The camp is tucked down hill in a canyon. One of the best things about this place is--- NO CELL PHONE RECEPTION! You must go up the huge hill to get any. (YES!) There is a ton of cabins, so cute, old, red and quaint! And then there is a new conference area with rooms, a kitchen, a living space, private and public bathrooms. The room I shared had three beds, two twins and a full. A ac, a bathroom with a shower, no tvs! The hall to the rooms have skylights and natural light flows in during the day. The end of the hall, is a door to outside, and faces a canyon wall. The new area is surrounded by the canyon, which is really cool!! Free wi-fi as well for those who need to stay connected to Facebook! The left of the building (when your facing it) has a cute little red gazebo tucked away, which is really nice for meditation. Like I stated earlier, there are other places to say here. I'm assuming for the kiddos who come camping, which in glad I don't stay in their, as I peeked they looked very uncomfortable. The grounds had a pool, playground, meditation labyrinth, tiny chapel, a rope wall, and a short hiking trail to a cross overlooking the camp. I saw deer, and a ton of wild turkeys! So very very nice. Another nice thing is it is 20 mins away from the town of Hinton and the Grand Canyon state park! So after the retreat I took a short detour and explored those areas. VERY VERY NICE, I would highly recommend for those planning a event, (wedding! Retreat! Family reunion!) very relaxing.

Right behind the gas station, it's got it's own parking and is fenced for both large and small dogs. Each park is about size of an Olympic pool, with enough room for them to run but not enough to wear you out if you have to go chasing after them when it's time to go. The parks were super clean, with a picnic table for people and some logs and rock formations for the dogs to sniff. They were about a fifty fifty mix of grass and dirt, with no sticker burrs to worry about.

Today was corn maze day. Both the husband and I have never been, not surprising for me but somewhat stunned that he's never experienced it. P Bar Farm's corn maze ad kept popping up on ny FB and that's how I chose it even if we may be a little old for such activity. We showed up just before noon this past Saturday and it looked like it has just started getting busy. There were children running around laughing and jumping up and down on the big float thingy-me-bob off to the side. People leaving with pumpkins tucked under their arms. Families pushing little ones in strollers. Lots of excited voices from kids. It really was such a happy place. We spent a good 30-45 minutes wandering inside the maze I would say. Found clues 1 and 2 and somehow found 6 afterwards and had to backtrack to try and find what we'd missed. Found number 4 and then gave up. Hahahahaha ... We'll have to go back next year to find 3 & 5 I guess. Lots of fun. A lovely way to create memories with the little ones as well as friends and loved ones. Go if you haven't been, don't be behind like us! Admission was $12 per person and free for 3 and under.

I also like that the temperature was comfortable and the air was not filled with smoke! The house shoes were very comfortable, fit in my size, and they had a great selection of bowling balls in various sizes. I like having a big thumb hole and had no trouble finding a ball that worked great. We had a couple people in the group who weren't interested in playing a second game. They had no trouble keeping entertained in the arcade area. For those with a curve, I don't know how often they oil the lanes, but I loved whatever pattern they had laid down. I have a big hook and had no trouble hitting consistently over a couple games...even while making adjustments. (No dry swings into the gutter!) We only had one, small incident with the pinsetting machines and it was resolved very quickly. The staff was very friendly and quick to help or answer any questions. Our group had a great time and I'm very interested in looking into some of the leagues starting up there soon.

I have ridden a bunch of Arianna's horses and they are all absolutely amazing. I love all of the different horses quirks. I was pretty much going and riding with Arianna every weekend while I was in Oklahoma for work. She made me feel like family and was genuinely excited to see me each time I came. I can't thank her enough for the amazing experience. I know that anytime I am nearby in the future I will definitely stop by to go riding. I travel for work between Clinton and Edmond. I normally stop at this travel center for a recharge…read moreon my Tesla and sleep and buying 4-5 cups of coffee and $2.50 breakfast. I have been this since they opened in Feb 2025. Something I would pay for a $7 shower for emergencies. Well today, September 15, 2025. I was asked to stop parking in the RV parking lot which has never used since their grand opening. I am the only one using the RV parking lot. The manager wants me to park in front of the store and use the charger for people that are not camping. When I'm visiting this travel center I'm normally camping in place for about 12 hours a day. This should grant justification to park in the RV parking lot and hook up. But because the manager felt indifferent about this, I will start using Cherokee Trading Post gas station and KOA El Reno site to rest and shower. Don't understand why they are pushing people away that can help them by word of mouth advertising and increasing their reputation in turn increase their revenue.
