History

Established in 2019.

Wilson Detailing officially started in 2019, but my passion began much earlier. I grew up washing cars for family members to earn extra money, and I truly loved it. After high school, I got a summer job at a car wash and fell in love with the work. I chose to stay in the industry instead of going to college. I joined a detail shop to learn the right way to care for vehicles and was promoted to lead detailer in just one month. That’s when I realized I could take my skills and start my own business. Though I’m now married and no longer have the Wilson last name, I kept it for the business to honor my father, the last Wilson in our family, and my family, who supported me from the beginning. Every vehicle I detail is done with care, passion, and pride.

Meet the Business Owner: Emily C.

Hi, I’m Emily, owner of Wilson Detailing. I’m 26 and proud to be born and raised in Athens, TN. My passion for detailing started young, but the car that truly sparked my love for it was a 1964 1/2 Mustang I helped clean and restore. I’ve always loved working with my hands, and there’s something incredibly satisfying about transforming a vehicle inside and out. I believe in doing it right the first time and always leaving things better than I found them. When I’m not detailing, I enjoy supporting other small businesses here in Athens and being part of the community that helped shape me.
