It was barely used and was in excellent condition, but for some odd reason the cushion was sinking. I figured, if I got it reupholstered to the color of my choice and had the cushion replaced, it would be good as new. I took to my handy dandy Yelp app and did a search and Mill End popped up. I'm familiar with the shop, since a family member worked there years ago, but I had no clue they did this type of work. I gave them a call and was told to bring in a picture to evaluate the chair because they didn't want me to be without my chair for a long time. Well, I thought bringing in the chair itself would be easier, since I wasn't in a hurry for it. I was greeted by a very knowledgeable staff member who gushed about how beautiful the chair was. She did an evaluation of what would be needed to repair and reupholster it and then showed me the fabrics that were available in the color I selected. They have a large variety of fabrics on-sight in the store, but they do have options that can be ordered. The one I selected was on-sight. We agreed upon the estimated price, I filled out some paperwork and I was out the door. It was literally that quick and simple. Since they have a pretty extensive client list waiting for their projects before me, my estimated date for the chair to be completed was about 2 months or so. To my surprise, I was called about a month later informing me that my chair was ready. I arrived and was extremely pleased with my brand new chair. The workmanship was beautifully done and the cushion they replaced was perfectly placed. They did such a phenomenal job, my parents wanted their chair back. Lol! Not on my watch! Yes, Mill End is a bit pricey, but so worth it! They're truly professionals. I'm planning to get my dinning room chairs reupholstered in the near future, so I made sure to get an estimate while I was there. I'll absolutely be back in the near future.

Located in the historic Sykesville, Revive & Company offers unique gifts and tasteful home decor! All the items are beautiful - I particularly couldn't get over the Austrian hand-painted Easter eggs - they were exquisite, my favorite being the strawberry one! I also loved that they had locally handmade cards, super cute stringed garlands, and even showcasings of local artists (such as Sid Dickens' Memory Blocks). Did you know that this place also carries furniture, such as hand-crafted accent pieces? They also do custom orders, so don't be afraid to ask! Ms. Mary Ann was there herself, and she was so friendly and welcoming! Definitely stop by to peruse at your leisure - you won't be disappointed! I'd love to return to spruce up our new place in the future! +Austrian hand-painted Easter eggs +tasteful home decor +custom-order furniture +Ms. Mary Ann! :D

The store is huge (the largest Ace in MD) and the staff went above and beyond to help me out. I showed up in the middle of a rain storm without an umbrella to buy a pile of power tools. Rather than call me out for my poor planning. The staff very generously helped me figure out a way to get my new purchases to my car without getting them wet. This may sound minor, but when was the last time someone at a store went out of their way like this. I didn't even have to ask. Seriously can't say enough positive stuff about the team here.

This lower level of service means that we can go to closer hardware stores. We have shopped here for years, enjoyed Ladies Night, the Christmas Jazz band and are in at least one a month for a few hundred dollars. This really takes us to looking for a new store now. We only started shopping here due to the Apple Card special. Kinda just took a big slap towards Apple Card tap to pay. We don't do gas stations that require card because of the risk of card readers. And it's just a sign of higher fraud in our book. Unfortunate, we used to love coming here, even with the more limited and older selection. Please fix, or we're not likely to drive the extra mile past Lowe's or Home Depot.

After living in the area for years, I always passed by the whimsical exterior. I finally ventured in for the first time and wish I had done so sooner. It not only has the charm and magicalness of walking into a witch's cottage or a fairy garden shop, but is also a time capsule where you can find calendars from 2007 with whimsical fairies that you can still buy today. In other places, I would absolutely be put off by the old merchandise, but in a place like Forget Me Not Factory, it absolutely fits the vibe of the establishment, and I actually really enjoyed finding old things for sale there. It felt like stepping into the past, and I cannot wait to go back. Whether to find new items for my garden or supplies to make my next Ren fair costume.

Honestly, there is so much in here that it can be overstimulating. I know I wandered about this space for quite some time and contemplated buying so many items in here. Everything miniature you can think of is in this space. A lot of the items in here can possibly be used to construct Christmas villages as well. If I remember correctly I was mesmerized by the Ghostbuster items. I just couldn't justify the prices they were asking for some of the items. In short, this place is quirky and definitely worth a stop if you want to grab a unique gift for someone. Or if you have a little one with you that might want to indulge in some make believe.
