Rich Bodendorf was truly an exceptionally knowledgeable and meticulous professional at his craft! I was amazed at his attention to details and the way in which he took the time to point out his findings as he went through the process of doing my home inspection. He immediately brought to my attention any concerns or potential issues, as he went through the home, step by step. As promised he had my inspection report sent to me the very next morning, despite the fact that my inspection was scheduled in the afternoon. He was punctual and conducted himself very professionally. His report was well written and the pictures included were right on target. I was able to share the findings of the report with the broker with ease and comprehension. Two weeks after informing the broker of findings from the inspection report, the seller honored Rich's recommendations, giving me an entirely new roof (complete rip down/new wood under shingles). I'm really grateful to have him perform my home inspection. I strongly recommend anyone needing a home inspection to call Rich. Rest assured you will not be dissatisfied. He will do right by you and will not short cut the process. I will certainly use him in the future if and when the time comes again. Thank you Rich!!! read more

Rich is truly incredible. Without question, he is the most detailed, thorough, and careful home inspector there is. When buying a house, there are so many risk factors, and at the same time, so many questions that I have as a buyer. Rich not only carefully inspects every single crevice of a home from foundation to chimney (and everything in between), but manages to address all of my needs and personal concerns as well. He is able to do this because he is not afraid to go the extra mile to ensure that he confirms his suspicions with his own eyes. A critical eye is crucial to a successful inspection and Rich certainly has one. The output of this inspection was a well written, well documented report that kept me so well informed about every inch of the property. Believe me, it put a lot of confidence in the purchase and also allowed me to make reasonable plans for down the road in regards to appliance life expectancy and home repairs. My family is now at ease because our next home was so carefully inspected by Rich. Highly recommended. read more

Look no further! Rich is absolutely wonderful!! We needed an inspector in a pinch and he was incredibly accommodating. We HIGHLY recommend him to anyone needing an inspection. He is super nice, professional, responsive, accommodating, communicates clearly, highly efficient and effective. He was on time and super diligent inspecting an older, large residential home. He inspected every nook and cranny and knows his stuff. After, we quickly received a very detailed report (with pictures!) that we greatly appreciated as a potential home buyer. It has helped us determine how to proceed. Oh, and I must mention that Rich even followed up to see if we had any questions!! That is just awesome and shows how dedicated he is to his clients and his craft. I could go on and on with how amazing Rich is. If you need an inspector, Rich is your guy. He is the top!! If Yelp had infinite stars Rich would have them :) read more

We had a fantastic experience with our home inspection. The inspector was incredibly thorough, knowledgeable, and professional throughout the entire process. He took the time to walk us through every system in the house, explain what was important, what was minor, and what should be monitored long term. What really stood out was how honest and practical he was -- not alarmist, but also not overlooking anything. He answered every question we had and made us feel much more confident moving forward with the purchase. Even the inspector himself commented on what a great house and property it was, which says a lot coming from someone with that level of experience. The report was detailed, organized, and easy to understand, with clear photos and recommendations. We would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy home inspector. read more

Rich is a true professional. I Called Rich looking for an inspection before making going to contract on a beach home. Rich was able to fit me in the following day and went right to work inspecting the house. I followed Rich around when he poured over EVERY detail in the house. He showed me what was of serious concern and gave me valuable advice on little things. Rich even turned around to me in the bathroom and suggested that I one day change the fan switch to a timer so my kids don't have it running every day. Upon completion of the lengthy inspection, Rich had the report to me within a few hours. Rich did a spectacular job inspecting this home for potential problems and termites. He took pride in taking the time to explain every detail of the home during the inspection. I emphatically recommend WIN Home Inspection for your future purposes. read more

I have been doing business with Rich at WIN Home Inspection regarding home inspection for my house hunting adventure for last 3 years. He did 4 inspections for us, and excellent service every time. He is very courteous, professional, and thorough. He is always on time, and very detail oriented. He provided the report very same day, and it was very detailed with notes and pictures to make it easy to understand. Once we needed a re-check regarding a plumbing and related issue at one of the houses, and we trust him so much that we requested him to evaluate instead of going to a plumber. We believed that if he says it's good now, then it is good now. I wish more businesses could provide excellent, beyond satisfaction, and trustworthy service like Win Home Inspection. I would highly recommend this company for your home inspection needs. Thanks. read more

I've used WIN twice over the last few years. Both times I've received excellent service. Rich is professional & very thorough. On the most recent home inspection he took the time to point things out as he found them and not only tell me what's wrong but suggestions on how it could be corrected. He took the time to explain why if things were left as is what problems they would cause. It could be scary as he points stuff out but he's there to protect you and make sure you know what you're getting. I called and was able to schedule an inspection on short notice the next day, a Sunday. He showed up on time and I received the full inspection and termite report the same day. Two of my friends have used them and also received excellent service. read more

