I had Landon's landscape designer come out to discuss an estimate to install a pathway with pavers…read morea couple of years ago. At the time, I also asked for a solution for the downspout extensions which are currently draining out about 4 1/2 ft. from the house to an area where I walk. She said she would look into a solution for the downspout extensions but suggested I route them toward the foundation bed which is NOT recommended to protect the house foundation. I wanted weed block included under the pathway and pavers. She said they do not put weed block under the flagstone/pavers because it was too hard to set the pavers/flagstone. And, at $75/manhour labor, they do not guarantee any of their work. Weed block IS recommended as part of pathway prep and another landscaper had no problem installing weed block. I got the estimate back with a couple hours labor charge with no landscape fabric included and no mention of the downspout extension drainage. I have seen some of the work Landon's did on other people's properties.... mulch so thin that weeds came through a couple of days after the installation, trees planted that were not appropriate for the site, drip tubing installed less than 1/4 diameter and the homeowner lost plants. I have traveled as far as Blake Nursery in Big Timber to get quality, more reasonably-priced plants with an excellent selection.
