They were incredibly professional, timely with their responses, and very patient as it took time for me to make final decision. They never rushed me and were super understanding. From a technical standpoint, my space was tricky because I live in a 490 sq ft studio. It can be real hard trying to find pieces that maximize functionality, storage, and aesthetics. I am happy to report that they managed to do all of those things, and then some. Whenever I move, they will be my first call. I can't recommend them enough.

A local tile store offered free consultations, but having done that for our past bathroom remodel, I knew their expertise was narrower in scope and limited to what they had in stock. Enter Faris and her great ideas! She suggested a color to paint our cabinets that would tie into an existing island we had. She had an idea for backsplash that would coordinate, and also not immediately look dated once the current style became yesterday's hot new thing. I actually found a tile that worked even better than what she suggested, but I never would have considered it if she hadn't suggested that style, or introduced me to a non-local website. If you're considering investing in a $10k kitchen upgrade or a $60k total overhaul, I feel like this is money very well spent. I left our meeting more excited about our mini renovation that I ever was before. A word of advice and why I deducted a star...they are very strict about their billing, so try to be concise and not mess around during your meeting. I enjoyed her company and attempted to establish rapport, but all of that turned out to be billable time. The 7 minutes she was late; the time I took to make us tea; the stories she told about other clients; the time she took a call regarding another project...I was billed for the full time. I'm still VERY glad she came out, and I would hire them again in a second if we decide to undertake another project--I'll just be more conscious of time if we do.

A remodel that touched as many parts of a home as ours did…read moreis so incredibly personal, and emotional at times, but from the first moment we met Crystal of TVL Creative, I knew I was working with someone who would hold my hand; and guide me with the perfect blend of love, creativity, passion, and experience. Our project was not a straightforward kitchen or master bathroom remodel, in fact it was just about every part of our home needing attention but those. And so the daunting task of finding someone who could not only take on a project of that scale, especially because we really didn't have a ton of ideas as to what we wanted beyond a few basics like "get rid of the dark wood (railings, doors, trim), update hall bathroom, total redesign/redocorate of family room, create a pool table room in our living room, and update the closet space on main level". That's how I explained it to Crystal via their website seeking a consultation after seeing the amazing work they did on a friend's kitchen remodel. And from the moment Crystal came for our initial, and free (!), consultation I knew I was headed the right direction. First, once Crystal came to the house, she walked through the whole project with me and my husband, took photos, asked great questions and offered interesting ideas to gauge our design personality. Then she followed up with a complimentary 3D photorealistic rendering of what our pool table room could look like (which we ended up making pretty much no changes to!). We knew from that point that we were all in with TVL!! Their pricing is super flexible, offering their services hourly on an a la carte basis. But even though it's hourly, they tell you how long they think it will take and that's all you pay, so they can't gouge you unexpectedly. With the a la carte, you can choose just their design services, and/or material purchasing and delivery management and/or staging, assembly & installation, and/or contractor recommendation/alignment, and/or project management and site visits. Well, I hate all things design and wanted to be as hands-off as possible, so I signed up for everything!! We then set a budget for everything else and we were on our way! We started talking to Crystal almost 6 months before starting our project. But we filled our first weeks with lots of back and forth via email (my preference and hers), sharing renderings and discussing ideas of what we wanted our family room to look like. By the third rendering she had nailed that design down for us. We then locked down the design details of the other parts of the project. Then began the fun of shopping and ordering all of the beautiful new things. Crystal understands how timing works for things like a custom order couch, and since she knew we had some pretty specific criteria including the need to actually be able to test it out in person, she began the hunt for our perfect couch plenty early. And she found it!! That was the beginning of many successful shopping missions Crystal accomplished for us; both in stores and lots online too. She confirmed all purchases with us before buying, provided us with receipts as well as a spreadsheet tracking all expected and actual spending to assure us our budget was still on track. Crystal was reassuring every time I started freaking out about this or that. She was patient when I became obsessed with finding the *perfect* console table, such a small piece of furniture in the grand scheme of everything else but she made it her priority to find me that perfect table with a smile and good humor. Once the time finally came to start the project, it could not have gone any better!! Everything from our contractor she recommended, to the painters and the carpet install, to the tiniest of details-she attended to them professionally and with a genuine desire to act in our best interest. Our project was completed in the expected time frame, and her team killed themselves to ensure we'd have our home done and ready for a New Year's Eve party. There were a few follow up items like returning/replacing broken or incorrect deliveries, and Crystal handled it all with such grace and was fully committed to the very end with us. Most impressively, we ended up UNDER BUDGET! Not by a ton, but without sacrificing any of our needs and wants, we still had a little money left over at the end! How often do you hear of a remodel that is ON TIME and UNDER BUDGET!? Not often, because they didn't have Crystal and TVL guiding them every step of the way. Also, keep in mind they work with ALL budgets, so while other contractors or designers might scoff at your budget or if you think there's no way you can do what you want on your budget, I encourage you to contact TVL to find out for yourself. They take a fresh approach to design and construction, and are nothing like any design firm your mom (ha, or my mom) has every used!!

