All I can address is Sunset beach, as it is the only place in the park we visited. There are 5 cabanas on the beach that you can rent. However, if you don't want to pay to rent the cabana there are plenty of shade trees to set up under. So bring that hammock and relax! The beach is undead a sandy beach and it is safe to walk barefoot on as there is not any glass. Yay! We had a kayak and were able to use it right off the beach area. If you're in the city and need a place to go on the weekend you should check it out. Just remember, although a sand beach this is not Florida, this is Oklahoma. For Oklahoma this is a nice beach area

They have a…read morewalking trail that's .67 miles around the park, great sidewalks and some shaded spots, it was 2:30 when I walked. Just be aware of the Canadian geese, they had new babies (my visit was in May) so they're a bit squaky. No one chased me, thank goodness- although that may have made my walks time shorter if I ran. I got over 25 zone minutes on my Fitbit, that's a win! Living healthy is a struggle but I try to fit it in between restaurant reviews!!

There's a walking path, playgrounds, frisbee area, places to sit down and nice bridge over the water to walk. If you're a dog owner, be aware that not all dogs are on a leash. Other visitors let their dogs run all over the place with no concern for other people, other dogs, or kids.
