Nice looking casino for Alabama. I didn't stay at the hotel but did eat in the Fire Steakhouse. The steakhouse has excellent food and service. The casino host comp'd my meal which was a nice surprise. They also had a promotion where you get $10 in free casino play just for eating in the steakhouse. We got the $10 gaming credit and a free tee shirt even though our meal was comp'd! The casino is a little smoky but hey this is a casino not a nursery school. I didn't see a waitress to partake of the free drinks while playing but then again we weren't looking that hard since we just had dinner. The casino only had video slots. They seemed to payback decently and I left with a small profit. The casino wasn't crowded on Tuesday night but some of the regulars told me that it is much more crowded on the weekends. The casino currently offers 1 and 2 cent machines that when you play max bet wagers a total of 2 or 3 dollars per spin. Some machines have progressive jackpots. The casino folks told me they are currently forbidden by law to have any table games but they expect that once the current governor's term limit expires that table games will be legalized. read more

Got in late and were greeted w very friendly staff at registration we got to our room after a very long drive. The room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable w crisp white sheets and comfortable down pillows. The ambient lighting was soothing and room was decorated nicely. There is a smoking and a non-smoking casino. the taste of buffet Is $24 for an adult an extra six dollars if you want a pound of Alaskan King crab legs. there is an amazing amount of food on the buffet. Everything I had tasted good. No complaints about the food. The rooms were really nice we had a king bed: The mattress was a little soft for me but some people would probably love it. There's a swimming pool and a hot tub outside but it was still too cold in February. There is an outdoor amphitheater where there's concerts in warmer weather. There is an arcade and a movie theater. The grill restaurant is a order off the menu place and it was really good for breakfast. If you're a first-time player the casino you get a $10 coupon off of food order any of the restaurants. Just don't bother. The casino is deliberately confusing in its layout. No table games. They told us everything was open, they lied. No coffee shop, the buffet was "temporarily relocted," Limited in its food selection and worse than a hospital cafeteria. The steak house requires reservations way in advance. The buffet was godawful, and the only options are fast food by the interstate. Forget about a decent cup of coffee or breakfast. In our case we had some folks in the room next door fighting until nearly midnight before they got kicked out. So, no good sleep either. The movie theater could have been the highlight, if not for the fact that the popcorn was burnt badly and had no butter. In a parking lot for thousands of cars they had about eight handicap spots. This review is regarding my experience at the Buffet. The staff from purchase to beverage service to buffet line stocking was very friendly and helpful. They were attentive. The space was very clean and well maintained. The Buffet was very extensive. If you don't find something to eat, it's your fault. The Sushi looked good but I had filled up on all the southern food items that I don't get as a Northerner. The various monitors indicated that they have different entrée options on different days. Worst hotel/casino in the United States of America. I checked in on Sunday December 26, 2021, and asked for a roll away bed for my child. When I checked in there were no rooms available so the front desk attendant stated to come back at 06:00 pm to receive my keys and the roll away bed would be in the room already. When I received my room key the roll away bed was not inside of my room. I called the front desk multiple times in regards to the roll away bed and the stated it would take another 2 hours which is mind boggling. I was finally able to receive the roll away bed at 11:00 pm. The excuse I was given is the laundry truck arrived late which isn't my problem. As an employee at a hotel in Las Vegas this is unacceptable as a manger you should have an ample amount of supplies just in case things don't go according to plan. I also went with my son to watch Sing 2 and was charged an adult price for a 6 year old. When I asked the manager why I was charged 2 adult tickets she stated that the price is the same for everyone. How are you going to charge a kid for an adult price when they are a kid. I would advise everyone to pass by wind Creek Casino and visit a real Casino in Las Vegas. The service Wind Creek offers is horrible if you don't have enough staff minimize your operations so your patrons won't suffer. read more

