We purchased windows from this company about 10 years ago. Bad move. The windows are poor quality and the installation was absolutely horrible. The flashing and the channeling around the windows was done so poorly, I had to add caulk to the corners to close the gaps and the caulking they did do was done with a substandard caulk that never cured correctly and literally "washed" off the house creating white streaks under all the windows. During the installation, they broke out our old windows and left shards of glass inside and outside the house for us to find for months (fortunately our young children were not hurt). Ever since then, every attempt to engage them has been met with rude and unprofessional people. They offer no help to resolve problems and will not even engage another contractor we recently used who replaced our roof and broke one of our windows. He and my wife both were rudely treated when calling the office to try and find replacement parts for the window. The woman on the phone indicated that since we had no receipt she couldn't help us and it wasn't their responsibility to keep records for customers. How these people continue to be in business baffles me. STAY CLEAR! *Update: My contractor called on our behalf (not posing as us), and then my wife called and spoke to someone and when the only option they gave us was to PAY them to come out and replace the window, my wife stated that she only wanted the part because they did shoddy work for us in the past. There should be a NEGATIVE 10 star rating for this TERRIBLE company. DO NOT DO BUSINESS OF ANY KIND WITH THIS DISHONEST COMPANY!! I was stupid enough without doing my homework to sign a contract for 10 windows in my home only a few months ago. The work was terrible and of course I had to pay upfront. The outside capping has so many gaps in it. It is so sloppy and so unprofessional. I can't believe this company is still in business. I called several times, but each time I called there was no record of my previous call. I wrote down the person's name each time I called, but they always told me there was no one by that name that worked there then I would get "disconnected." This went on for too long. I finally said if Mitchell, the owner, did not call me, I was going to the BBB. He then finally called me. I explained my concerns and he replied very rudely, "Thank God it's not cancer." He got loud and threatening and tried to bully me into thinking I was wrong. Since, I've gotten several independent estimates from 2 other companies both telling me, along with my skilled handyman that if I don't get them redone properly, it could cost thousands down the road when my framing is rotting. Bees and bugs are getting in all of the gaps. The only thing W.W. offered was to caulk gaps and bend back the framing. THATS NOT GOING TO FIX A MAJOR PROBLEM. It's like throwing a drop of water on a fire! PLEASE TRUST THESE REVIEWS AND DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH WINDOW WHOLESALERS. PAY a reputable company a bit more and get it done right. UPDATE!!!!!! OMG! Tuesday, Sept. 12th, I woke up hearing noises which bean to REALLY SCARE me as I thought someone was breaking into my home!! I won't describe the panic I was feeling, but when I realized what the noises were, I got VERY ANGRY...it was Window Wholesalers! I DID NOT GIVE THEM PERMISSION to come back to my home as I don't trust them, nor did I want the frames bent and caulked as they said would "fix the problem". I specifically TOLD THEM I WOULD NOT BE SATISFIED WITH BENT CAPPING AND CAULKED CAPPING. THERE SHOULD BE NO PROBLEMS, as my windows are only 8 MONTHS old! There were 2 men on ladders bending my capping and caulking. I told them to get off of my property and I called the police. They grabbed their ladders and went running to their truck. I bought Onka Windows and sliding glass door from Window Wholesalers and the windows were installed in August, 2012 and with the harshest winter freeze in December 2013 one of the windows cracked at the corner. We have tried to contact Mitch at Window Wholesalers and at Onka Windows. The Window cracked due to temperature extremes. The cold caused the glass to crack along the bottom right edge of one window. They are telling us to call a local person to replace the frame of glass, but we would like them to look at how the window was installed. The customer service has been awful. I had the same experience with rude employees who also started yelling at me when I began to tell them I needed 2 windows. They wouldn't let me talk and immediately raised their prices (Bait and switch) claiming they had to replace my capping and the advertised price of $197 quickly rose to almost $400 per window! I explained that I just resided my house and all my capping was new, but the woman on the phone continued yelling at me. When I hung up , they called me back so they could continue to yell at me. First let me say that I am a homeowner and a business owner. We had this company install replacement windows on February 9 2011. We called for service today because the $3000 bow window has a broken seal. We were told by some woman that our windows were installed over 5 years ago and wee would have to pay $149 just to have someone look at them. When I read the "guaranteed for life" statement to her she said nothing is free. When I asked her for her name she handed the phone to a man saying that I was a real piece of work. Very Rude. The man said I would have to send a copy of my contract and A check for $149 to the manufacturer had they would take care of it but also stated that I would be responsible for any replacement parts. if I could give zero stars I would, our first appointment was scheduled for last monday but after several delays the sales rep called and said he wouldn't be able to make it until about 9pm from a 5:30 appointment so we mutually agreed on Monday the 28th. Sales rep calls and for some reason thinks its 5 when its really 5:30. Anyway sales rep shows up, and the minute he found out that one of the decision makers would not take part in the sales pitch (we are smarter than that) he immediately looked for an excuse to