It turned out that because we have new replacement windows in an old home, the window depth made it impossible to install blinds as I'd originally planned. The shades arrived quickly (faster than anticipated), and Kevin promptly booked an appointment to install them. He spent a long time making sure the shades were installed perfectly, and he was a pleasure to do business with. I priced the same shades elsewhere and they were the same cost. We had 3 tricky windows (a…read morevery, very large window; a sliding door; and a kitchen sink window with a small "eyelash" at the top) that I wasn't sure that we would be able to put Lutron smart blinds on but he was able to come up with a very elegant solution for all 3 that was also within our budget. He did a great job of walking us through all of our options, pros/cons of each, and provided us recommendations that felt tailored to our situation & budget (ie, I never felt like I was being upsold on anything). After having an in-home consultation to go over everything and take measurements we placed our order. The day of install, James and a colleague arrived on-time and installed the 9 blinds in less than an hour (seriously, they were so fast). They were very professional and respectful of our home (eg, cleaned up after themselves). There was a delivery issue with one of blinds (not Budget Blinds fault) and James sorted the issue that day and came by outside of business hours to finish the install for that last blind, which was greatly appreciated. Four months later and I am still in love with the Lutron smart blinds--one of the best upgrades we made to our home. They provided a schematic of how the door would look, and an easy to understand and competitively priced project proposal. The proposal also detailed several options we were considering, including 1/2" glass. We opted to move forward with Pioneer, they estimated it would take approximately three weeks to order our custom door. Just under three weeks later, our door arrived and was installed a few days later. There were no issues, the measurements were correct, door looked great and worked perfectly and swings easily, all 90 pounds of glass. And the 1/2" glass gives the shower a high-end look and feel. We'd be delighted to work with them again on our next glass related project.
