Megan the "store manager" was super unaccommodating when it came to holding our purchase. I asked her to hold a dress and she said no, it was against their policy, not Windsor policy their store policy. She was rude and unwilling to help us out. We drove over an hour to shop for a homecoming dress because the dress we bought at the Temecula Windsor dress was damaged and they didn't have another one at their store. I explained all of this to Megan and she was still rude and unwilling to help. I'm VERY sad because last year my daughters homecoming was a magical experience as she was the Brea winner of the Windsor Cinderella project and actually won a free homecoming dress. I recently shopped at Windsor to help my 17-year-old daughter get a prom dress. This store had an amazing selection of every type and style dress. When my daughter found the perfect dress her size wasn't available. I have to give a big shout out to Bailie and Megan who went so above and beyond the call of their positions to accommodate us. They searched every store in California and even out-of-state to find the dress and had it shipped to the Escondido store for us. They kept in contact with me by phone. Cynthia was so extremely helpful Friday night while shopping for my daughters prom dress. The store was packed and she was running back and forth and working very hard to search for the sizes we needed. She was also very personable and a pleasure to visit with while we were waiting in line to get into a dressing room. I came here maybe last weekend and bought a dress with my boyfriend (his yelp) & the dress wasn't approved by my mother so she made me switch it. Luckily they allowed it because it was a final sale. I'm writing this review because I'm grateful that they made an exception. I spoke with Kelly first and then the manager today approved of it and helped me get another dress my mom was ok with. April 13, 2016. The manager today said if I wrote on yelp, they get pizza. Why not write a yelp when they were really sweet about it. The only thing I would change is the fitting rooms. I bought an overly priced shirt for my birthday it didn't fit and I didn't even end up wearing it so I went to return it.I still had the receipt and even the tag. It was within the 2 weeks and it was still in the bag, I didn't go earlier because I was busy and hadn't had a day off so I had to make time before work to return it one day. As I go return, I noticed that my tag fell, still in the bag just unattached from the shirt and I told the sales associate and she says she can't return it because the tags not on. I asked her if she could make an exception because I didn't even wear the shirt and it was pricey she condescendingly says no there has to be a tag sorrryyyyy. I thought there was more she could do even speak to a manager, but nothing. I understand there's policies to abide by, but I've returned items at other stores without any tags and it's been fine before, it's all about looking through your inventory to resell or even use a different tag, the sales associates simply just didn't wanna do the extra work so I ended up with store credit, which I'm probably not even gonna use cuz the store is overpriced and the employees are rude and condescending. I'm not trying to act entitled or suggest how to do their job, it's because I work in retail and customer service that I understand that there's always something you can do. I've been to this Location several times as well as others, but this particular one deserves a review to voice my observations. I know Windsor is not a big company like other clothing stores. Leading to that is maybe the company does not offer management courses just as Team leadership, RSL, competencies ect. I believe I will be leaving my review on Megan. I think she is a manager in this location. I did read your reviews on Yelp an it surprises me being a yelper follower and connected to other yelpers that people don't take the time to leave constructive feedback. Like I said I have been in this location several times and I have had the luck to observe how Megan talks to her employees. I think times have change where we don't talk down to, respond in sarcasm tone, make eye gestures total perception on wondering how is this ok. I am in the field and no matter what age anyone is especially younger folks we should treat with respect. Megan you might want to stop and think if this job makes you truly happy or if it's your future career. We need to love what we do in order to teach, developed, train and have the patience to become that person. Everyone learns at different levels and we can't give up right on the first, maybe second or third. Rethink your training. How would you feel if your higher Bosses give up on you based on your personality as a "leader". I felt the urge to write this review. Maybe something snaps with in you and you step back and see what other "customers" see. You are in a field of good customer service you need to play the role it's all in act. I'm sorry for your behavior and sorry for the possibly employees that are current or left with a sour thought of Windsor do to poor judgement and or performance. I am in absolute disgust with the "management" at this location. After many attempts to try and get a hold of someone at the store, I finally either spoke to Bailey (manager) or Megan (manager) (not sure which one because they would not tell me who I was talking to) regarding a transaction issue. In the middle of our conversation, they hung up on me. In another attempt to call and at least get their name, whoever I talked to, jumped on the phone and proceeded to tell me she did not hang up on me, yet still refused to give me her name and hung up on me again. I have worked in retail for years and their behavior was absolutely appalling. You could hear the sarcasm in their voice as they were speaking to me. Is this how you really treat your customers? Clearly the "management" at this location have no respect for their customers and I will no longer be shopping at this location. Went in today to find a dress, for a wedding, with my 10yr old son, who I normally would never take shopping because he is autistic and has a very hard time being patient. The salesperson that helped me today was Diana. She was simply amazing! She made this quick trip to the mall so much easier for both me and my son. She greeted me at the dressing rooms promptly and very kindly and got us into a room quickly even though it was quite busy at the time. She overheard me telling my son to have a seat in the corner on the stool while we both tried to squeeze into the small dressing room. She then offered to move us into a much larger room with a much bigger bench for him to sit on. She started to talk with my son directly telling him he would be much more comfy in the bigger room. She did not have to do that. Especially since it was busy at that time. It's the little things like this that make it so much easier in dealing with a child that has special needs. She then came out later on while I was already paying to bring me a pair of shoes I had asked for earlier that she thought they didn't have. She had found one and again went out of her way to bring it all the way out to me. That is superior customer service. She went above and beyond for her customer. That is so hard to find nowadays. I hope her employer relays my great appreciation to her. And I hope to run into her again the next time I shop there. read more

