Had to come here on a Craigslist buying meetup, as both me and the seller work around the area, and this is probably one of the safest places to meet up. Since I was early, I parked in one of the stalls after putting minimal petrol in the car. Parked in one of their slots, and walked into the store. The store is nice and new, as I had to buy lotto, and it was a ot day, the a/c was jacked, probably because this store also houses a White Spot Triple O's diner. If you want gas, and a stop to eat some better food than what a regular gas station can give you.. and you are lazy enough to not go anywhere else... one stop shop indeed. Also noticed they just changed their gas signs... and the numbers showing the outrageous Canadian prices is bright, LED bright, so they are saving gas while showing you how much you will be paying to feed your ride! If you are along Marine Drive.. may as well roll up here, it's newer due to the recent face lift, and bright.

So if you are leaving the busy core, and are along Knight, rolling up to 33rd, and have dodged all the crazy speeders, big rig trucks, and occasional accidents that lurk around this stretch of town and need to fuel up, buy smokes for the commute, or run in to get some snack, or try to hit it big with the lotto so you never have to fill your car yourself. It's fully renovated, bright, very roomy, and I don't think I have ever seen line-ups at this station, and it is at the right corner, so your not risking your life trying to pull out of the stop and you can wait for the lights to go red if your heading southbound toward Richmond!

I come here often due to…read morefamily living around the neighbourhood, and no other options for petrol that does not stray me away from Cambie Street. For as long as it has been here, they have always kept everything from the grounds outside, to the store front inside clean. Even the washroom, cause you never know when you need to use it, and when you do, you would rather go into one that is sanitary then the nightmares that all of us have seen in some other gas station washrooms. Usually never too busy, with enough pumps to serve everyone who rolls through, and they take Save-On points cards.

I ordered a iPhone charging cable from this Shell Convenience Shop location via UberEats on March…read more21 and while a convenience shop doesn't typically warrant a review - I wanted to note the excellent customer service from the individual at this Shell location. (My iPhone cable showed it to be charging with the lighting sign on the charging bar on the iPhone but it didn't seem to actually be charging and was running out of batteries - so I needed a replacement USB lighting cable ASAP... it was past 10 PM so most shops were closed but thankfully there was UberEats.) A quick search on the UberEats app showed several gas stations that carried the lighting cable. The first one I ordered from Petro Canada didn't have it in stock so they cancelled the order. I replaced the order with Shell on 49th Avenue that also showed to have the iPhone charging cable... along with three chocolate bars (Free delivery with $15 purchase on UberEats with Uber One membership at $9.99/month - the chocolate bars at this Shell was also cheaper than most convenience shops or gas station convenience shops. Two Kinder Bars were only $2 with a promo on UberEats and Caramilk was $1.5?) Anyways, shortly after I received a call from Shell with the attendant wanting to confirm which cable it was (the individual mentioned he used Samsung and wasn't familiar with the variation of iPhone cables) to ensure I had the right cable for the newer generation iPhone. What I noted was how polite and respectful the individual was on the phone (even on hanging up saying Thank You and have a nice day)... surprised at the courtesy and respect from a convenience shop at a gas station. Got some extra time so thought to write a review to note that the staff here seem very friendly and respectful. Confirmed which cable was needed and asked if I had any colour preferences (no) and received my charging cable in hand (with some chocolates!) shortly later just as my phone ran out of batteries. The convenience of UberEats and 24 hours convenience shops (I appreciate the attendant taking the time to ensure I had the right charging cable as the previous Petro Canada also called inquiring if it was type-C before cancelling the order when clarifying it was the 8-pin and they didn't have stock.)

There's a creepy cranky guy that works at this Chevron…read more Chevron gas is my favourite place to get fuel. I avoid this one unless I really have to (ie good price, or I'm really low on gas) The guy's name is Malik. For example when I pay by cash, he says, "do you need your change?" Then giggles at me??!! When I say, "yes of course" he replies with, "well you have to say so" and laughs as if it's funny?? When Aeroplan partnered with Journie, I tried to scan both cards. He got annoyed and said, "you can only use one!!". When I said that a different Cheveron let me do it, he got angry and said, "try it again then!" Which I did, but it didn't go through. Then he said, "see!? I told you!" He totally gave me the creeps.

The last time I visited here, I pulled up to pump 1 and went inside to pay. Upon returning to the pump, I was dismayed that it didn't work. I had to return inside three times before the clerk had to cancel and refund my payment, then advise me to pull up to another pump (so I had to pay again). Argh. At least, at the new pump, everything worked. I'm not dinging this station for this one minor issue. It was an anomaly. Every other time I've been here, everything's worked fine. And the clerk inside is always super nice and helpful. The inside of the associated convenience store has always been spotless, and large, with a ton of selections for foods and beverages. There are lots of pre-made dishes (and they don't look like the crappy fare in most gas station stores, either). One thing I LOVED here: they have a decent selection of Jewish foods! Yes, in the gas station store! There are Manischewitz cake mixes and matzah and other kosher canned and jarred foods, and Jewish candles and other small staples. I've never seen this stuff at a gas station and, despited being exorbitantly priced, I was impressed they stocked this stuff. This station has extended hours of operation, but there is no car wash here (unfortunately).

I wanted to like this Petro-Canada, but when I paid with my gift card at the cashier for 20 dollars…read moreof gas, I got only 19.50 cents worth of gas. The receipt said only 20 dollars of gas and my tank wasn't even half full. Think twice before you get gas at this station!!! On another note, they serve fresh pizzas and hot dogs.
