The self check out lady was the worst! She wouldn't help us and she yelled at me and my son.

Great selection, great prices, clean store. But can you get some friendlier checkers? Checking out seems to be an imposition.

There are boutique items, like soaps and oils, food vendors (the doughnut stand made me very sorry for my food restrictions), and local meat sellers. My faves were: The Pure Country truck, five stars hands down, selling THE BEST bacon (no sugar!) and pork tenderloin I've ever had. Melt in your mouth food. Spendy, yes, so only occasional luxury items for us, but they are an amazing sustainable pork grower and that costs. The Gianni's Fine Foods vinaigrette booth, where a very informative fella sells delicious varieties of vinaigrette's that he makes himself, including sweet and savory varieties. Montavon's berries, where we purchased a crapton of the sweetest blueberries that barely lasted us a week. So good. The market itself has a somewhat strange system in terms of cash payment: you can buy tokens with your cash to give to sellers for a one dollar fee, but since the tokens act as real cash, and you can pay with cash at the stands, why pay the fee? We look forward to regular visits during the season, and recommend it as a Saturday stop for anyone else in town.

We love the ambiance of this local farmer's market! i always find something to take home! i also…read moreenjoy seeing kids with their own booths from time to time!