We have used Win to help us find a home that we can live safely in and that requires little work. Rich Bodendorf has been our inspector for the last three homes that we were interested in. He not only checks the major issues of a home but he will check every closet, the foundation around the home, every support beam , retention walls, roof, utilities, you name it, he has checked and as a result, he has prevented us from making a home buying mistake. In addition, Rich answers every question, not just during the process but after the process when we receive a very detailed report. He has taught me what to look for in a prospective home. We will continue to use Rich until we are able to find a home that is safe and meets our needs read more

Professional, Friendly, Informative, Timely, Thorough. These are just a few positive things to say about Rich Bodendorf, whom I recently had the pleasure of meeting. We used Rich's services for 2 home inspections. Considering that both times I've used him were last minute, Rich was able to promptly respond and find time to accommodate an inspection. He is extremely thorough, which can be intimidating at first, but trust me when I say it's like learning a masters course on home inspections when you observe Rich while he does his work. His experience level and knowledge of all types of homes on Long Island is incomparable. I would gladly hire him again and recommend him to others. Thanks Rich for what you do. read more

Rich of WIN Home Inspection of Bethpage was the home inspector for the home I purchased in 2014. I was so impressed with Rich's service and professionalism that I used him again for the purchase of my parent's home in 2020. Rich was happy to have both my mother and me walk through the inspection and explain both the positive and potentially problematic aspects of the house. He took his time and examined the house including the accessible but tiny attic spaces and he also got up and walked on top of the house to inspect the quality and age of the roof. Rich was also kind enough to follow COVID 19 protocols, wearing a mask and social distancing. I am always happy to recommend Rich to family and friends! read more

We are in the process of buying our second home. Rich had done the inspection on our first home and was extremely thorough we wouldn't even think of having another inspector do the inspection for an even more expensive home. Rich was so thorough again. He found a couple large ticket repairs that would be needed. We were a leading go reg-negotiate the sale price. Rich saved us tens of thousands of dollars in repairs. We are still moving forward with the sale and will have the repairs done by the businesses of our choice but at least we were able to get the repair values taken off of the sale price. We are so thankful to Rich for doing such a great home inspection for us. read more

I used Rich for two inspections. He is extremely thorough and takes his time going through every aspect of the home to help you make the most informed decision. He encourages you to come along for the inspection and will answer any questions you may have. I was unable to attend my second inspection with Rich. I trusted his report and after some follow up phone calls with him I am ultimately buying that house. I will use his report as reference to things I need to do around the house. Possibly the best asset Rich posses is he is a master in dealing with pushy real estate agents and know it all home owners. Rich just does his thing in a professional manner. read more

Rich inspected a home purchase of mine about 3 weeks ago. From the second he arrived I could tell he was all about business. He is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of the home inspection process and goes above and beyond. Rich will even go above and beyond and point out small adjustments which won't change the purchase of a home but may still help you as a homeowner. There was snow on the roof when Rich came by and he came back on his own time a few days later to properly inspect the roof. I had my report in only a few hours after the inspection. Rich is a man who clearly takes pride in his business and how he conducts himself. 5 stars read more

Rich from WIN Home Inspections was wonderful. He was very flexible with timing and was even able to accommodate a last minute change. He was very thorough and inspected everything from the walkway, siding, plumbing, to even walking on the roof and crawling into the narrow attics. His report was provided in less than 12 hours and was incredibly detailed. There were clear explanation and details on everything he looked at with pictures as well. We walked around with him. Rich explained everything and helped us understand the house. I would highly recommend Rich for all your inspection needs. read more

Our experience working with Rich at WIN Home Inspection couldn't have been better. He answered my call right away, looked up the listing of the home we were having inspected and got us scheduled right away. The house is a major fixer upper project and he was so thorough going through the home. We followed him around the whole time asking tons of questions which he answered clearly and knowledgeably. He sent us the extremely detailed report the same day and has followed up with us since to make sure we didn't have any other questions. He was so great to work with and highly recommend him! read more

Rich is an excellent inspector. We called on a Monday and was able to schedule him to come out that Thursday. It rained the entire morning of the inspection but that did not deter or slow him down. Rich is meticulous and thorough. He does a great job of explaining everything to you in a clear manner and was very patient answering all of our questions. He climbed up on the roof on a very wet day and his report was extremely detailed and enclosed everything that was already discussed with us. We highly recommend him and would surely use him again if ever another home inspection is needed. read more

Rich is great. I had two homes inspected with him. He was responsive and accommodating. The report was very thorough, capturing all aspects of the homes. I attended one of the inspection, he explained what he was looking for and if he was concerned about something he found. He would show me the item and explain to me the ramifications of leaving it unattended. Since it was me first home purchase, he provided tips on maintaining different things like the Cesspool, boiler and oil tank.
