WORST guys to rent from. Tony promised us that we would get the apartment and that he's processing the 2 applications. 2 days passed and I called to check, only to know that he rent it for more money for an applicant who applied after us. They claim that they go by first come first serve but obviously they go by give me all your money. He is so RUDE and ARROGANT. He just repeats void excuses like a senseless robot to rob people off their money and to run their credits and harm their score. He only cares for the best interest of the owner not the tenant and this is why he's been reviewed well by them and not by the tenants. Jackie and WPPM managed the rental of my home in San Ramon in 2014-15 when we moved to the east coast. I was always comfortable that all issues would be managed, which was critical because I was a 6-hour flight away. Jackie is professional, responsive, and well-connected. I am very happy with the service from WPPM. Highly recommended! Below I provide more details about my experience. I interviewed several property management companies when it was clear that I wanted to rent my house in San Ramon. After being duly impressed with Jackie in a telephone conversation, we arranged an in-person meeting at my home the following morning. She was very thorough and honest in both assessing a reasonable rental rate, disclosing her costs, and in recommending necessary repairs. She made all arrangements for several vendors to get the house in good shape (carpet, paint, minor repairs). I was very happy with the final product. She marketed the house very professionally and quickly identified an outstanding family. The lease paperwork was handled seamlessly. It was painless on my end. The only maintenance/repair issue that came up during the lease was replacement of a rotten fence. Jackie handled everything, including negotiations with the vendors and my neighbor (split the cost of new fence). New fence looks great and the price was right! Prior to the end of the lease I needed to sell the home. Jackie worked seamlessly with my realtor, tenant, and me to ensure a smooth transition. The entire process from viewing the property, signing the lease, and taking possession of the rental unit was fast, efficient, and Jackie was able to communicate with me on a very timely basis - which I must say doesn't appear to be the norm from what I've encountered with other property management companies. My family rented a home managed by WPPM. The experience of working with Jackie and her team was easy and responsive. We knew we were going to have challenges renting because of the home being near schools and that there were definitely others interested in the home as well. They were thorough about checking our finances and references, which we would fully expect and definitely welcomed the reference check. Jackie kept in contact with us during the process and the personal communication put us at ease that we would be considered for the home instead of just being an application. Once we settled into the home I liked the ability to pay electronically and their system provided a payment record as well as sent me monthly reminders a few days before the start of the month. If ever I had an issue I either made a call to Jackie or placed a maintenance order through their online system. Following any issue I could provide feedback about the supplier or issue as well. WPPM had clear expectations about the care of the home, which we appreciated because we were pleased to move into a home that was well cared for and clean. We also returned the home in excellent condition and the final walk-thru process was easy to complete when we met personally with Jackie. It would have been in the best interest of the owner, to see all the applications. Since you hadn't processed the first applicant and mine came in an hour after you started the application process (as I was informed by both John and Tony) my application should have at least been considered. You also should have notified the owner that we offered to pay more money for the home per month; however, neither action was taken. In addition, you should have notified me prior to viewing the home that you only process the first application, that this home was basically already taken and that we would ONLY be considered if the first application fell through. As a business owner and full time working mother, it was not easy to make arrangements for the viewing. On top of all of that, Tony was arrogant and rude each time my husband and I spoke to him. Regardless everything happens for a reason and I'm sure this is a blessing. Although, I specifically created a YELP account to publicly voice my disappointment with this business and to warn future clients of the unfair and poor treatment we received.
