Upon my drive into Houston, my newly replaced windshield that I had just paid a large deductible on gets hit ironically again by a large rock! I was so upset and didn't want the newly damaged crack to run. I right away looked up nearby windshield repair (not knowing of any business in Houston). Upon calling I was lucky to speak direct with owner TJ. I felt completely lost for words after knowing I just had my windshield replaced and this unfortunate event happens again! TJ was so helpful and made me feel at ease when he explained after my sending windshield pic that he would gladly come to my location and take care of the issue. He showed up at the time he stated he would, and did a job beyond belief! I honestly thought it was beyond filling and would need to be replaced. Bottom line: EXCELLENT, FAST SERVICE. Javier showed up to our home within 2 hours and completed the repair in less than 30min. Windshield Fitters quoted us HALF the cost of Safelite who didn't even have technicians available for 2 days. ___ The windshield of our brand new car was chipped by a rock while driving down the freeway behind a commercial vehicle. The cost of replacing the windshield at a Toyota dealership would've amounted to $2,500+ with the new glass and labor (before drive assist calibration costs). Thankfully we got in touch with Javier who was able to come by our house within 2 hours and repair the two chips while we were in Zoom calls for work. Now the chips in the glass are visibly reduced to just a small speck, too small to notice from more than 3 feet away, and we've avoided having to replace the windshield altogether. I decided to try out Windshield Fitters because of the good reviews and I'm very glad I did. TJ was prompt on time, updated me on everything and had the highest quality windshield replacement I've ever seen. I did my research on windshield replacements because of a previous bad windshield replacement experience. If not done correctly like mine, it could lead to trips to the body shop since an improperly installed windshield can lead to rust which will eventually cause leaks. TJ took his time to remove the trim, old windshield and remaining glue while being very careful with not scratching the paint. When putting on the new one, he made sure everything was clean, had special chemicals and tools to make sure the bond will be good and aligned it so that it was as close to factory as possible. Most shops that are in the business to just make money and not install windshields correctly will see that speed is an advantage but it is actually a disadvantage. Most people do not know that windshields need to be installed correctly and this is mostly by prep and alignment because it keeps the structural integrity of your vehicle in the event of an accident as well as drain water through the channels. I have never seen any work on cars as meticulously as I do on my own so he will definitely get mine and my friends business again if I ever need a windshield replacement. If I can give him more than 5 stars I would. Keep up the good work TJ! read more
