Engine light, exhaust system-see dealer light on

My Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel. Was towed here It wouldn't start. Jeremy in service says it needed a new alternator and batteries. My dodge has a bully dog delete system on it. Jeremy calls asks if I want all electrical gone through he says it'll be $700. They literally just did a factory reset, ruining the set that was put on it, Jeremy tells me they didn't reset it, it must have done that itself when the battery died.... Really? I wasn't born yesterday. Does your phone loose all its settings when it's battery dies? They told my power of attorney who was their point of contact while I was coming home, that it was done and ready to go, and the bill was $1400. I paid that. I got a ride, luckily she stayed, because at first they couldn't find the keys (which happened in the course of the 2 week repair itself; in fact they couldn't find the truck. They told my POA that it wasn't on the lot. 48 hours past and SHE had to call them back and ask if they'd found it!) They found the key, had ME go find it in the lot, which for the past 20 years they'd always drive it up front to you. You know "Wilson's where we treat you like family" I saw why, they hadn't bothered to even rinse it off let alone wash or vacuum it.. it sounded horrible, the 'exhaust system service-see dealer' light was on as well as the check engine light. It literally sounded like it had no exhaust. I was so frustrated at this point. I felt like I was shoved out the door. Jeremy came out after his two phone calls that were clearly more important. He saw the condition of the truck, mud and wet dog/smoke smell in the inside (I don't smoke and my dog hasn't rode with me in years) the exterior like it'd been at a junkyard for 10 years. Zip ties were hanging off the wiring under the dash! He said those were there, that he'd have his boss get involved. I got in the car with my friend and completely burst in tears. 2 hours went by, Brian (Jeremy's boss) called me. Said he couldn't find the controller, bug guard had also been snapped off but he was quick to note "his guy" wrote it was like that but oh could Brian order me a new one. He said he couldn't diagnose the exhaust because He says those bully systems reset themselves, remember the cell phone reference? Not possible. I called the tech, because I'm definitely not perfect. He said that's not a thing. The computer system is set to what it's set to, a factory reset would throw the code-I called Brian and explained my new knowledge. Now it's 'I can't legally diagnose it, it's deleted' I caved, feeling defeated like I was going in circles. Would you let a vehicle leave the lot that looked like mine? He said 'we don't wash and vacuum unless it's asked'..... sooooo not true! In fact that's why my family has used them so long because of the service. The driving it up front and looking good from a fresh wash and vacuum--representation right? My friend needed to get back to her own life Jeremy said 'my mom' told him to do the batteries and alternator and then stop.... He was referencing my POA, which is my friends mom, so my friend gets on the phone, 3way calls her and she absolutely did not say that. I'd been away 2 years, the point was to have a running truck when I got home, a point she explicitly got across to him. What started at 9am was now 2pm. Brian called around 4:30pm said it was ready to go, and that the air controller must've never been in the truck when it arrived. He said those were manual air bags only, like I'd lost my mind that I didn't know what I'd bought and never heard a compressor kick on when I put my key in my truck. I called Les Schwab, to confirm again I'm not perfect; because it was their personal kit that they installed. They said it absolutely has a controller. So I conceded I'd just pick it up and get it to Les Schwab, now in a frustrated daze I'm now having to get my truck to two other shops. I got there at 5pm a $50 Uber ride to add to the day. It was washed this time, and up front. I started it 'exhaust light on, engine light on, and now service 4x4 on' I started to drive, it sounded like all the springs were cut and I was dragging them on the ground!!!!!! I circled the parking lot, got out had Jeremy ride with me, he heard it right away. You think this is safe? I have to get on hwy 34 to Lebanon. He said no he wouldn't drive it, he tried texting Brian who couldn't be bothered he was already at home. I asked was there a rental I could use, he made an 'effort' to see and said no. So I clarified, very upset again, Wouldn't that make this a liability at this point?" Jeremy's words 'they were done making money off me'

The Tundra we bought at Wilson motors

Cody was very helpful when we traded in our 2014 Tundra and he arranged to have several things swapped over to our new truck since I had just bought new tires and wanted them keep them. Overall had a very pleasant experience at Wilson Motors. Even though we were Duck fans in Beaver country we were treated well.

