I have found his office to be difficult to deal with. I thought I had found a wonderful dentist…read morethat I liked and trusted, but after the past year, I wonder about both the office and the dentist. I had my first and only (and hopefullly last) crown done by Dr. Arsenault, I had to go to a different dentist for a root canal, followed by another dentist who had to do some work prior to the actual crown being created/applied. All seemed to go well, but took many months to finish and about $5000 out of my pocket. In the past, I had had my teeth cleaned there. When I went to go for my next cleaning, they wanted to do more xrays and I typically don't do that annually, but every few years and if there are any issues or concerns, I certainly have it done. When the office heard that I didn't want to have xrays this time at time of my cleaning, I was told that I couldnt visit any more and would have to find another dentist. First time in like 50 years this has happened! No other issues with previous dentists, of which there had only been a total of 2... I also got a letter in the mail that I was being dropped as a patient. Now after about a year, I am with another dentist for my cleanings and I have been warned that the crown (which is only about 2.5 years old) needs replacing - and it has to be an implant, at somewhere about $7k. (No insurance will cover any where near that and I have no dental insurance other than the standard cleanings, xrays, fillings, etc.) Apparently there is a space/pocket/divot at the gum line and this is going to decay in the future - and the only reason why it hasn't yet is because I floss 3 times a day, brush after eating anything and also rinse with mouthwash and peroxide - so I've been lucky. What a shame that my crown didn't last very long at all and that I got booted out as a patient because I wouldn't do xrays for my next cleaning visit. :-( So don't piss off the office staff by not having xrays done when requested. My original review of Arsenault/his office is below and is now removed to do this update: Switched dentists and have found the staff here to be incredibly friendly, explains everything and the same with Dr. Arsenault. A pleasure to have found a practice like this. Oh well. Have to pay the $7k to get an implant - I NEVER expected to have any issues with the crown, after all that timeframe in various dentist chairs and the expense. It is not fun and to find out that I have more expenses for something that I thought was finished and done, is a kick in the b*l@s.

Dr. Arsenault's office is the place where you will receive the best routine dental cleaning and…read morecare. My family still lives in New England, but I moved to Los Angeles a couple of years ago and have failed to find a dental office in LA that will provide quality care. Seriously, every office I have been to in LA have always tried upselling me with useless services and have even tried ripping me off by charging all kinds of extra procedures that never took place to my insurance company. With that said, I much prefer traveling 3000+ miles to Dr. Arsenault's office. The receptionists, Cindy and Diane, are so easy and pleasant to deal with. Rona, the dental hygienist, is truly the best dental hygienist I have ever encountered. She is always very thorough with the cleaning and will provide clear explanations to your questions. She is just an overall super kind and professional hygienist who really cares about her work and her patients. I also enjoy meeting with Dr. Arsenault at the end of the cleaning. He does a final check and will address any concerns you may have. Like his staff, he too, is very caring and professional. I wish there was a dental office even just HALF as good as this one in LA!

How many people are loopy enough to say they enjoy going to the dentist? And not just for the…read morenumbing meds! I'd be one of them. ;) Everyone is smiling from when you walk in, to when you walk out. Deb, at the checkout desk, has a wicked dry wit. Good laugh. She will talk your ear off if you let her. :) Many of the staff are long term employees. They obviously enjoy their jobs, and really make you feel comfortable. It's nice to have the continuity and get to know the people who are looking after you. Kids seem to feel secure there too. First started going about 11 years when we moved to the area. At the time the practice was just Dr. Haroian, sharing space in a commercial building. A few years ago he built the lovely new free standing practice almost next door, at 2 Ricker Road. (I've let the Yelp elves know the address has changed), and two other dentists joined him. Husband and wife team, Dr. Courtney, and Dr. Keith. I think Dr. Haroian is working his way towards retirement, so I generally see Dr. Courtney or Dr. Keith now, both of whom I like very much. I'm a bit more high maintenance (can't believe I just admitted to that!) when it comes to my teeth. Heavy duty clencher when sleeping/stressed. Have cracked multiple teeth over the years as a result. Even cracked a mouth guard. They regularly have to adjust my bite (how the teeth meet together when closed) since my teeth move around more than for most people. Pattie is my regular hygienist. Very thorough and gentle with the cleanings. And she does a mouth cancer screening at each visit. We both have a love of dogs, and I take full credit for introducing her to fostering dogs waiting to be adopted. ;) Her family was at a bit of a loss when their last dog passed away, but they weren't ready to commit to another dog yet. I suggested fostering and she ran with the idea. It's worked out very well for her family, and especially all the dogs they've helped find new furever families. Today she said she's fostered 25 dogs so far. She's lasted longer than I did! I talk about dogs with Kathy too, who assists both Drs. Dressler during procedures. The time flies when you're having a good chat with a drill in your mouth. :)

I had an issue pop up that needed to be evaluated by their 3D X-ray. I was able to get clarification on the issue quickly by Dr Courtney who broke it down in plain English and not confusing dental terms. I have to give a shout out also to my hygienist Shayla, who is the best I've ever had. I will definitely be telling the locals this place is awesome !!

Starts out as a very nice office seems super Nice and accommodating. However, once we get to…read morebilling things, take a completely different turn. Every single visit I paid hundreds of dollars upfront no problem because it is an estimate of what the patient responsibility is. As soon as I started getting in the EOB's from my insurance company, I could see that I was overpaying by a lot at every visit. Once this was brought up to them they told me that they had a contract dispute with CIGNA.. I tried to have several conversations with them, letting them know that their contract dispute with CIGNA should not be passed along to their patients, and I was thrown out of the office, literally in the middle of my pediatric son having treatment. I have spoken to CIGNA about this supposed disputed contract and CIGNA tells me that they are paying exactly the rates they are required to. So be very careful when you're paying upfront hundreds of dollars and make sure to check with your insurance company and make sure you're closely monitoring those EOB's when they come in. Super nice dentist turned into a complete jerk when she threw me out of the office and my pediatric son. Again, keep in mind that I have no problem paying for my fair share and every time I went into the office I paid the hundreds of dollars upfront with absolutely no questions asked! As she was berating me in the office she also stated that we were customers so that tells you everything you need to know customers equal $$ patients are only patients when they agree to blindly pay whatever they say you should. Balance billing for a dispute you have with your contacted insurance is not a patient problem.