So I read some reviews on here and I'm kind of shocked! This is my experience. I looked online and found some dresses that I loved. I called and asked if a specific dress was in stock and in my size. They went on to tell me that the only store that had it and in my size was in Pennsylvania. I called that store and it seemed they took care of it and was going to contact the Escondido (this) location. I had the pleasure of having an awesome employee named Annabelle help me throughout this whole process! She was upbeat, super positive, funny, and very knowledgable of the store and it's dresses! I called to check in on the progress since the store needed the district manager to approve of the request to send the dress from Pennsylvania. This location called the Pennsylvania and to my surprise they said that they never spoke with me!! I was pretty disappointed. Annabelle again felt bad and did everything she could to make sure I'm happy! It's getting closer and closer to the ball and I still have no dress. I decided to drop by and lo and behold 2 days before the ball, I made one more trip in.. The first dress I picked was THE dress! I was sad, I'm not exactly skinny and have odd body proportions and haven't been able to find a dress that I feel beautiful in. This store is SUPER clean! All the ladies that helped me that night were amazing and so sweet and supportive! They were honest (which I needed/wanted) and knew all the dresses. They knew who bought what recently, what came in the newest, the most popular.. They were on top of it! It really came in handy because I think it's a rule every woman knows, you don't want to show up in the same dress as another lady at the same event! They are awesome!! Check them out! My dress fit me well, made me feel awesome, and I waited to check the price because I was SURE it cost at least $200.... It was less than half the price! I love this store! I went in the other day and loved it. One of the employees in particular was the best and funniest person ive met at a clothing store her passion to drive a confused and frusturated mom trying to find her daughter a prom dress was a success thanks to her. And well one of the dresses had a small tear and got a 10%discount. When the emmployee told me that the discount was honored i said yes saved a couple dollars. Then she said "you can buy a burger or something haha" i started laughing so hard lol. I went to burger king and got her a 10$ dollar gift card went back and gave it to her just cause she was the best. This Friday afternoon: My time at Windsor is best described as constant disrespect and crude glances. I went with my friend to look for prom dresses and the two girls were needless to say incompetent in the department of kindness. We asked for two dresses to be held for 30 minutes while we looked around the mall for shoes and were responded with a drawn out showdown with the cashier. She continued to argue with us that it couldn't be held when it obviously could have as there was room on the hold rack and was so rude she basically told us to fuck off. After they basically told us to buy a dress or leave we put the dresses back to look for shoes. I went into Windsor this morning to find a homecoming dress. This is the third homecoming dress I had to get. I was up all last night crying because I thought I was gonna look ugly. As I walked in no one greeted me and while I was shopping, no one checked up on me. After searching for a while I went to the dressing room to go try on the dresses I had and the girl at the dressing room looked like she didn't want to be there at all. She just had an attitude and I was trying to be nice to her and it just didn't seem like it was working. So when I finally settled on a dress I went to the front to go find jewelry. There was an AMAZING employee named Terra. She was so kind and sweet to me. She kept it real and gave me her honest opinion. She helped me pick out jewelry and shoes. This would be my first time coming to Windsor to shop for A special occasion dress. I came in around 8 o'clock yesterday night and only one of the three employees that were there helped me. The one that was working the cash register was rude and acted like I didn't exist. Along with one girl who I remembered her name to be Annabel or something like that. She was tall and had glasses but moral of the story she didn't even bother to help me just like the girl in front she didn't even acknowledge my presence and when I asked for help she completely ignored me. Fed up I went to the fitting rooms to ask for help and the sweet girl in the fitting rooms helped me with no problem. I am completely disappointed And unsatisfied with the customer service of the store. And with that being said I would not recommend any of my friends or family to come here. If there was an option of giving this place a zero I would, because that's the kind of customer service I received while being in this store for less than 5 minutes. And let me just be clear, it was only one employee in particular. As I was looking at some dresses this very rude employee walks past me and bumps me, as she is walking very fast. I didn't think much of it until she clearly said "Excuse YOU" in the rudest way possible. I was standing there in one place just looking and she had the nerve to say "excuse you" after HER bumping into ME, um, I think not. Here's the thing, it wasn't the fact that she bumped into me, it was the fact that she rudely said what she said, while being an EMPLOYEE. I've had great experiences in this place before, but because of this, I plan on never buying anything from there again. I don't think I want to give my money to a place that hires people with such ill-mannered behavior. This was the most helpful store in California among the others I've contacted. I live in Michigan and I found a dress that I wanted but I had to do a special order since it wasn't available in my state. Among all the other stores I contacted in California this was the only store willing to help me out. The employees and manager took so much time out of their day for the past couple of days to contact the local store in my state and make sure I get the dress I desired. Especially since I have a wedding and I needed these dresses for the bridesmaids the employees were helpful through the whole process. I want to mostly thank Anabel because she put so much effort into this order since the second I contacted the store. She deserves a lot of recognition because without her and the manager contacting my local store and getting in contact with me I would've never got the perfect dress.