There was brown liquid spilled on the cabinets and floors, paint spilled on the floors, stairs & countertops, outlet covers missing (still not found), painter's tape still stuck to the walls & baseboards, and sunflower seeds littered across EVERY single floor in the house (including the in the carpet and the bathtub). I am shocked at the way the house was left and how sloppy this was. This was not the condition that it was supposed to be left in. I had a showing the next morning so had to spend over 3 hours cleaning it. I contacted the manager about it and received a $275 discount. They did offer to come back over and "take care of these items" but I had no time to let them come back so I had to take care of it myself. For how much I paid to for this to be done I expected way more from this company. I will not be using this company again.

The Hunter Douglas products are well made and they offer some attractive fabrics and just about any option you would wish for with excellent app design for controlling the blinds. We felt the price was very reasonable after comparing to Costco's quote for less-appealing fabrics in Graber blinds. They have always done stellar work and carry high quality products. Unfortunately one of our Hunter Douglas shades of the mid 90s had a failed cord due to its extended use in a bedroom. When I called to see if it could be restrung, I learned the sad news that they cannot, due to federal safety laws regarding the child strangulation prevention measures of current manufacture. A good thing for children of course, but a complication for homeowners. We went out to their facility and worked with one of their designers and chose a shade similar enough in color and style to fit in our home. We ordered the product and waited about 4 weeks until it arrived. We picked it up and planning to install it ourselves, having done so for some of the older ones in the past. As it turned out, the method of install is so different now, the tools required and the shape of the brackets now also different, we were unable to do it. I called the designer and asked if we could have an installer after all. She contacted installation and got me the contact to set it up. Today the installer got here, a true professional, on time and with tools in hand, had it done in under 20 minutes. Nothing like having the skills and the tools and the height to do it with ease. We felt very fortunate and the price to do this was very reasonable. I will continue to use Innovative Openings for all of our window coverings. One more note, if you do have an older Hunter Douglas window shade product in your home with any small plastic fasteners or pull tabs for the old cord system that have cracked with age or high altitude sun exposure like ours, those parts can be ordered directly from Hunter Douglas online. It is simple to replace most of these parts. The parts are free and I was only charged a minimal shipping fee. I was able to get about 7 pieces. I was able to match colors for past products up to nearly 20 years old. I did those replacements myself. I even switched one to the same color but a different shape to better match the older blinds in the adjacent room. It's the internal cord system on the older blinds that they can no longer re-string. If you want to prevent replacing, be very gentle on them as they age.

We purchased our home in in the Columbine area in 1993, and went to a Denver Garden and Home Show…read morethe following winter. We saw a demonstration of the then Quality Exterior Products, now known as Quality Awning's, European Rolling Shutters. Benefits were security, temperature management, and sunlight control. Mom suffered from severe migraines. Being able to close out daylight during an attack was a greatly desired feature. We tried having 3M Window tint applied to all south and east facing windows, and that wasn't good enough. We'd installed thermo-lined draperies throughout the home, and they didn't do the job. We had Quality give us an estimate, and still waited a year. We contacted Pat at the next Garden and Home Show. and chose to go ahead with the installation. The price quoted was the same as the original estimate, even after a year. We noticed a huge difference in our utility bills that year!! Pat and family are great to work with. When we decided to upgrade our windows, We had Pat come to remove and then re-install our shutters, right over those gorgeous new windows. The European Rolling Shutters have been on our home for 27 years. They look attractive, are easy to operate, and most importantly, have held up beautifully all this time. We definitely feel they add to the curb appeal of our home. It's worth the investment to purchase Quality. Bill & Jane D J

Would never recommend this company based on their poor business practices and the owner's continued…read moreblaming the dislike of the current President rather than personal greed for his current inflated prices. Allow me to expand: Called on a Mon or Tue to have an awning moved and spoke to Pat who said he would call a couple days later to schedule an appt. As this company had installed the awning and I lived relatively close, we both agreed scheduling the movement didn't seem like it would be too far out. The rest of the week passed and I didn't hear back from Pat. The following Tues my phone rant and it was Pat. Figuring he wanted to schedule an appt, I grabbed a pen and got ready. Not to be. He was in my driveway with no advance notice to allow time to ready my dog or myself. So I show Pat how far it needs to be moved over and he tells me to move the awning over the price will be $450!! That is double the cost of the labor for the original install. Then he asked me to pay in check or cash to avoid paying the charge on visa machine due to, you guessed it, 'inflation'. The only word he would say over and over is 'inflation'. Now I highly doubt he doubled the salary of his employees in the 8 or so years since I had the awning installed, so where is the 'inflation' going to unless it's pure profit to him? Not sure how many uniformed people he installs awnings for, but inflation is caused by companies (like Quality Awning) charging more because they CAN. Don't pay it and inflation will go down. Remember when people weren't traveling during the pandemic and gas prices fell? Same idea. Supply and demand people.

Direct Awning came out right away, helped us select an awning that fit our needs, and gave us the best value for our money. Our back patio was completely unusable due to the sun and heat.
