At one time, I used to be terrified of dentists. I had some bad experiences with some of them in my…read morelife. Lack of medication, numbing, the works. This guy here is a specialist. There's nothing he can't handle. You don't feel any pain, except for a little pinch that would last about 5-7 seconds as he shoots up your gums to numb you very well. He leaves you for about 5-7 minutes while the meds go to work. He comes back and prick you in the places where he's going to work while asking you if you feel this or that. The high powered stuff he has, you don't feel a thing!! You won't even realize after a tooth has been taken out. Now, as this place is pricey, keep in mind you're dealing with a specialist and not a general dentist. After all is said and done, he gives you a prescription for some high powered pain meds, which I love, and you will never feel any pain at all. Depending on what type of insurance you have dictates what you will pay out of pocket. However as I did say, depending on the procedure you're having can possibly run up into the thousands. If you need a specialist, check this guy out. There's nothing like a pain free specialist on your side.

They said just try them and if they dont work for you come back. Went back in December 2025 and was given to Orlando. I advised him that the plastic that dentures were made of were the cheapest plastic they could find. They irriated my mouth. Then after getting no solution after coming back there in Bethlehem 3 times, I finally resorted to Humana to assist me with this complaint. I was told by a Human Representive to return the dentures and then contact them. I did as instructed and everytime they call K2 Dental and get Erica and they give her my name, they were immediately put on hold and never came back to phone with answer. Last resort got a supervisor to contact them on 7/20/26 and the same thing happened. Beware!! They dont like to give the best customer service!!!!!

Dr. Rice reads medical journals and takes interest in new findings in dental health. 3- Patience with people who are phobic of dentists. Dr. Rice, although somewhat "dry", is an excellent dentist. He will only recommend procedures if you need them to be done, and takes the time to explain his reasoning. For example, i had a tooth with some of the dentin exposed and he explained that although filling the chip in is unnecessary, in the long run it would be wise since exposure of the sensitive part of the tooth to bacteria could increase the probability of decay. He allowed me time to consider if I wanted to do it, pressure free. Dr. Rice is a very calm dentist. He will talk you through each step of what he is doing if you have fear or anxiety about dental work. He is very logical, and most importantly I trust him as a medical professional. In my experience, he cares about his customers and takes pride in his superior craftsmanship. I go to two of the hygienists, and both are awesome! You won't get a better cleaning anywhere.

She and her awesome assistant Missi put me at ease immediately. They and the entire office staff are genuinely kind people who care about people and you feel that the minute you walk in. I have been in for procedures as well as rechecks and they are all just as helpful, caring, and accommodating whether it's a Monday morning or later in the week. Doctor Baker seems to embrace new technology and procedure changes and adjustments as they come along. I have never gotten the vibe of that old school, resistant to change atmosphere I have found in other offices. As procedures are done, Dr. Baker explains what she is doing and is continuously conscious of my comfort level. Her assistant, Missi knows her stuff and the two of them work perfectly together. Missi is very attentive and concerned about discomfort as well. Even my chapped lips were tended too while I was there. I was also offered a blanket before my procedure. I have always left there with all my questions answered and complete instructions for my aftercare, prescriptions, and a realistic expectation of upcoming pain levels and duration. I also have the Dr.'s cell phone in case I have any issues. I would prefer to not have dental work done at all, but since that's not an option I feel blessed to have found them. This is a great doctor with an awesome staff.. right down to scheduling, payment processing, and acknowledgement of your arrival and departure. If I could I would give them more stars. Just had my tissue graft surgery with Dr. Kirkland yesterday, and the reviews about this office and…read morestaff are spot on. To backtrack, my consultation with Dr. Kirkland was a few weeks ago, and as they say, first impressions, are lasting. In this case it was very positive, and I was very impressed with the office. I was greeted warmly at check in, and they offered bottled water in the waiting room. After I waited for a few minutes, Lynn called me in, who is one of the office's Surgical Assistants, and she also greeted me warmly, and gave me a tour of the office. The office is NICE! It has a super tranquil energy, is very clean, and the rooms where you're treated face a wooded area! - it actually feels more like a yoga or meditation center! After I was given a tour, I was taken to Dr. Kirkland's office, which is a glass haven!, and asked to wait (oh, and I was given a new patient gift at this point too, which um, never happens in a Dentist office! Loved it!). There was a menu of add ons I was able to review while I waited (add ons for surgery like an eye mask, ear phones, etc., that you could request to make the experience more pleasant). When Dr. Kirkland came in, she was very nice and really took the time to find out how I like to receive information, so should could communicate information in the best way for me. After we spoke and talked through what I had been advised by my dentist, Dr. Allen Bowns, then we went into the exam room and she took a look herself. She confirmed what they believed I needed, which was tissue graft surgery for my receding bottom gums. I really REALLY appreciated the time she spent with me to explain what the surgery would do - my options of using my own tissue or donor tissue, and what to expect with recovery. I did not feel rushed and I felt like I was armed with information to make the best decision for me. I also did not feel pressured to schedule an appointment, but I was explained that in my best interest, it would be beneficial to consider having it sooner so the gums did not get worse. During the appointment, actually I think even before!, I had already made up my mind that I was going to do it. After my consultation wrapped, I told Dr. Kirkland I would like to make the appointment and scheduled the appointment for yesterday. So to the surgery! I had the surgery yesterday and a good friend of mine went with me for moral support (thank god for great friends!). I went ahead and paid at check in (at the consultation they do a good job reviewing payment options with you so you know what to expect and what to budget for). I took 1/2 a star off of this review because at check in yesterday they quoted me a different amount than what they quoted me at my consultation, but thankfully we got it resolved quickly, and it wasn't a bad experience. It just added a little stress to an appointment where I did already have a bit of anxiety going in. But they were very nice and professional while we figured it out! The surgery itself was for a surgery, really great! Lynn was THE best and did a great job prepping me on what to expect and reviewing all of the post recovery things to know and medications I'd be taking, and she spoke clearly to me and to my friend - who was awesome taking notes! I did take another 1/2 star off here too because she was surprised when I did not take one of my medications before surgery (Ibuprofen 600). Apparently I was supposed to get medication from the pharmacy before my appointment, but when Dr. Kirkland's office called me to get my pharmacy information, they didn't advise me to do this, so I didn't know. Thankfully Lynn had a back up, and I was given Motrin to take on the spot before surgery. They used laughing gas during the surgery (HIGHLY RECOMMEND, it's awesome!), and the surgery itself was super quick. I chose to bring my iPod and I think I listened to 4 or 5 songs, that's it!, and then the surgery was done! The laughing gas totally relaxes you and with the novocaine they put in your mouth, you barely feel anything and it's super comfortable. The whole appointment from check in, to prepping, and surgery - I was in and out in less than 90 minutes. I have my 2 week check up coming up. Right now I feel great. The medication has helped with pain and discomfort and I am hopeful that the gums will recover soon so I can eat normal food and be done with a mushy and liquid diet! No bueno! But I felt like I was in great hands, and very much appreciate Dr. Kirkland and her staff for taking such good care of me. If you have to have periodontal work, this is a great office to go to and you will be in the hands of professionals who know what they're doing and will make you feel comfortable. I highly recommend! p.s. After my consultation, I think within a week or 2, I received a handwritten card from Dr. Kirkland and team in the mail for thanking me for choosing them. Awesome customer service! :-)
