    Breakfast with Grandma!

Little did we know that this would be the last time my mother was out and about with us; shortly after this visit she fell and broke her hip. This precipitated a long convalescence that further accelerated her demise. As a memory, though, this was a great place to be at, just down the road from her neighborhood. She loved her Mickey Waffle! So glad to have this memory of her time with us!

Great ambience. Delicious food and presentation. Key lime stuffed waffles with berries was just the right amount of crunch and tartness. French toast was delicious with bananas and the sauce was . Happy they had POG juice as well!

We have enjoyed each meal at the Wind & Waves Grill. The food has been awesome and each serves has been superb - Muriel from Palm City, Florida has been especially a wonderful server at dinner and we highly recommend her- she's a local who has spent her whole life in the area. We have enjoyed the food and fellowship and rest/relaxation on our visit! Until we meet again!!!!

Great place to eat when you are by the pool or beach, or simply do not want to leave the resort. The staff is friendly and the food is served fast. There are also nightly dinner specials. This is a must stop whenever we are at Disney's Vero Beach Resort.

This is the only restaurant on the DVC resort. They offer a seasonal plant based plate as well. Disney relies on Impossible mostly for their plant based options. We had such kind and caring service. We are happy with our meal here. Once a year we get a steak and this was the night. We ordered New York strip and it was delicious and well prepared. Great job. The seating feels a little quick service-esque so they can do better to make this nicer. But otherwise this was way better than I anticipated.

I recently visited the Wind and Waves Grill at the Disney Resort this Tuesday. The restaurant was clean and cool (temperature), with basic but classic decor. The service was friendly and adequate. The menu had some decent options. However, this restaurant is not ideal for fine dining. If I returned, I would stick to simple choices like salads, sandwiches, and flatbreads. I ordered a steak, and it was overcooked. The sides that came with it were also overcooked. It almost seemed like my dinner had been microwaved. The beef was of average quality at best. I ate half the steak and skipped the sides. My companion ordered salmon, and hers was also overcooked and just okay. The bread pudding was the highlight of the meal. It was fantastic, sweet, and a very healthy portion. I enjoyed that dessert a lot. I would come back here for lunch, breakfast, or a casual meal like a burger or flatbread. If you want fine dining, steak, or seafood for dinner, there are better options in the area.

We've eaten here several times when staying at Disney's Vero Beach resort. It's located not too far from the lobby and has a nice open feel with a dramatic A-frame ceiling. For this stay, we had reservations via Open Table. We enjoyed two dinner and two breakfasts at Wind & Wave. Each visit, we had lovely service. The servers were friendly, helpful, and attentive. (Disney charm like you experience at Walt Disney World.) If I had to choose, I prefer breakfast over dinner, but dinner was delicious as well. Breakfast has my fave plate ever, the Mickey waffles with key lime curd. Hands down the best and one of the reasons I stay at the resort! The grits are phenomenal! So much so, I had a cheddar version of them with shrimps for dinner---so good! For dinner, don't miss out on the crab and corn fritters. A must! We skipped dessert, but there's a little shop nearby and you can enjoy Mickey bars. Coming here is like a visit to the World but without the sore feet. Highly recommend Wind & Waves!

We came here for the Character Breakfast on Saturday Mornings. Overall it was a fun stop, the kids absolutely enjoyed the character interaction even though it was only goofy and Pluto they did a good job! The servers were all great, and they seemed to have the system down. We sat by the windows and it was a beautiful view. Overall we would come back, we were unable to get other reservations for our time at the resort but every time we walked by it didn't seem super busy so I'm not sure why that is.

Such a cute restaurant, bright and airy. We were there for breakfast. Our server was great and the food came out quickly, hot and exactly as ordered. The key lime waffles were amazing, I will definitely be back for them!

This place was good. The food and ambiance and service were all good. But there just was something about the place that didn't seem to quite hit the mark. The food felt premade and not made fresh, and the decor seemed a little outdated. The dining room could use some definition rather than just sprawled out. But if you're visiting the resort and need to grab some dinner, it's not bad

Fantastic dinner with the lady at Wind & Waves. We both had steaks and the oak fired filet & new york strip were amazing! Next time I get over there, I don't know how I'd be able to order anything else. We started with the french onion soup each, and we loved that too. Our server Muriel was fantastic as well. Very clean and what you would expect from Disney all around in my opinion. I can't recommend enough. As a local, I don't know why it took me so long to get over there!

Character breakfast Saturday Morning It was good and fun time. Wish they would have had Mickey and Minnie or Donald but Pluto and Goofy were fun. They had the crowd dancing and laughing. my son brought his porgs so they also took pictures. The food was good wish it had more options very limited. The mimosa was ok I should have gone with the pog juice or coffee instead. As for a character breakfast it could have been more like a buffet or family style but nonetheless Disney fun away from Disney. We also were celebrating our anniversary and got presented a cupcake which was great. My son wanted chocolate chip pancakes and they gave him a side of small chocolate chips and he ate it like a taco. They didn't bring syrup so he ate it plane. Wish our waiter offered refills as I would have had another drink we got the mimosa and soda mid meal.

Monkfish, glazed carrots and roasted potato wedges.
    Ed S.

