We were pulling out when the blond woman came swinging through the door and started screaming at a girl who had just thrown garbage into the bin. We determined that the freak-out was because the girl was not a customer. The employee demanded that the girl take the garbage out of the bin and she did, then threw it into the back of a truck parked beside the store. It turned out to be that employee's truck and that was so sassy and funny. After more screaming, threats, and cursing from the blond woman, the girl came back and took her garbage with her (we wish she hadn't). DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE, but if you want to see fireworks, park in the no parking area and toss some garbage out. Absolutely insane.

This alone is unacceptable but when I went in to inform them their pumps were malfunctioning they completely shrugged it off claiming it was fine and it would "just evaporate" which aside from the complete lack of concern for wasting my money, getting diesel all over my truck they don't seem to care at all they're dumping who knows how much gas and diesel all over the ground with enough regularity that they simply shrug it off and how this impacts the environment via run off. Definitely won't be back, they need auto shut off like every other proper gas station I've ever been to.

Whistler is not that small, but the only petrol pumping place around is this joint, and they could have a run down shack, and there would still be line ups, but this Husky is pretty nice. A big store inside with a bunch of goodies, and enough pumps to cater to the masses before going back out on the highway, this is your stop regardless if your going North or South from this destination. The area inside and outside is clean, including the washroom, and even though they probably have all capability to 'jack' you at the pump, they do not, compared to the price of the next town over (Squamish) it is fairly even.

I stopped in here for a routine gas up after coming back from SSI. First off, the second I walked in the door, both people behind the counter greeted me so cheerfully it made me smile. I grabbed an apple juice and made my way to the counter. I had a side mission to put air in my tires so I asked how much the air pump outside cost. And then I pulled a girlie move. I'm notoriously bad when it comes to cars. If you've SEEN my car you understand this sentence completely but to sum it up, let's just say I haven't been the best mum to little red car... i'm like one of those wacked out pagent mom's that bandaids up their kid every so often with redbull and hopes for the best. I throw oil in her. I gas her up. But other then that, i'm pretty clueless. So I asked how much air should be put in the tires. The gentleman behind the counter launched into an incredibly informative but completely over my head explanation about how I should not fill the tires to the max listed due to air pressure, or air heating... something to that effect. He was so pleasant in telling me the air of air pressure that I didn't want to interupt him with my normal, sarcastic "translation please" speech. When the super perky woman beside him chirped "fill them until the gauge hits 32. Period." We all laughed and I made my way outside. Totally upbeat from such a positive and comical interaction, I began filling my tires and low and behold, the gent came trotting across the tarmac to see if I had figured everything out! Friendly AND follow up? Well done Shell crew! We chatted for a few more minutes, I went in to wash my hands, tires successfully full (and double checked) and as I left, both employees stopped what they were doing/who they were serving momentarily to exuberantly wave and wish me well. I have not had such a positive interaction at a gas station.... EVER! Super friendly. Super helpful. Super genuine. Lately though, I'm starting to reassess where we're at. Now, don't get me wrong. You've always been easy; conveniently located right off the highway that I drive down to get just about anywhere. You're open 24 hours, which is a rarity in this neck of the woods. Plus you have that really nice dude working there who likes to pet the dogs & give them treats. But now, I'm moving. Our imminent separation has given me the opportunity to really take a good hard look at your offerings. WestChev, I'm gonna level with you. All too often, you're out of the premium grades of gasoline. With no sign on the pump! Now this may not seem like a big deal to you, but my car likes the expensive crap. Most importantly (and you may want to sit down for this) your pumps are incredibly slow. It's like my car is coupling with a sloth. Pick up the speed, man, we've all got things to do! Finally, your snack selection is the pits. I may see you from time to time, you know, if I'm in the neighborhood. But for now, we're done.
