TLDR: I 100% will recommend KC Floorworx to EVERYONE in need of any type of new flooring!…read more Long version: I needed a last minute install of a vinyl floor in the new bathroom (long story) and no one could do it in less than 3 weeks. Fortunately I had not paid for the flooring yet so, when I was left to find someone new to do the job at the last minute, it was a stressful nightmare (had to put the plumber off for a third time- the first 2 were due to the sheetrock guys) but I wasn't out any money. After a few hours of looking up online reviews and hearing ridiculous prices from various flooring companies who couldn't do it sooner than 3 weeks out anyway, I finally stumbled across a local company that I had no idea even existed! Enter KC Floorworx! Melissa (works in the office) answered the phone and listened to what I needed, then assured me that they could help. I was so relieved I may have started crying on the phone, lol. She was amazing and put me at ease, but did say they only install their own products. Ok, no problem, I will look at your options. While talking with her on the phone I found 2 options that were very similar to what I had chosen from Menards, so she worked up a quote for both and called me the next day. Melissa had someone (I think the owner?) out the next day to measure, talk about what I was wanting done, and order the material. I had to work the day of the install (about a week later) so my parents tag-teamed being there with the floor guy who came out and both said he did an amazing job and was very thorough and detailed in his work. The floor looks amazing and I couldn't be happier with it! They did me a huge solid by getting the process done quickly, did great work, and were amazing to work with. Please use them for your flooring needs, they are located in Blue Springs and are a small company who takes pride in their work so you won't be sorry!

Exceptional Quality & Lifetime Warranty! Gateway Custom Coatings Transformed My Basement!…read more I am absolutely blown away by the incredible job Gateway Custom Coatings did on my basement floor and I wholeheartedly give them my highest recommendation! From the initial consultation to the final inspection, every step was handled with utmost professionalism and care. The communication was top-notch. Ella Palmer was fantastic in coordinating all the scheduling and billing, always keeping me in the loop with clear and prompt updates. Caleb Teague came out for the estimate and did a superb job explaining the entire process, patiently answering all my questions via email. His responsiveness was truly appreciated. When it came to the installation, Joseph Ball and his crew were phenomenal. Their professionalism and attention to detail were evident throughout the project. They did a fantastic job. I was also very impressed that Colby Coda, the owner, personally came out on the final day to inspect the work and introduce himself - a clear sign of a company that stands behind its quality. I was thrilled that I could order a custom vinyl flake blend, allowing me to achieve the exact aesthetic I envisioned for my basement. The prep work, especially the grinding, was exceptional. I had some significant high spots around a drain from previous, subpar concrete work, and I was worried about how it would turn out. Gateway's team handled it masterfully, and the area now looks perfectly smooth and integrated. All the previous cracks and divots in the floor have vanished completely. The finished floor is simply stunning - it looks and feels fantastic. The quality of the materials (Epoxy/Polyurea blend body coat, custom vinyl flake, and Polyaspartic top coat) combined with the expert installation has resulted in a truly premium finish. And the peace of mind that comes with their Lifetime Product AND Workmanship Warranty is invaluable. The only minor point, as expected with such industrial-grade materials, was the smell of the chemicals during application. However, this is a small and temporary inconvenience for such a durable and beautiful outcome, and certainly not something the team could avoid. I plan to update this review in about 6 months on the coating's longevity, though with the quality of work and the lifetime warranty, I have every confidence it will continue to impress. If you're looking for a high-quality, durable, and beautifully finished coated floor, with a team that is communicative, professional, and stands by their work with a lifetime warranty, then Gateway Custom Coatings is the company to choose.

I'm a single woman on a budget, remodeling my ENTIRE home. I'm working with many contractors. I've…read morehad more bids than i can count. I stressed to Zach how strict my budget was. Before I even hired him. He went above and beyond to find me a floor distributor and supplies that were high quality to put up with heavy traffic and a big dog. Yet still affordable. He also made sure before I hired him that I understood his schedule as a single dad of two kids, taking them to school and in sports. Being in a budget his willingness to help me find supplies made scheduling was the least of my worries. Once the job started I changed my mind midway thru on stair nosing and base board. Knowing that I'd have to pay for the additional work to get it re-done and materials (I was OK with paying that). he didn't once complain or get upset with me If you're on a budget and have some flexibility on scheduling, this is a great contractor. He has many other talents other than flooring. If you need input on design or which looks best, he will not just tell you what you want to hear to make it easy. He has an eye for the bigger picture.

I hired this contractor for a full flooring repair and deeply regret the decision. The work was not…read moreperformed according to the agreed scope, and the condition of the floor has steadily worsened since they left. From the start, the project dragged on far longer than anticipated. The contractor typically showed up for only a few hours at a time, stretching what should have been a straightforward job into a much longer, drawn-out process. Ironically, the quickest and most consistent communication I received was when requests for additional money were sent. We explicitly discussed and agreed that a base coat leveler would be applied across the entire floor before adhesive. While this appears to have been done in the initial areas, it was clearly skipped in multiple sections toward the end of the project. As I've been forced to pull up loose boards myself, I've found little to no adhesive and no leveler in several areas. It has become apparent that Mr. Marsh decided to skip these crucial steps as soon as he realized nobody was watching. Large sections of flooring have come completely loose. Boards were improperly seated, butt joints were oversized, and some boards were installed too tightly, creating humps. The floor is now in worse condition than when the project started. I've spent evenings and weekends drilling relief holes, applying adhesive, and repairing areas just to make the floor serviceable -- work I already paid this contractor to do correctly the first time. I reached out professionally and in detail to document these issues and give the contractor an opportunity to respond or make things right. I never received a reply. Poor workmanship, incomplete scope, extended timelines, and zero accountability. I strongly recommend others look elsewhere.

We had a WONDERFUL experience with Granite Garage Floors recently!…read more I've always wanted to epoxy my garage floors, and finally had the opportunity and budget to do so. After researching and reaching out to multiple companies, we decided to go with the folks at GGFKC. From their patience answering all our questions, to a thorough and transparent quoting process, to amazing follow up and follow THROUGH, working with the team at GGFKC was outstanding, start to finish. It's exceedingly rare to work with any sort of home repair company or contractor, and have them do exactly what they say they're going to do, exactly when they say they're going to do it. This company bucks that sad trend with flying colors! Our biggest challenge was going to be the window of opportunity to install the flooring at a time that worked for us, and ensuring they had an available crew at the right time. Greg and his team at GGF bent over backwards to make sure they could meet our timeframe, and then they hit the project out of the park! In just a couple weeks' time, I've already had no less than four envious neighbors complimenting me about the floors and asking about our experience. I'll tell you what I told them - I LOVE the floors I waited so long to get, and I HIGHLY recommend Granite Garage Floors of KC!
