I don't even know where to begin with these apartments. We lived here for about 1 1/2 years and that was plenty long enough to know we made a mistake moving here. Upon doing the tour it was a nice community but actually moving in you get to see how it's just old run down apartments that they painted and listed for almost 2k a month. When we moved in the floors were filthy we mopped at least 3 times before the floors were clean, paint splatters on the counters, and the heat doesn't ever work. The heat in our apartment was almost nonexistent, we were told they use aqua ducts and that why our apartment wasnt heating, one of the maintenance guys (not Arturo ) told use to go buy space heaters! We are already paying rent and we are expected to pay for heaters?! The leasing team is a complete joke too, our upstairs neighbors were yelling, stomping, dropping things at 12 am and later and we're told they would let them know and nothing was done. If you move into a second floor apartment that is above a garage be prepared to be woken up or your peace disturbed, our neighbors had motorcycles and would turn them on and rev the engines for at least 20 min and it would vibrate the entire apartment. The walls are paper thin. They claim it's a smoke free community but there is constant cigarette and weed smoke and nothing is done no matter how many complaints we sent in. They will not take any complaint seriously. If you have a carport and someone parks in it you can't have their car towed because they don't pay their bill with the towing company. We called twice when our carport was taken by someone else and they said there was nothing they could do because they haven't paid their account, keep in mind this was months between. We were on the second floor and wanted to look at possibly moving to the 3rd floor due to our upstairs neighbors, we went and toured an apartment and it was filthy. The pictures are attached of this "ready to move in" apartment. We decided to break our lease because there was too much going on we did not even enjoy being home because of noise. Keep in mind if you decide to break your lease they want 2 months worth of rent which wasn't terrible but extra fees on top of that were almost 9k, and moving to a different unit was the same cost so we decided to just break our lease. We didn't give 60 days notice so we were charged 2 months rent on top of and extra 6k for fees. In total we now owe 9.4k for breaking our lease early. Safe yourself a hassle and look elsewhere, they may look nice from the tour but moving in is a totally different story. This was our first apartment so we didn't know any better but we will now for the next one. Wouldn not recommend touring here, the leasing office ladies will be so nice when you sign your lease then after that it's like walking into high school when you go in the leasing office, all the women are snobby and stuck up especially the property manager Shannon and Tiffany. We explained we were having financial issues and wanted to break our lease and we were met with judgment and no sympathy whatsoever. We told her we would be out by the end of the week and when we went to turn in our keys there was no note of us having this conversation- even though she said I'm making note and escalating this. Make sure you get receipts from the leasing office because they obviously don't communicate very well and nothing is done with any urgency. Every time we call and ask for a manger we're always told they are in a meeting yet when we go in everyone is sitting down doing nothing, they like to avoid conflict here. Overall this was a terrible property and we happy to be out, we now know what to look out for with our next place.

This is the water leak

ever since i moved here in October 2021 they made us pay for pest control and the building is infested with spiders, you will see spiders around the hallways in your home & spiderwebs in your home and the hallways. We requested a maintenance repair to also fix a leak we have in our ceiling and they told us they would come and paint over it. But said nothing about fixing it. it's been two weeks that maintenance told me this information and still have not come and i put the request in two months ago.

Not a garden tub nor my five piece bathroom I was promised!

This place is old and the leasing agent Elizabeth Botello is a lying piece of crap! We worked with her for two months before we moved cross-country to move into the Windsor at Meridian. She showed us a video of what was supposed to be the place we were going to move into. Which was a luxury apartment with a 5 piece bathroom, washer and dry and fire place. Well, when we final moved in the place, it had no washer and dry which was still on the waiting list with no date insight of when we would get one. My five piece bathroom with garden tub and stand up shower turn out to be more like a regular bathroom with no garden tub or stand up shower. Also, the refrigerator was old and had so many dents and scratches on it that you can see them a mile away. Furthermore, the counters had burn makes on them and the bathrooms had paint all over the floors and there was no fireplace. Instead of Mrs Botello and her manager acknowledging that she lied to us about what she showed us and told us what our apt would look like, and offer a solution to this problem. She told us we can either move out( mind you we just arrived to a new city with no friends or family), or we can just shut up and take this. I was livid to say the least. I found another place the very next day and moved out three days after we moved in. She never even said she was sorry for lying to us and deceiving us into believing we were getting exactly what she showed us in the video and specify to her what we wanted. Oh, she never looked us in the eyes either, the whole time she was talking to us. Which was rude and showed she knew she lied to us from the very beginning. She also claimed she didn't know until the day before we moved that the apt didn't have a 5 piece bathroom...really? You work there, how could you have not known this prior to us moving in. This could have been fixed with a simple switch of apartment but they wanted us to pay even more for another apartment that had everything she had shown us in the video and wanted. She never once said she was sorry for the inconvenience she caused my daughter and I, in having to move to another complex after we just moved across country in three days to Windsor at Meridian. She had very bad customer service and was completely unprofessional. This was just a very unpleasant experience and I would not recommend living here for the price they are charging for this 20 old complex and horrible people that work there namely Elizabeth.