Before coming in, I was told I was fully approved and reassured the process would be transparent and different from typical dealerships. Once I arrived, that approval immediately became conditional, with new requirements introduced that had never been mentioned beforehand. While I was there, financing terms changed multiple times, including the interest rate and the age of vehicles I could supposedly purchase. At the same time, vehicles that had been discussed in advance were suddenly described as unavailable, and I was pushed toward options I had already said I did not want. Throughout the visit, vehicles were presented only in terms of maximum monthly payments, while repeated requests for out-the-door pricing were declined. This made it impossible to verify pricing, compare options, or assess the deal independently. The common thread was a deliberate avoidance of fixed terms combined with escalating payment pressure. I ultimately left without signing because the process was misleading, coercive, and completely inconsistent with what had been represented before I arrived.

He provided us with several options, even having one of his guys, Sawyer, spend 2 to 3 hours pulling a car out of one of their other locations (because it was buried in a sea of auction cars) for us to look at/ test drive. We negotiated a very fair price and he even offered to help with financing in house at a VERY fair interest rate, if we didn't have cash on hand. Never once was there any pressure from him to make a purchase or to choose one vehicle versus the other. He was open and honest about any cosmetic or mechanical issues that different cars might have. I've never met another used car salesman like him. We made a purchase and our very happy with the vehicle, the price, and the whole experience. He's even helping us source some tires for it. We got a little 2003 Suzuki hatchback!

She was looking online and found a couple cars she was interested in at Corvallis Toyota/Subaru. We went on a Friday night to pre-look at the cars and then went back Saturday to test drive the cars she was interested in. She chose a car and we drove it home an hour and 40 minutes later. Eric was the salesman and took good care of us, making sure that the car had floor mats and a couple other small items to make it completely perfect for her. I would recommend.

Almost from the beginning I was having trouble with steering related to the safety features, I thought, but then suddenly got check engine lights that caused me to take the car into Kendall Subaru in January, 2025. Turns out the solenoids were shot and during their inspection found all the fluids in the car were shot and needed replacement, there is a huge gash in the transmission cover and a couple other things. I didn't get all the things replaced that they suggested but spent $800 anyway. It now has no steering problems. Why isn't there a law that at least requires dealerships to inform you of service needed on the used vehicles, so that we can at least address them before it's too late. They gave me a version of them but it said there were no leaks and everything looked perfect. I let them know that the truck had a leak and if they were to fix the leak I would be interested in purchasing. Sales manager said the truck would be in the shop on the lift first thing Monday(this was Saturday). The truck was diagnosed Tuesday, one day late no big deal. They reached out to me Thursday and said they have decided they will fix it(I didn't know that was in question). They also were going to jack the price up. I said I would no longer be interested at the new price so they reverted back to the original price. Friday they said they sent it to ford and ford would be working on it that day or the following Monday. Tuesday they said it was fixed and was headed back to their lot. At this point the salesman ran my credit and I was approved for the loan. This is when he told me the truck is now on hold for me since the already put an inquiry on my credit. Right before I'm about to head to the dealership to get the truck they contact me and say the truck isn't actually done yet but I will be by Friday. Turns out the truck was done Thursday. I could not make it up there Thursday but I said I would try for Friday. Salesman is texting and calling me all day Friday while I'm at work(not typically on my phone) needing to know what time I will be there. At 2:30pm I tell him 4:45 or 5 as I get off at 3:30. An hour later the salesman says my colleague is selling it right now. After they already put a hard inquiry on my credit and told me it was on hold for me. They drug out the process for 2 weeks then sold it out from under me in 24 hours. Then they said "I can see if I can find another truck for you!" So I didn't get a truck and I will never attempt to buy from power Chevrolet Corvallis again.