leave, which he did and was at the house a total of less than 10 minutes. Said he needed to contact someone about tempered glass pricing but the funny thing is he didn't measure anything at all Time for these window companies to start using new sales tactics, people are fed up with high pressure sales, if you buy today its this price, not sure I can extend our sale price if I leave a quote etc etc. ITS ALL BS. I contacted them through their website about having between 1 and 8 windows replaced. At least four need to be done by the end of the year, and most likely I'll have all 8 done - with more next year. A woman called me back, but as soon as she heard "1", she shut down completely and would not allow me to explain any of the above. She was extremely rude and repeatedly stated that they won't do less than 4. Today, I had the pleasure to call and cancel my appointment due to a situation that came up. I was told rudely that my appointment was between 3:30 and 4:30. I told the woman that my appointment was at 3:30. She told me rudely that no they make window time frames. I told her that I was never informed of that and they might want to consider telling their customers that. (Why? because someone like me would have waited 15 minutes and left). After that she hung up on me. While I was upset, I realized I would not go with this company. As I was still in work, I received a phone call on my cell. A very abrupt man said, You called to cancel your appointment? I said yes, and I won't be using your company, I was hung up on. I spoke with a firm tone, was not yelling. After trying to explain to him numerous times that I don't like being hung up on. He started yelling at me, telling me If I wasn't yelling at him, he could explain. At that point I hung up. I was shaken that I didn't even know this person and I was getting yelled at telling me I was yelling at them. After I hung up, my co workers looked at me and asked what was going on. "Guaranteed for Life" apparently means that you can pay a fee for someone to come "evaluate" an obvious broken seal...then you can pay whatever fees are quoted for the replacement parts! I'm amazed at how consistent this company's poor reviews are and the similarities to my own experiences. When my windows were installed, the caulking was done so poorly that they had to come out and re-caulk the entire job. This only made everything look worse, as the caulk was now super-thick. The guy that showed up wreaked of booze first off.. When we came back they had damaged several walls, crushed floor molding and just about destroyed our exterior stucco. We asked them to come back to fix the damage and it looks like a 4 year old slapped spakle on her finger and wiped it every where... i've also had my own dealings with Mr Mitchell and whoever that woman is that answers the phone!!! The rudest ever.... I had 24 windows installed in my home 5/14 and as a result of improperly installing and caulking, I had a leak from the upstairs bedroom into my dining room. You can imagine the mess in both rooms! I called Mr Mitchell who told me to call this into my homeowners ins, he did not install and blah blah. I kindly told him HE IS responsible for this mess due to his unqualified installer. After he was finished SCREAMING at me, I politely told him I would not listen to this anymore and would see him in court He then started calling me back, and so on, fortunately I did not have to go that route and had an adjuster come out to look at damage. Mr Mitchell was telling me the leak was coming from roof, I called my roofer to access, damage was coming from improperly installed window. In addition, my roofer looked at every window installed and showed me the drainage holes that were caulked over, how is the water suppose to drain out? No wonder I had a leak!!! Unbelievable. My roofer offered to correct all the mistakes and a fee was agreed upon between my roofer and Mr Mitchell. The installers insurance paid the claim, but Mr Mitchell was dodging the roofer's bill. Many months later I rec'd a call from my roofer telling me he was never paid. I then called the Insurance company who paid my claim and gave them the information. Result: he was finally paid after months of waiting. Is this any way to run a business? I will NEVER recommend this company or have anything EVER to do with any of them. Totally unprofessional. We called to cancel an appt for Tuesday (we were considering a different time and date) and a male took the call and thanked me for the business. Perfect, and professional... (The appt was cancelled, since I am being treated for an aggressive brain tumor at UPENN and we have an AM appt that may not end by 11am, since all appts run very long). Half hour later, (I have the phone records) my wife got a call from a female, who, stated clearly on speakerphone, "You and your husband must not be too bright to cancel, and, don't call again". OMG. The previous owner I purchased my home from, bought the windows from this company. I just called to ask how to remove the screens so I can thoroughly clean them. What horrific customer service!!!!! The rude woman that answered said the screens don't come out and the service department was closed today (they probably do not have a service department). Mitch the vice president came out to perform the sale, he uses high pressure sales tactics. Buy now and save but if you dont sign on right now the price changes. But his prices were decent and the product seemed equal to others. Later called front office about a concern/question and Marcy the president answered and instantly became aggressive, threatening my wife to be taken off the schedule and when my wife expressed her concern and wanted to cancel the business deal she was told good luck with legal fees. Absolutely the worst company either of us has dealt with. The only reason the deal proceeded was because they already had a portion of our money and we feared a total loss. After being rescheduled by them the project concluded a day late. So far one window has a considerable draft that was non existent on the old windows. I had window wholesalers reinstall windows in my entire house 8 years ago. Once or twice a year I called them emailed them, NEVER GOT A RESPONSE. The windows they removed were better than the windows they put in and they were in bad shape. These windows have been fogging up, the vinyl is peeling of the frame on the outside. They never replaced the original framing AND(this is a kicker!) I just found out that they did not put the same size window in, but a smaller one and then just put some extra framing around it. That is why some of my windows are crooked and hard to open and lock. They supposedly have a lifetime warranty, but they apparently have no warranty. if no one ever responds. I still have the original bill, so if windows wholesaler is reading this. It is not too late to right a wrong, although I am replacing the widows soon. OMG STAY AWAY-THIS NO DEAL HERE!!!! read more