The pros: work out room pool club house ample parking little to no noise issues friendly and informative staff close to lots of destinations (from corporate storefronts to mountains) über pet friendly high ceilings 60-day notice (instead of typical 30-day) The cons: posted speed is 10mpg and not always followed sometimes tenants don't close the walk-through gates behind them drive-in gates seem to be broken often Some rat-fink tenants partied it up and caused the previous privilege of 24-hour access to the gym to be limited to a new time restriction: 5am - 10pm. If management had a crystal ball and could prevent these numnuts from ruining this for everyone, I'd buy them all cookies. We face north, sort of east, and it's quiet on this side. We walked through all the floor plans and opened the patio doors and windows to test our sound tolerance. There's plenty of parking: open, carport, double level garage and single garages. We didn't get hit with hidden fees...we read the fine print and asked a sh-- ton questions. We're annoying that way. :) I suggest you raise your annoying flag high whenever you make a financial commitment. Here's what you should know..."basic" rent is for the apartment only. The "upgrade" models are more expensive by about $40 - $50 / month, last time I checked. There are extra fees for a parking space that is not open. Washer and dryer come with apartment. Do not pay rent using your VISA; there's a heart-attack inducing processing fee. Your pet will need to pay rent. Recycling bins fill fast. For a fee, there is extra storage available around complex. I'm giving 4 stars because of the constant gate issues.

I like the code on the door but I feel like it would be easy for a break in or to get locked out. (I have already been locked out) The train is sooooo loud even with the windows closed and I can hear every car racing on Santa Fe. It smells like pee everywhere. People leave stuff everywhere. I PAY for trash and they don't even pick up my tied bag in my trash can (like requested). Elevator breaks down, pool breaks down, roads keep getting shut down to the house. I've gotten many parking tickets because I've had to park on the side BECAUSE THERES NO PARKING WHERE I PAY TO HAVE PARKING. My husband's new car has been badly scratched. It's such an inconvenience to live here and I would have rather lived in a camper with all these problems honestly. I feel like it's problem after problem and I'm paying about $2,000 a month for a ONE BED ONE BATH and I feel like it's way too much for the quality I'm getting. Although it's beautiful and I love this place everything turns into an inconvenience and I just will not be living here next year. You can never have a peace of mind because you're always thinking about parking or something. I am very disappointed with living here. I would tell anyone to not live here.

In 2021 more people started moving in since Job started opening back up and I noticed that the complex we're having difficulties with people letting their dogs poop and not pick it up and they would poop anywhere and everywhere whether it was inside of the elevator on the sidewalk or at the dog park. That was OK whatever that was on the residence behalf. But also during my time staying here, my cars have been broken into three times and every time I bring it up to the front office they say they're gonna look at the footage and never get back to me in regards to it. Just recently me and my mom this year decided to get on the waitlist for the covered parking spots which run roughly $75 a month additional onto your rent and our cars are still getting broken into and our plates are getting stolen off our cars. Same thing when we bring it up to management, they still tell us the same thing, although my car is directly under a camera and that is the reason why I decided to get the parking, they still aren't able to find or invest the time into figuring out who's vandalizing our vehicles. We pay more to fix our cars in the past two years and it is equivalent to over 2 to 3 months of rent combined. I don't see a reason why we pay combined over 3 to 4000 a month and we can't even have the peace of mind of feeling like we're protected and our cars will be there in the morning. Another issue is the fact that this place allows homeless people into the building and they sleep inside the waiting area underneath our benches. They also set fires in the garbage cans that are underneath our apartments. Lastly, to top off why I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone is the fact that there is no parking for any resident the amount of people and apartments that are available. There is not even close to half as many parking spots available for that. So therefore, a lot of residents are parking on the outskirts of the road but now that a brand new apartment just opened up right beside us that parking spot space will eventually be gone as well which makes it harder for people to park. I know every complex has its own difficulties and issues but I just hate how Oxford station keeps accepting more residents and not looking out for the residents that they have here. I must say maintenance is amazing!!! Without a doubt Jon works super hard and he has a buddy now who also works super hard so I would never take that from them in regards to maintenance request and trying to keep the building as clean as they can. But when it comes to management and their lack of effort with finding out or even trying to prevent all these car, break-ins car theft, people trying to break into our apartments and homeless people living inside the building and setting fires. It just makes me very upset to where I felt like I needed to leave a review since my emails aren't doing any good! Hopefully this helps the next person looking for an apartment here at Oxford station! We pay wayyyyy to much a month for a "nice luxury apartment" and it doesn't reflect any of that!