My review is in reference to the steak house inside wind creek. My girl friend and I had our meal there due to us having a 10$ Voucher to eat anywhere inside. We wanted the buffet but the smoke from the casino goes straight into that area due to it being open to the casino. Honestly the smoke is so unbearable and loud that I don't know how anyone would enjoy a meal at the buffet. Yet we had the steakhouse food and OMG what a meal! The service was beyond amazing! Our waitress (Helen) was simply beyond perfect! We also were given complementary roses at the end of our meals!! So worth the money at this place! The food was great, the smoke was pretty much undetectable in there which was also GREAT ( I have bad allergies and I felt like crap the whole time inside the actual casino). This was your typical Alabama Casino in which you legally only play Bingo during your slot play. If you watch the video Bingo card when you get a Bingo, your slot lines will pay off. We hit up Wind Creek's casino as a pit stop on our road trip. Now the interior is clean and the employees I dealt with were polite but the entire place seemed dead and depressing. It was almost all retirees (granted it was a week day afternoon) punching brightly colored buttons and sucking on their favorite cigs. I felt weird wondering among the slot machines and getting funky looks, I'm guessing because I didn't have graying hair or a walker. My parents and my mom's cousins had fun, I guess. I just wondered up to the bar to pay $3.75 (which would have been free had I been gambling) for a watered down drink in a 10 oz plastic Dixie cup. I love this place. Making my 4th trip on Saturday to see Huey Lewis & the News in concert. Saw Sara Evans and Martina McBride this summer. Joined the players club after a last minute trip to Mobile for Mardi Gras for no particular reason. Great deal, dropped a bit of money on the first trip and now I get comped for show tickets, hotel rooms and food, by being in the Club. The only issue I have is when I want to go to a concert they never have hotel rooms available. We have ended up staying off property at the Holiday Inn Express. The first time we stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. Rates were excellent at $99 per nite, and the room was AWESOME! We dined in the Fire restaurant the first time, pricey but so worth it. Christmas dinner at the buffet was a huge disappointment. We were there when it opened and it took forever to get seated. The manager Steven was rude. Even though the buffet had just opened a lot of the food was cold. We were told they would have traditional Christmas dinner starting at 4 pm for 19.95 and it was 24.95. Absolutely displeased at the buffet. The Italian looked and tasted like a regular frozen pizza, no pasta... Nothing. The lack of protein in the other stations was also a concern. Apparently they are more carbs than veggies, fruits, and proteins. We will never eat there again. Even the salad station only had the white part of iceberg lettuce.... Where is the leafy green?!? This hotel and casino offers lots of different entertainment . There are several places to eat, a movie theater, bowling alley, arcade and other options. The only part of the complex I have tried was the casino and it is pretty much like all casinos. It appears to be clean and well maintained . My big complaint is the cigarette smoke which you can smell from the front door which is a long way from the casino floor. In the actual casino it is even worse. We went to the buffet for Christmas dinner. We got there when they opened for dinner. The line didn't even start moving until they had been open for ten minutes. As we were paying to go in, the manager, Stephen Alfred, told my sister to move so someone else could get to the counter. We weren't even done paying. The only turkey they had was smoked. Half the food was cold even though they had just opened. Some of the shrimp had heads and some tasted like bleach. The waitress shoving between tables and rubbing her rear on our table instead of walking around. We were told that the traditional Christmas dinner started at four and was $19.95 and it was $24.95 and no mashed potatoes . I would like to compliment our waitress, Mary. I've been going to Wind Creek Atmore since last year July 2019 and I have to be honest, it's a great place to stay & enjoy the weekend at. The rooms are clean & the food is decent. They have great amenities to take advantage of. Sometimes the machines are tight and other times you can win a little. The worst part is I've became a delight card member early on after I started playing last year and until today, I never received a game host. I spent so much money at this casino and at least I could be more appreciated by providing me a host to help me with whatever assistance I need regarding events, etc. Every time I inquire if I will be receiving a host, their response is they will contact you based off of your rate of play. My parents received a game host and they are the same status as I am. I think I've played enough and lost enough and I'm sitting at the delight card status which is the 2nd highest you can achieve at Wind Creek in about a 3 month timeframe. To me I think thats enough to show how much I've put in this casino in such a short period of time. I think they should treat all their customers the same (depending on their membership status) and provide the same benefits to everyone and not just a select few. By doing so, that'll make customers wanting to come back and believe in the membership rewards that is entitled to you. read more

Being from Atmore I almost feel a little biased but I have that special brutal truth telling quality that people "adore" lol. WindCreek is a great place to kick back and let loose ANY day of the week! They do everything but give your losses back. A casino with a small country hometown spirit! Amazing, right? No traffic. No headaches. Just go in, kick your shoes off in your amazing room (ask for the rooms with a view of the fountain. The surmise is amazing on that side) then go down and grab a steak at the Fire (OMG! We visited this casino for the first time yesterday and it might be our last time. It was very small, which I guess isn't a bad thing, but...it's a smoking casino and if you don't smoke, its very bad! They have a very small room with hardly any slot machines in it,which is non-smoking, and the rest of the casino is smoking. In my opinion, it should be the other way around. The ventilation is very bad also, we ate at the buffet (which was good), but couldn't enjoy our meal because its not closed off from the smoky casino and the buffet is also filled with smoke! My husband went to one of the bars to play the games and have drinks, and the bartenders were very rude! He sat there for 10 minutes and was never acknowledged and had to ask for service! When we first got there, we waited in a long line to get a players card, and then found out that the person that gave it to us, didn't know what he was doing, and hadn't issued it to us correctly and so we had to wait in a long line again, just to get it fixed! If you're looking to gamble, look elsewhere. It's a giant circular gambling room with nothing but slots. There's no blackjack or card games of any sort. There's a small nonsmoking section and it's also filled with slots. Decided to spend my usual $5 on the 25 cent machines to screw around, along with an extra $10 for a total of 60 credits or whatever. Won absolutely nothing. This is unbelievably bad and the return is probably pathetic to nonexistent. Looking through the other reviews here other people seem to have the same feeling. Usually when you walk around a casino you can actually hear lots of clanging from machines spitting out pity points and score a few yourself, but not here. Also worth pointing out is that very few of their machines are the oldschool mechanical ones which I prefer for the mechanical levers which at least have some semblance of charm versus the depressing digital ones that only offer a button. Honestly you'd be better off playing at the casinos along the Mississippi Riverwalk area. The only upside is that like many casinos down south, they offer complimentary sodas on tap, and this place had coffee too. As for the interior, it's pretty budget oriented and there's not much to look at. They have a nice looking fish tank with some tropical fish, as well as a bowling alley, cinema, and arcade but these were all abandoned save for the employees milling around. Another thing is this place absolutely reeks of cigarette smoke. A little is expected but this place takes it to another The cashier here was also giving me some attitude and being rude and confrontational in general, and gave me a short lecture on the difference between a cell phone and a home phone.
