In the beginning we were thinking through things as best as we could and Mark offered his advice, but we had a semi-solid idea of what we wanted. As things progressed though, we started rely more and more on Mark's advice. He saw our vision and knew how to get us there. Lesson learned, rely on Mark's advice more, sooner. Be open to his suggestions! Tell him what you are generally trying to accomplish and then let him get you there doing his magic. Mark is honest... In the beginning we wrote a sizable check and even in the middle as we added more and more things, for which we had to pay extra, money was being exchanged, and never did he try to take advantage. He was always fair, upfront, and honest. You don't see that too often in contractors for the quality he delivers. He also went above and beyond many, many times. Here are some keys to success with Mark: - Trust the process, good things come to those who are patient - Work WITH Mark, don't be rigid... the more it's a partnership, the better the outcome will be for everyone - Communicate needs and expectations upfront clearly - Treat Mark like family - that's what he's to us now that we've gone through this process Conclusion: Wow... just wow. Not only did he do our kitchen, he did our garage, our laundry cabinets upstairs, and we had this ugly hallway nook/cave, which he filled with a beautiful floor to ceiling cabinet. All of this was done in 4 weeks (it would have been done sooner had we decided on everything we wanted upfront... we asked him a couple of times... "ohh can you do this and what about that..." Every time, the answer was... you guessed it... "Yes, of course, it's easy.") So now we have a beautiful kitchen, way more usable and functional space, drawers that save me from having to explore cavernous cabinets, and a bright kitchen that's more fitting for the theme we were going for. Man, I can't tell you how much I despised the brown cabinets and the puke colored granite that came with the house. We are taking break for the moment, but trust that we will be asking Mark to come back for our Master bath remodel at some point. Thank you Mark!

Over the years, I've worked on multiple remodeling projects both residential and commercial. I've had the pleasure (and mostly displeasure) of working with several contractors. My search for someone I could rely on ended when I found Mark. I have since done many projects with him, including my shops, my wine bar, and most recently my home. His specialty is custom cabinetry although there is not much else he cannot do. His crew is stellar, especially Picasso (painter), Mohamed (designer), Alex (carpenter), Marvin, and Armando. Most of them have been with Mark for more than a decade. I could leave my home without having to worry while they worked. Most recently, they painted my kids' bedrooms. Their job was clean, fast, and well executed. My garage cabinets look much better than ordinary garage cabinets at about the same price as those closet organizers. We were tearing out our large tub shower and making it a walk in. We interviewed about 10 companies and Da Vinci has the most comprehensive bid and some of the best pricing we found. Ron was easy to reach all along the way. His construction crew was efficient and knowledgeable. Pedro over saw the demo and install and has years of experience. He did everything to code. Pablo worked his tail off demo'ing and rebuilding our new walk in design. Jorge did the most AMAZING Tile job. It was perfection. All lines and measurements and spacing was to a tee. The Hot mop company was excellent also! The finish flooring crew came in and worked quickly and installed everything to spec. We had some plumbing issues once the demo was done and needed to do some changes to that. The Plummer who came out from the company was quite pricey so we were able to contract our own separately at a much lower rate. We used Nick from Sterling pluming. Honest and reliable and upfront with all of his pricing! The shower glass door was included in the bid. Very nice since most others had that as a separate line item. The shower door is beautiful but had a small leak in seal at bottom. The company was suppose to call us back to come and better seal it but never called us. My husband easily bought his own caulking and repaired it himself. We bought our tiles at MSI in Orange. One of the best and largest and gives all kinds of free samples. Highly recommend them. I also highly recommend picking your shower plumbing and supplies from Ferguson Plumbing . Their showroom in Irvine was GORGEOUS! And they were so knowledgeable. They take walk ins but make an apt if going on a weekend. Our shower is gorgeous and turned out to be our dream retreat. Thanks Ron!