If I could rate 0 stars out of 5, I would. The customer service was absolutely HORRIBLE. I am currently having a leaking issue so I called customer service to ask questions. I paid money for a transferable warranty when I bought my condo in the fall, so naturally I was hoping for help and insight. WRONG. The older woman on the other end was outright condescending and rude. She accused me of "telling tales" and assured me I was being recorded. Supposedly, there is "no record" of the installation of my windows when I clearly have paperwork stating they were the installers. The woman then went on talking to me like I was an idiot, was of no help whatsoever, and told me there were "13 other woman in the office all listening to our conversation." Way to be professional. I would not have the negotiated price, unless I sign today. I signed a contract, but my payment would not be available till the next day. I have had nothing but problems since my window wholesales in stalled 20 windows 7 years ago. Leaks, leaks, leaks everywhere. Ceilings below windows are destroyed, would ledge at each window is swollen from water getting in again and again. Talked to woman on phone many and all I got was an earful of one nasty person. My apt was rescheduled multiple times and they did not try to accommodate my schedule at all. Beware of Window Wholesalers... 3 things that were a big concern and caused a lot of stress -- The owner (Mitch) stated that we did not need to replace the huge half moon window in the front of our house, he stated that it only needed some work around the window and they would take care of it! We were so happy not to have to replace that large window! When the worker came to install he said he couldn't do anything with that window - before he even examined it! I was so disappointed. They insisted on the balance due by certified check BEFORE they do the work putting in the new windows in. Who does that? Really. But most of all, I was treated so poorly by the woman who answers the phone, Maryann. I just needed a print out of the papers we had signed, the warranty, the $8000 we had put down, and a copy of what we were buying. I was stressed because I had misplaced them. It was awful trying to get copies of these! She stated the workers will have them the day they installed and they didn't. They had no idea what I was talking about. Most of all she was beyond rude to me whenever I called. So be careful of the sales lady on the phone. She was great at first until we signed the contract, then she didn't have the time of day for me. My husband had to leave work a half day early because of so many things going wrong the day of installation. I called to inquire about the "lifetime warranty" on the Series 2500 windows we had installed by Window Wholesalers. The inside pane of glass cracked on a downstairs window. The woman on the phone was extremely defensive and suggested a bird flew into the window and the pressure of the impact somehow caused the crack on the inside pane, leaving the external pane and screen completely intact. They want $189 to have their service department come out to give an estimate for how much it would cost to replace the glass. Add on the additional charges and it will be two times more than what we paid to have them installed in the first place. Way to stand by your product WW. As I sit here and read through several unfavorable reviews, I ask myself why I didn't read before or why my problem seems to be repeated by others??? We had six windows replaced approximately a little under ten years ago. We always have had draft problems with these 6 but assumed that yearly caulking would help solve. In the past two years, two of these windows have leaked SO bad that the drywall in those two rooms is going to have to be replaced again, which we already have done and continue to have to do!!! After two calls and several return calls from them, I scratch my head and wonder just how they can stay in business!! When my calls were returned, I was addressed by VERY RUDE people both times!! I was told "I would have to pay $249.00 for service call to come and look at it, nothing in this world is free!!" Great way to respond! I called to set up an apt. with a woman who was very friendly and accommodating. They came to my newly purchased house in Margate, NJ within two days of calling.I was given a very fair estimate especially compared to three other companies which I had contacted. We purchased windows approx. 8 years ago, big mistake. Our neighbors recommended them, but we later learned our neighbors had problems down the line as well. We purchased and had Window Wholesalers install 16 windows and approx. 