Food: The fish of the day was monkfish with roasted potato wedges and carrots. The monkfish was lightly breaded and fried and topped with a citrusy sauce, the potatoes were crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside and the glazed carrots were firm yet tender and slightly sweet. The shrimp and grits was filling with plump grilled shrimp, soft, creamy grits and spicy chorizo. The flourless chocolate cake was decadently rich and the vegan berry cobbler was lightly sweet, and tart with a crispy oat crumble. Substitute vanilla ice cream for the coconut frozen dessert that refused to melt. Service: it's Disney so it's friendly, attentive and efficient. Ambiance: spacious, clean and warmly lit, but the AC was cranked to arctic conditions. The light fixtures hang from Kindorf which is weird.

Omelet served with choice of home fries or grits, and biscuits or toast.

Last week we had drinks and I ordered a Margarita less OJ like I always do. It was straight sour mix on ice. Verified by 2 people at the table. I told the server that I think they forgot the tequila. She came back with the same drink and said the bar said "its because I skipped the OJ" ?? Well that would make it taste like sour and OJ wouldnt it? It still wouldnt taste like Tequila because there was none in it. Tje poor server agreed with me and apologized. She also said management will not let them freepour anymore and they are mandated to use jiggers. She said there had been several complaints about drink quality. I left the full drink , minus 3 tastings , on the table. Not only didnt they remake it, they charged me for it. Fast forward a week and we had friends visiting so we took the to the tiki to eat lunch. Everyone had mahi , 2 fried, one blackened. The blackened dish was cut up like french fries and drier than dirt. No one ate it. The fried plates were terribly fishy. I eat fresh mahi routinely and this wasnt fresh by any means. Im afraid we are going to have to find somewhere else to visit. There just aint much good around there anymore but the views, the music and the conch fritters ( but even they werent that great last time)

We live just down the road in Vero Beach, so discovering a neighborhood tavern with this much charm practically in our backyard was a real win. We had already eaten lunch at Nini's Cuban across the parking lot, so we stopped in just for a beer. Within minutes we were pulled straight into the atmosphere. Nancy, the bartender and proprietor, is the kind of host every small tavern dreams of. Warm, funny, and completely at ease, she makes newcomers feel like long‑time regulars while keeping the whole place running smoothly. The beer selection is far better than you would expect from a cozy local spot. There is a rotating craft lineup that rivals bigger bars, along with the classics and a surprisingly solid wine list. We spent half our visit sipping and the other half laughing at the hilarious signs covering the walls and at the antics of a couple of regulars who clearly keep the place lively. We have not tried the food yet, but the vibe alone guarantees we will be back and we will be coming hungry. This is the kind of place where you settle in, meet the locals, and let the afternoon drift. For the record, our beer of choice that day was "Cougar Bait." It is as much fun to drink as it is to say!

From the moment I slid onto a barstool, I knew I was in for something special -- and not just because the beer list reads like a love letter to hop heads and casual sippers alike. Each pint poured is thoughtful, crisp, and refreshing, with local craft brews rubbing shoulders beside tried‑and‑true favorites. I lost count somewhere around the third flight, but honestly? Worth it. And then there's Nancy, the bartender -- sweet lord, if every tavern had her warmth and precision, we'd all be happier people. She recommended beers without braggy pretension, anticipated refills like a mind reader, and managed a perfect balance of friendly conversation and professional grace. Her service alone is worth the trip. Great food, killer beers, and a bartender who makes you feel like a VIP? Village Tavern doesn't just raise the bar -- it is the bar.

We moved to Melbourne Beach in Jan 2025 and still everything was good. Some changes in dishes we determined were just food costs cuts. This year my son and his family came and we had an early dinner. My 3 yr old granddaughter was excited to go to the shop that was usually by the hostess stand. It was relocated but now had nothing for children. The service was slow but we thought maybe it was busy since it was tourist season. The food was just fair. Last night was my birthday and of all the restaurants in town I chose Blackfins. What a mistake. Walking in was dangerously slick since they had flooding from earlier rain. We were sat in a small booth by the window. We had to walk out of the way since a dog that was a size of a horse was sprawled out on the floor. Our table was absolutely disgusting! It was dirty and sticky and the coasting of shellac had apparently gotten melted and was sticky and black. Even the seat was dirty and I ended up whipping away pieces of paper on my seat with my hands. Everything including my arms stuck to the table. It took awhile for a very young person with zero personality come to take our order. We gave him a drink and appetizer order. I was attempting to forget about how disgusting the table and the large dog was with the view. The drink that didn't have enough ice although I requested a tall glass with lots of ice arrived with the appetizer. It was good despite being served with greasy fried saltines. When I attempted to start eating a very large Woodstork was fishing on the rocks when the people with the large dog started throwing crackers at it..despite signs everywhere not to feed the birds. It then came up to the window and came too close for me to eat since it was eyeing our food. My husband sat still, told me to do so as well and was holding a knife should it attack. After 15 minutes it finally went away. Now our food was cold. We complained to the waiter but all he could offer was, "Thank you for telling me." No offer to relocate. Our main meals came. Both of our fish were way overcooked. Mine was dry and not edible. My husband's was dry but he didn't complain since my birthday dinner was basically ruined anyway. Forget the dessert I just wanted out of that dirty sticky area. So sad! I will have to find somewhere else to take me and my family.
