So if you are leaving the busy core, and are along Knight, rolling up to 33rd, and have dodged all the crazy speeders, big rig trucks, and occasional accidents that lurk around this stretch of town and need to fuel up, buy smokes for the commute, or run in to get some snack, or try to hit it big with the lotto so you never have to fill your car yourself. It's fully renovated, bright, very roomy, and I don't think I have ever seen line-ups at this station, and it is at the right corner, so your not risking your life trying to pull out of the stop and you can wait for the lights to go red if your heading southbound toward Richmond!

Good thing that there were no line up. The issue is that it is not easy to get to this gas station if you are heading south. Well I was heading west so I managed to drive into the station. No line up. Gas as 209.9 everywhere and it was 207.9. Plus I have a CIBC credit so I get 2.5 cents off. So it was 205.4 for me. Gas has gotten so expensive.

When I went to open the freezer door, an extremely loud and shrill alarm went off. Scared and confused, I quickly closed the door and asked an employee what the hell was going on. He gave me a disengaged response of, "Oh, the alarm goes off when people open the freezer door." I questioned him further, and the reasoning for the alarm is to prevent theft. Fuck you. First, I am not a criminal, so fuck you for treating me like one. The only thing I am guilty of is eating crap like ice cream and gaining weight. Second, the alarm is very loud and painful, and is extremely startling. If theft of ice cream is such a problem, then lock the freezer and have people request it, or have the ice cream behind the counter, like cigarettes. Or at the very least have a SIGN saying there will be an alarm, or have a "beep beep" sound to alert the cashier, not a fucking loud, shrill, continuous alarm, scaring innocent customers. For this reason, this 7-Eleven gets one star. Also, they never have ginger ale in the fridge, so you can only get warm ginger ale. And their hash browns are hard as rocks and their breakfast sandwiches taste like crap.

I don't blame the employees, from everything I've seen, whoever is managing this store is a godamn monster. Forcing them to do corporate upsell speils during rushes, the paperwork obsession, refusing to throw away ruined food, the ice cream alarm? That doesn't seem like the actions on the floor. Whoever is in charge of this place appears to be hostile to both employees and customers. Avoid this location.
