The New phones do not come with the USB-C wall charger anymore. They also changed the wire so it dont fit the block I own anymore. We tried to exchange the wire that no longer work. They told us because it is a few month old it is no longer covered. We didn't keep the receipt so it could be 8 month or 11 month. We bought the new adaptor USB-C because we can no longer charge the phone. When you sale your old phone you give it with the charger and block. However with the price of $25 each I don't keep too many extra. We had each purchase a block and one wire. I had two and one is definitely more then a few month old (past the one year) The line was not as packed today as on other days. We were able to get service in about 35 minutes. The lady was trying to push sales of more wires and blocks. Letting us know that they would be covered if we did. I was always under the impression that apple care was good for things like that. Nothing was explained it was just a hard no. We made sure to ask for the receipt to be sent via email. That way we wont lose it. Apple Win

Plus, despite being busy working on someone else's order, the person at the desk recognized that my issue was simple, and fixed it in less than 10 minutes. And the price? I left it overnight as it was in no working condition. Returned the next day to pick it up. Phone was still not ready! Waited another 1.5 hours to have it returned with a wobbly home button and damaged LCD/LED screen (which apple has quoted me $350 to repair). All they did was apologize and state they didn't know how that happened. I was asked to take it to the Mobile Klinik at St. Laurent and given a 20 dollar phone case as my screen is still not fully attached. I will absolutely not recommend any of these pop up phone repair shops. It's worth the wait at Apple.

Service is generally good, but my favourite sales associate is Grant (I think he looks like a young Hayden Christensen, but he says people tell him he looks more like Topher Grace, lol). He's very nice, patient and knowledgable. He gives you great information and good tips about your phone. I know lots of people snub Freedom Mobile because of its limited network coverage, but it works great for me because I spend most of my time in urban areas that are covered by Freedom. If you live in the suburbs or rural areas you may end up roaming. I'm on a discontinued plan, but I get unlimited Canada calling, unlimited texts, unlimited data (although only 2GB is at full speed, after that it's slower), voicemail, call waiting, and caller ID for less than half the price of other providers. I love Freedom Mobile (although I still think of them as Wind), lol.

I was also able to refer a friend who was in need to access a Mac to reformat files. Amin was able to help her and make a potentially complicated issue very simple. I got my cartridge refilled within minutes after walking into the store. Amin was able to fix the problem when my printer at first didn't handle the refilled cartridge. The store is small, pleasant, without and 'entertainment' humming away in the background. Amin is friendly, courteous and helpful. If a problem cannot be fixed at this location, the device will be taken to their main location at Billings Bridge. I am grateful to live walking distance from this store.

Unfortunately, the computer system went down and we had to wait a couple of hours to have everything done. It certainly wasn't the fault of the staff. Abdul and the store manager, Sarah( I believe she is the manager) were absolutely fantastic! They felt terrible about our having to wait, offering to buy us food and drink. While waiting for everything to be done, I noticed Sarah and another of the staff speaking with a young man who clearly had an intellectual disability. I was blown away by how kind and patient Sarah and the other staff member were to this individual. That so rarely happens in our world. In the end, all five or six employees were helping to get our new phones ready for us. I was blown away by the service! Bravo to Sarah, Abdul and the entire staff at the Source in the Rideau Centre!! And do you know what we discovered? Apples are not oranges! We were not getting the best value for our money out of the last plan we had on 1 phone, and we were able to compare phone and data plans for 3 or 4 different companies (Rogers, Fido, Bell, and 1 other that is the subsidiary of Bell - is it Verison, I think?) This way, we found a better plan than we had at a more reasonable price. PHEW! Yeah, I like this multi booth idea a LOT! The clerk who served us really knew her stuff. The only and biggest downer for me was that it took sooo long to get all this sorted out. I can't blame only the clerk though! It was easy enough to compare everything, but it's a lot to absorb. In the end, we are both happy. Great after-sale service too: we were shopping here on a Friday, and there was a weekend special that came up starting the Saturday, so the clerk called us back to let us know that she could throw it in!