4 of them have poor quality windows. Two windows you can barely see out the window as they became foggy and tinted over time. I called to inquire how we go about remedying the situation and was shocked to hear we had to pay "up front" for them to come out. When I inquired about the warranty on the window, I was told "nothing in this world is free". I was shocked by her lack of empathy and ownership. Honestly, we've not done anything since we called because it doesn't seem right we would have to pay up front but now that we're thinking of selling, we don't want this to become an issue in selling our home. I hired them to replace 7 windows at a rental property of mine. When I got to the job I noticed that two of the old original windows had not been replaced. The installer, who did a great job, said we must have miscounted when Mitch the owner came out for the quote. I thought it strange because we walked every room and I watched him measure, but didn't make a big deal about it. It occurred to me later that they may have replaced the wrong ones. I found pictures that showed the windows in the room were newer and called to see how we could get this fixed. I spoke with Mitch the owner who was very defensive right from the start. Saying that I should have been there and there was no way that could have happened. I have dealt with a lot of contractors in my business and never have I had to stay there and babysit them. That makes no sense. If they do something wrong they get it fixed at their expense. This is something that Mitch and Window Wholesalers was not willing to do. They asked if I wanted to buy two new windows at the same price. No discounts or anything for their mistakes. I would stay away. I'd give 0 stars as well if I could. HORRIBLE, RUDE people on the phone. I own a property that unfortunately used this company to install windows before I purchased the property, and man I wish they hadn't. We had a sash crack this winter and all I wanted to do was order a replacement sash. First, I called the 610 number (which is on their site and the local number for me, and I have no idea who answered (a man) because all they said was "hello" and not very happily. I explained who I was and what I was looking for, and he told me basically to call another company, they don't do that work. Upon further review, and since I had all of the window specifications I needed to order the window, I thought perhaps I should call the 888 and see if I could order a replacement through them. The woman that answered was so rude and cut me off as I was explaining the situation and rudely told me that I could call the service number. She said because I didn't have the original receipt, and I wasn't the customer, they couldn't help me at all, and that I "lied" because I told them I purchased the window -- what does it matter WHO purchased the window? I was trying to order a replacement through them! They didn't have to do any work, and I wasn't looking for any return on any warranty! She continued to call me a liar, and I told them that not helping people who are asking for it is bad business. And she hung up on me. Well, lady, you ARE bad business. IN fact, I'm in the customer service business, where referrals are a must, and I will tell everyone I know stay far, far, far away from this horrible company as they clearly do not have any interest in helping anyone but those who they've somehow duped into buying windows from them (and only if they have the receipt). I can only comment on my pre sales experience with this company. I had scheduled an appointment for an estimate on 3 windows. Which I had called to confirm 2 days prior. After an hour of waiting I called to find out where they were. For some reason the dates got mixed up for the appointment and I stated that we should just cancel the meeting going foreward. At that point the woman on the other end of the phone became aggitated stated very bluntly "Good luck to you and your 3 windows" and hung up. I called back to state I did not appreciate her attitude. After all I was the one who had invested time and effort into this. She become very rude and when I mentioned the bad internet reviews I had read "must be true" I was threatened with a lawsuit for delfamation of character if I posted online. I have spent over $10,000 with window wholesalers! I called to tell them that I was having a problem with the screens on the windows (which by the way don't ever do half screens). I did not know I was getting half screens debris and bugs fall into the sills). The woman who answered the phone who I knew was Mitch's wife was EXTREMELY obnoxious and rude which is the norm for her! I as trying to explain what was wrong and she immediately cut me off and told me to call back to speak to the repair dept tomorrow! She WARNED me that I better have my receipt as they are not in the business of filing paperwork and if I didn't have it they couldn't help me! OMG. Other than the screens I like the Windows but the finishing work is SHODDY and sloppy! The installer they sent out could barely breathe or move! He seemed to be in poor health! I will never recommend them or use them again! Once they do work for you they do not want to know you! His wife also told me that Mitch's wife doesn't work there and that she is an attorney! They are bullies! BEWARE, LIARS! I am a business owner myself and could not imagine any employee of mine talking to people the way they do! And I am not one of their competitors! Stay away!! Bought several replacements windows. One leaked and now I have a stained wall. The installer did come back and caulked the windows which was not done at installation. BUT IT GETS BETTER! We fell for the "I have a roof guy" since we were in the market for a new roof. The roof stopped leaking and other leaks started. My husband climbed on the roof and flashing as not done properly and holes were left open. My husband fixed the holes and the leaked stopped. Now my kitchen ceiling is stained. My husband was so furious he would not let me call this guy because he would not let him back on the property. I will save you fiasco I encountered when I tried to pay the roofer and the salesman told me to send the check directly to him and he would pay the roofer. The roofer was on MY phone arguing with this salesman and a woman on the other end of the line. The roofer threatened the salesman by saying he was going to his house down the shore (it was summer time). NOW , I have bill collectors calling me for the roofing company. read more

read this! they made a mess of the house. after they installed the windows the trim was warped and blowing in the wind and they refused to fix it. a window wouldn't stay open and they refused to fix it. every time i called for help they were rude and nasty and refused to do anything. read more
