I made sure to be home at the time being that I was coming from work and I sat in my car for 2 hours waiting for them and they never showed. 12:30 they still didn't come they are calling me trying to confirm my address when that information was communicated the day prior. After so much delay making me late to other obligations I asked them to cancel as they had no regards to my time and no accountability. Things happen, delays happen but you have to communicate. They offered me a $25 discount which I thought was a slap in the face. I was about to spend $600. I told them to forget it, I was going to do business with them because I was referred to them but the experience was so bitter that I'd rather spend my money elsewhere. A lady calls me back asking me if I'm sure I want to cancel I said yes because they don't respect me nor my time. I informed her I will fix my window elsewhere. She refused to take accountability then tells me "f you b*tch". I hung up. I never rose my voice at her, I never cursed at her. It's pretty bold for them to call me to curse me out when they messed my whole day up due to their lack of professionalism.

After experiencing a recent break in (audio head unit + HVAC system theft), I was distraught. First, it was going to cost me money to repair and second, I did not know jack squat about where to go. Because of visible exterior damage, I assumed I needed to seek a body shop. I went to one and someone quoted me at $400 just for the labor. Eek. I tried another. I got a referral from Domenic of Frank & Son Autobody (http://www.yelp.com/biz/frank-and-son-autobody-bronx) and headed to Zerega Avenue. Because Yelp is not strong outside of restaurants reviews, I decided to take a chance and try this referral. Located on the corner of Gleason and Zerega, I parked in front and asked for a quote. Godfrey, a diminutive old man came out, and quickly determined what I needed (he called the dealership and took down estimates for the parts); he wrote the numbers on his hand (I thought it was funny). The total cost was a fraction of the other quotes. I put down a 25% deposit and returned the following weekend to get the work done. Mike (his son) took care of the work (replaced the run channel, shaped the window frame and attached the window sash) within an hour. This family operated business has been running for about 20 years. It is a small shop but the staff is friendly and my experience was positive. I hope that I don't experience something like this (some @$$hole breaking into my car) again, but if I need glass or upholstery repair for my ride, I'm coming back here. IFHTP 1

It was almost 6pm, and I was panicking about how to get this window fixed as fast as possible. However, most local spots were closing soon or had already closed. With Yelp at the helm and our car insurance on the line, we came across New and Used. Admittedly, this spot looks a bit... shaddy. Frankly, if I hadn't been so desperate, I might not have taken the plunge. But they were open and ready to talk directly with our insurance (three-way call FTW) and pretty clear about what to expect the next day. It seems one way they keep prices down is not to have all the glass on site, but they told us they would call us the next morning after getting the appropriate piece of glass for our relatively common car. They did call within that expected time frame, and they completed the work in a reasonable amount of time. The waiting area wasn't so great, but there are places within walking distance around you can wait or grab some food. I'm very thankful for this spot and being able to accommodate us. They really reduced the stress of a stressful situation.
