They roll in with every piece of equipment you could imagine, arrive on time, are kind and communicative, and after six months of waiting on others -- they are banging out a beautiful job, just in the first day they're here. I'm giddy with excitement as my punch list gets smaller and smaller and it's all taking shape. I feel so blessed to have found them and, though you have to be patient to wait your turn, they are fast, efficient, friendly and it was well worth the wait. I highly endorse them, and will have them do a rough bid on some other projects, since they have such advanced skills, save up the funds, and keep bringing them back. The project was in two parts because part of the damage was under solar panels. So we paid for what he did, and stayed in touch as the installers weren't able to get to us for weeks. Final roofing work happened yesterday, and he also replaced two shingles that had fallen since he'd left (not his fault). Easy to communicate with, generally responded same day or next day. Would use again.

Matthew came and looked at it and recommended a pressure treated fence to match the rest of the deck. He looked closely at it, took pictures and did an absolutely beautiful job. Matthew was always on time and finished in under a day. He also replaced a rotted handrail on the deck. It came out perfect! Received a call saying that he's stuck on an important estimate... Obviously more important than us. "He'll understand if you need to find a different contractor." Dude, just nut up and run your business. You're no longer interested in making the house handicap accessible for my disabled wife. Ultimately, just too nice/ (cowardly?) to say "I'm too busy to do your job, go find someone else." Now, we've lost a couple months of lead time starting the process all over again. After…read moremultiple failed communications and an apology from the operator of the facebook page, I was told that I would be called to schedule an appointment. I explained in my messages and during our call that I was looking to have a fascia board replaced, and if that went well, that would would like them to demo two apartment units at the same property. They agreed, and we scheduled a date two weeks out. Long time out to schedule an estimate, but hey, I get everyone is busy, no biggie. Today, 2 hours before our estimate appointment (and hours after I confirm my appointment with them), Nick calls me to tell me he's too busy to come out to do the fascia board estimate, and that he's not interested in the apartment demo work either; calling it "a carrot being dangled in front of him". Sorry, but there's no carrot being dangled. At the time of this review, Family Tree and Home has 10 reviews and a 3.7 star rating on Google. Trust is earned, not assumed. I did not ask for a "deal" on either job. I was happy to pay fair market rate for the work completed. If the work was done well, there would be more. That's simple business. If the job was too small from the beginning, Nick could have spared all of us the hassle by just saying such at the beginning. No customer does repeat work with poor service providers, that goes without saying. Thank you for saving me future headache by showing the (lack of) professionalism that you operate with from the very beginning.

I really didn't like her demeanor especially towards the end of the project. She started coming up with excuses about why things weren't getting done in a timely manner. Our project was suppose to take 10 weeks and it took at least 20. I should've never trusted her, there are so many red flags now. She didn't pay the contractors who did the work here. She won't answer any phone calls or emails from anyone she owes. But she went away every weekend while our project dragged on. The backsplash was the last thing to do and the guy doing the tile said he couldn't do it because the wall was so uneven. She told him to just do it. She made him do it anyway. Then she never paid him! And we have a backslash with 3 inches of spackle behind it. It's glass tile and its cracking. I hear she's bankrupt. The guys that did work here are calling asking if we've heard from her. We paid her over $100,000,00 and I think she was here 3 times. Be careful, and don't use Cherie Carignan she owes a lot of ppl money.

We had some ideas on what we wanted the finished bath to include, but did not know how much change could be worked into the space available. Cherie was able to design for us a new bathroom that feels spacious and includes many of the things we were looking for. Cherie also handled support for the cabinets and design details, working with us on paint colors and hardware details along with the plans that were needed for our contractor, Roberto of Double R Home Improvements, to build us the perfect complement to our master bedroom. Cherie was very prompt with replies to our questions and had several suggestions that we would not have thought of on our own. Overall, we are very pleased to have worked with Cherie and recommend her highly!
