I shared that I wanted something that looked like it had always been part of the house and wasn't an afterthought. He took that to heart and executed amazingly. We wanted to be able to reduce the glare and heat from the afternoon, western sun and also wanted to create some privacy on the northern side of our patio that faced neighbors. The patio shades did both and we've received numerous compliments from family and friends. We even realized after installation (and a few weeks after having our new fence installed) that we needed to remove a railing and wanted to change the length of one of the shades to increase our privacy.
