Called Josh, the owner and he arrived at our home to fix our AC during hottest day of the year…read more Prompt excellent Service !!! Extremely Honest, found a small issue with our unit and we had ice cold air within an hour of his arrival. Robert Keely Highly Recommend this Company!!!

As part of a rebuild, Bridges installed a complete Trane system and duct system at my home…read more hvac attic install was not done in place of the previous one and floor space previously used for storage was now take. Up by blower/heat exchanger/furnace. Dresser in the attic at time of install is now pinned between wall and hvac equipment and ductwork. To remove will take duct disassembly/ reassembly. exhaust pipes now run over attic entry way further limiting the already limited storage of items. One register over a kitchen window was left out of the install despite being there previously. Josh said the pressure test I asked for said it wasn't needed. It wasn't forgotten. A window was removed as part of the renovation but a register was still installed. One bedroom register previously installed center over the window was now installed offset by about 12 inches. My research has told me HVAC best practice/standard practice is registers over all windows. when the work was complete I brought up issues with temp and airflow. Airflow was not balanced and dampers were not installed on all ducts. the heatpump/blower setup was incorrect as the blower was configured for a 4ton instead of a 3ton heat pump. the trane thermostat was reading as much as 8-10 degrees off. so a temp showed 70 degrees and it would actually be 78. the calibration could only do +/- 5 degree adjustment. Josh and the gc were made aware of the issue and comfirmed a the problem but did not fix. I had it replaced at the cost of a service call to a Trane dealer specialist. and, this thermostat showing temp reads inconsistent with other measuring devices. I do think the 850xl thermostat needs a recall. It should not run so warm. Something is still wrong. our main return was whistling as air went through and josh's solution was to use pliers and bend the fins which didn't fix. returns in the bedrooms were registers not actually air grilles. the hvac system failed suddenly due to shorting issue at the relay where some bare wire from two incoming wires overlapped and we're touching. heat pump was down by 1lb of freon after install. despite the quote being for a variable speed heat pump he was going to install a 2 speed. after a bit do back and forth with him and the general contractor who hired him I got the variable speed heat pump installed with an explanation that they thought I meant variable speed was for the blower motor. correcting all these flaws in the install and design has cost me a lot in comfort, efficiency, distribution, and money to fox and added electricity costs. I am looking into duct work to install a trunk line like I had before. I wanted the Trane dealer that did my previous install to do my reno install but the general contractor told me I had to use his sub. would have been nice to have it done right the first time or have the gc and bridges fix the issues. Instead I paid out of pocket to a Trane dealer/specialist who has made several service calls to fix the issues Josh and his team created. Trane customer service did not assist in the any of the remediations made. the photos attached don't include the invoices paid to fix all these issues nor the outstanding request to install a trunk line for better air distribution. I should probably expect a few thousand. HVAC company associates that have worked on my equipment were identified in woek clothes, they dress the part and execute because the company has pride in them and train them. Josh's install team I saw did not give off a perception of potential quality. doesn't mean they couldn't. Honestly I would not have know they were just pulled off the street to do the work. There was the potential despite attire that work could be done correctly and professionally. with all these issues I feel their experience, understanding, and conscientiousness was lacking. since the house all new on the inside with upgraded windows, better insulation and more efficient higher seer equipment you would think my electric would be lower not higher - hvac is a large portion of electrical expense. josh and bridges had full control over the sizing. Duct design, and install. given my experience I do not recommend Josh/Bridges hearing and air.

Very thankful for the timely service. He was very knowledgeable and knew what could be our problem…read morejust by walking in our home and going upstairs. Very friendly and actually, as a courtesy, reconnected our pipe in the attic that the new roofing company disconnected and didn't put back together! I am glad we chose Austin for our new units.

It seems like there has been a change in service quality. Have not had issues when dealing with…read morethem in the past. Getting service scheduled was a real chore. Called on Oct 3rd for 2 of my properties. The first one needed servicing and the other one needs an entire split unit replaced. I provided the person on the phone the address, my phone number, my billing address multiple times. According to my cell phone log, I was the call 8 minutes. This person sounded very confused. I kept repeating myself. Finally I asked if I could email the information, because at this point I knew explaining the unit replacement was going to be too technical. It already took almost 8 minutes to provide the information for the service call. I sent an email and it did go through and I got a call October 6th and they needed the address for the estimate for the new unit, because the street number was not in the email. Looking back at the email, it was in the reference at the header. Also informed that they were going to try to squeeze me in at the other property. The address for the estimate was on the title for the email. Anyway, I asked if they could just respond to my email with any questions. When this person called I was driving and was not about to spend a lot of time repeating information that was already in an email. On October 9th, I had not heard from them and was wondering when my property was going to be serviced. They told me they were waiting for an email because they did not know what property needed to be serviced. I transferred to a lady that started yelling and screaming. She kept screaming over top of me. It was bizarre. I have been managing properties for 26 years and have even used them in the past. However, going through this mess just to arrange a service call is a first for me. The estimate for the new unit could have waited a week or so. However, I am used to getting things scheduled and serviced within a day or two at the latest. Not having to call almost a week later and being told they did not have the address that needed to be serviced when I spoke to the person for 8 minutes providing the information multiple times. Austins have been in the area for several years and I hope the figure out their communication issues for the sake of their business. However, I cannot deal with people that fail to convey scheduling information to their technicians, then yell, scream, and blame me for their failure.