Mind you, this is coming from someone who probably wouldn't entertain the idea of a blind date let alone do something crazy like move halfway across the country to an apartment I've never seen before. So, read on, folks. After calling this place home for almost a year, I'm happy to report that I couldn't have chosen a better community and location. Denizen is nestled mere steps from the light rail, a few more steps from grocery stores, and a bit more--err, but not too many--steps from a plethora of South Broadway shops, bars, and restaurants. Beyond that, the units are some of the nicest and cleanest I've ever seen. And, as an added bonus, the new Community Manager (Sarah Park) really takes this place to another level with her kindness and professionalism. So, if you like a walkable neighborhood, free coffee, ample dogs to pet, fun neighbors, and the most friendly and attentive front desk staff you'll ever meet, then cancel your other apartment tours. Denizen = 10/10

But the last several months I've been pretty displeased. My storage unit was broken into and I wasn't informed even though police were involved, many of my maintenance requests have taken 2-3 submittals to be resolved, and most recently my ceiling has been leaking for over two weeks now and is still not fixed. Besides all that, this is a great location and the building is still pretty new. Many of the residents are like-minded and young professionals like myself. I would still recommend people to consider denizen as an option for living, but be mindful that some reviews may be outdated; there has been a decline in management the last year or so.

The staff is extremely attentive, neighbors are fun and outgoing, community events are very well organized. We absolutely loved the neighborhood: lots of bars, restaurants, Trader Joe's, hair/nail salons, a great park, convenient bus stop with plenty of buses going Downtown, easy access to Cherry Creek bike trail - everything is within 2 minute walk! The apartment itself was very nice: we had one bedroom with a balcony, and we were the first people to live in it. We didn't have one issue with any appliances/fixtures the entire time we lived there. And any small requests (e.g. lightbulb changes in the overhead stove light) were taken care of the same day. The finishes are very nice and modern, and the windows (especially in the bedroom) are huge! Lots of natural light. One thing I personally enjoyed in particular - because of how well this complex was built, it retains heat extremely well. In the two winters that we spent in the complex, we turned the heat on for approximately 2 hours the entire season. The apartment just stayed warm! And surprisingly, it didn't get too hot in the summer either so A/C never ran for too long. While there are not too many amenities, 7/S has everything you will truly need: fantastic gym with windows all around, great rooftop with mountain views and grills, cozy common area upstairs with several TVs, nice fireplace, and a shuffle board. On one hand, I wish this building had a pool. On the other - every other building that has a pool inevitably becomes an extension of a frat house in the summer since everybody constantly throws parties in the pool area. I would hate to live in one of those buildings during summertime! Unfortunately we had to break the lease because we moved to SF for work, but the entire process was smooth and painless (I should mention that we weren't able to sublet our apartment and had to pay the fee, but we had a very short notice and the fee is outlined in the lease, so it was completely fair). The only negative event that occurred while we lived in 7/S was the bike theft, and unfortunately our bike was stolen during the first (out of three) round. However renter's insurance took care of it within 2 business days so while very sad - at least it wasn't a financial burden. If this building in your price range and close to where you want to be - definitely consider moving here! Will be best decision of your life!

Was definitely concerned that I'd be discriminated against like in the past for being a transgender and LGBTQ+ resident but so far they have been so great of management. I did have some issues getting my hot water fixed for a while but I know that they did everything they could less replacing the whole water heater and then they eventually did that too. The only thing I can think of that I am a bit bothered by is that I can't seem to get them to fix my log in to the online portal and that does take away from my rights as a tenant to report maintenance issues, view/print copies of my account statements and pay my rent bill online. Wish they'd fix this soon because I've sent so many emails addressing the issue without even a response from the management. I look forward to renewing my lease soon because they are overall a great company to work with and I love the townhouses. I'm looking forward to getting my renewal notice since I know you guys are super fair and understanding management. So happy to work with a management company that truly operates according to the housing laws and recognizes tenant rights. Thanks again for being one of the best places to rent from in Denver! You pay a substantial amount of money but once you sign your contract, forget anything being taken care of. Hallways have gone 2 weeks between vacuuming, garbage valet is not working well and you are required to pay for it whether you want it or not. Walking by and seeing cans outside of apartment doors all day is not good practice or a desirable look. Sometimes it sits for the entire weekend. Management keeps some of your deposit for "cleaning and touch up painting" when you move out, which is against the law as it is considered normal wear and tear. Been trying to get my full deposit back for 6 months. They don't care. They keep blowing me off and say they emailed corporate and that's all they can do. I had a nonstop noise from the ceiling from the moment I moved in. They kept saying "we wrote up a ticket" for 15 full months and never got it fixed. Heating was not addressed either. I had 2 story townhouse. One of the thermostats never kept the room at the desired temperature. Thermostat needed to be replaced and never was. Again 15 months of "repair tickets" and still was not resolved. So if you don't mind being ignored if you have an issue, go ahead and move there. But just know that if you have any concerns, they will not take action to resolve it in a timely matter.
