The engine came off one of their rental boats - but was told that it was 'the owners boat' (I found out the rental boat bit buy looking at their web site and seeing the boat and the engine in their photos). When I started to ask questions, the sales guy was 100% rude and evasive. He promised to send the service records but when my wife called the main office to see about servicing the engine for shipping, the sales guy called back and went off on her. She was supper upset and crying after the call. I was just trying to buy a motor. No need to make my wife cry. Probably lucky that we did not buy the motor. They were clearly trying to hide something. I would stay away from Rex Marine. There is something bad going on there. No one does customer service this way.

I had been in the water for 5 straight years though hauled every 6 months for cleaning and new zinc. This time I wanted to do the work myself or so I thought. On their own, Harett came over twice and offered to help. Of course I paid him. The haul was the most reasonable and so was the labor. The yard, the old Brewers West is going through some transition but I got great work done here. Very happy.

First, boat means Break Out Another Thousand -- vehicles in salt water require maintenance and work. Second, if you are nice good things happen. The staff from top to bottom are really nice people trying to do he best they can. My boat is not the poster child of perfection, but, staff have always treated me fairly and gotten the job done. Yes, some bills set high, but others set low -- it all averages out. Finally, all work, at least for me, has been first rate. To me THAT is what is important. If you want to save $$ do it yourself. If you want to get it one right, open the wallet!

Horrible business with rude employees…read more - Initially I came by and they said I could start my reservation at 12:00PM. - I passed a 15 min course to learn that the boat is actually unavailable due to weather; - the guy at the cashier said -- "I'm uncomfortable putting you on a boat because there is an upcoming storm coming" - come back at 3pm. - I called them multiple times between 1:30-2:30 to find out if the weather is ok to rent a boat or not - nobody answered - at 345 a very angry man called me and demanded that I pay for the boat a full price. Very dishonest practice of doing business. Horrible cancelation policy and borderline fraudulent enterprise. I lost $300 despite being told by an employee that it's unsafe for me to take a boat tour: I'll be reporting them to multiple government agencies and will be seeking remedies. Very unfair and dishonest. Avoid at all cost.

I don't know how anyone could ever give Palmer Point a one star review! Actually, it looks like…read morethat reviewer either gives five or one stars to everyone, so that's not very helpful. I have had nothing but great experiences with Palmer Point. Everyone there is friendly and helpful. The service yard is filled with experienced workers and they can handle any need a boater may have. The gas dock is cheap and they honor a $0.10 per gallon discount for BoatUS members. They also have an abundance of different sized boat slips with full amenities (power, water, etc.). I also love that it's family owned! I have nothing bad to say about Palmer Point and would highly recommend them to any of my fellow boaters.
