You can pay with cash at the kiosks near the pumps or by credit card at the gas pumps. The gas nozzle hoses aren't the best and for most vehicle makes, especially the newer ones, the nozzle will not stay in so you must hold the nozzle and handle the entire time pumping gas. It's inconvenient. The store is small but very clean and tidy, ample selections of drinks, coffee, snacks and fountain items. I believe there is a fast food counter inside. The employees here, especially all the ladies in day shift 7 days a week are AWESOME! Friendly, helpful, greetings with a good morning, ask if I've found everything, etc. I couldn't ask for better customer service and these ladies represent the am pm brand well. When you do ask a question or need help, employees often seem bothered or inconvenienced. The expectation appears to be that customers use self checkout, which is fine, but it also feels like staff want to interact as little as possible. While their coupons and rewards can stack and be beneficial, I mostly keep my visits to a bare minimum, due to the poor customer service. I stop in only when I need something quick because the stores are close, convenient, and small enough that I can get in and out easily. That said, if CVS does not currently offer new hire and ongoing customer service training, they really should. Improving how customers are acknowledged and assisted would go a long way for both customer loyalty and overall work culture.
