Very, VERY rarely does a gas station leave an impression on me. Mostly it's a wham, bam, thank you ma'am gas stop with an habitual wince at the price i'm being nailed for on gas. But this particular gas station left such an impression that not only did I stop to take pics but I left myself a note to review it on my dash. (My past self helps out my future self a lot...) I stopped in here for a routine gas up after coming back from SSI. First off, the second I walked in the door, both people behind the counter greeted me so cheerfully it made me smile. I grabbed an apple juice and made my way to the counter. I had a side mission to put air in my tires so I asked how much the air pump outside cost. And then I pulled a girlie move. I'm notoriously bad when it comes to cars. If you've SEEN my car you understand this sentence completely but to sum it up, let's just say I haven't been the best mum to little red car... i'm like one of those wacked out pagent mom's that bandaids up their kid every so often with redbull and hopes for the best. I throw oil in her. I gas her up. But other then that, i'm pretty clueless. So I asked how much air should be put in the tires. The gentleman behind the counter launched into an incredibly informative but completely over my head explanation about how I should not fill the tires to the max listed due to air pressure, or air heating... something to that effect. He was so pleasant in telling me the air of air pressure that I didn't want to interupt him with my normal, sarcastic "translation please" speech. When the super perky woman beside him chirped "fill them until the gauge hits 32. Period." We all laughed and I made my way outside. Totally upbeat from such a positive and comical interaction, I began filling my tires and low and behold, the gent came trotting across the tarmac to see if I had figured everything out! Friendly AND follow up? Well done Shell crew! We chatted for a few more minutes, I went in to wash my hands, tires successfully full (and double checked) and as I left, both employees stopped what they were doing/who they were serving momentarily to exuberantly wave and wish me well. I have not had such a positive interaction at a gas station.... EVER! Super friendly. Super helpful. Super genuine. Dear employees - I wish I had gotten your names but if you ever happen upon this, THANK YOU for truly giving a damn! You absolutely made my afternoon. Several delineator cones set up between pumps with no further flagging or instruction. I attempted to fill a small jerry can that was very much accessible to pump. No obstructions, no signage, pump accepted my card and requested I start fuelling. Nothing happened. No one from inside notified me that the pumps down at any time. I returned nozzle to holster and proceeded to cashier to see what the problem was. A very aggressive and rude woman emerged to form me the pump was down (I think that was what she was yelling). I told her if she had let me know that over the intercom I could have saved considerable time. She asked me how I got my driver's license. I asked her who her Manager or Supervisor was and she refused to tell me so I proceeded inside the store and asked to see the Manager. As I was explaining the situation to the Manager the employee, on several occasions said "whatever" in reference to what her Supervisor was communicating. She made reference to the job she held not meaning much to her and that "I" could have it. At no time was there a sign of remorse or regret in either her action or manner. To answer the staff's question, I received my driver's license in 1983 with zero demerits being deducted at the time of testing. Since that time I have driven several hundred vehicles in a professional capacity. In more than 35 years of driving I have never experienced such un-professional service as I did today. I am hopeful that management communicates a positive message to this individual in hopes that something like this is not repeated. read more

I frequent this gas station for location, I purchase gas my weekend paper and get my tires checked ! This is also the best car wash for my car, in eight years it has never failed me !I have always appreciated the customer service here, friendly and always willing to help ! Today I used the car wash and it was not operating properly, left side did not spray much out of the wand! so left my car still dirty. I went inside to ask if it was in need of repair still as it was closed a few days last week it was not working! The attendant (Gabriel) was exceptionally rude to me, said he had used it earlier and it was fine accusing me of being rude! I think because I said he was accusing me of being a liar. He then came outside to view my car wiping his hand on it it several places, you can have your money back. That is not the exceptional customer service that I get at this shell in the last eight years. I think it should have been I'm sorry how about we give you your next car wash free and just a simple "sorry" I asked to speak to a manager and he informed me that it would be him ! The episode left me a little shaken at how nasty his voice was and so terribly rude to me !!! read more

On August 28, 2017, I took my 2012 Ford Escape XLT thru the car wash at the Shell station located at 1591 56 St, Delta, BC. Not only did it do a terrible job of washing the car, but it also ripped off the front bumper cover and licence plate. I immediately reported the incident to the attendant who filled out a report, took some photos and informed me that someone would contact me. He gave me no copy of the report, or anything to document the incident. I have still not heard from anyone at Shell. I was contacted by Crawford & Company (Canada) Inc. and informed that my claim had been denied, sighting that the car wash equipment was operating under acceptable parameters and that my front bumper must have been defective or loose. A very brazen statement to make considering no one had inspected my car to determine any previous damage. I have owned this car for over 5 years now. The front end is in immaculate condition. The front bumper has never been removed or disassembled. The car has been in no accidents. The car is completely stock and has no aftermarket additions or modifications. I went into the car wash with a complete and whole car. I came out of the car wash with a piece dislodged and folded under the car. And the car was still filthy! How can Shell possibly deny responsibility for this? I have photos documenting the state of the car immediately after exiting the car wash. Shell obviously does not care about their customers, and has no sense of proper customer service. I emailed Shell customer service, with photographic proof of the damage to my car, and the filthy condition in which it came out of the car wash. I have not, as of yet, received any response, acknowledging this incident or the poor quality wash. read more
